Outstanding falafel and flavors. The vegetables were 100% fresh and tasty. The service is very friendly and the restaurant had a very relaxing environment.

SO GOOD! My husband and I were looking for some thing hardy and fresh and this place delivered. It is almost like a chipotle style approach, but with all of the great Middle Eastern food options. I love being able to add literally all of these fresh veggies to my bowl! The spicy hummus is a perfect amount of heat and don't forget to get both the sauces to complete your bowl off. We also got the fries and the aioli with it was also made to perfection.

Wish I could give this place 10 stars!! These people KNOW FLAVORS. Ate here twice during our travels and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. The portions are enormous so fair warning but it's worth loosening the buttons on your pants for. After you order, they will go down their bar of toppings and sauces to ask you what you would like in your wrap/bowl. Highly recommend the red sauce for spice. We had the falafel bowl and the falafel wrap the first time we ate here and the mushroom seitan shawarma the second time. A++ on each of these items. The house-made lemonade was delicious also!

So delicious!!! Great flavors, large portion, and beautiful restaurant. I got the falafel bowl and you are able to choose your own toppings. I will be coming back here frequently.

Favorite quick meal in Madrid. I absolutely love the bowls and the people who work there are always so kind. Recommend 110%

This place was a nice break from eating tapas during my stay in Spain. I appreciated the lighter and more plant based concept. My partner and I tried the shwarma bowl and the falafel pita. Both were fine, but nothing exceptional. They really do pack the pita pocket and offer a large portion for the bowl. I really enjoyed the falafel in my sandwich--they were crispy and flavorful. However, we didn't realize the "shwarma" was actually seitan so that was a little disappointing but not their fault. Otherwise a fine meal and pleasant break from some of the more heavy foods in Spain. Just note there wasn't much seating inside the restaurant so it may be a little trickier for larger parties.

Really excellent falafel in Madrid! Very convenient location right between Lavapies and Anton Martín. Their bowls and pitas are both delicious. The fries are super tasty too! The space is modern and industrial, great for a quick lunch or dinner, and easy to take to go, as well. The menu is simple but effective. Staff is friendly and laid back. Highly recommend for a quick bite. Only downside is the prices are slightly high and not much variety in terms of beverages (no wine, only one beer option).

    Review Highlights - Falafeleria

I had it stuffed with falafel, all the vegetables (and parsley) except pickles with a mild sauce and tahini.

The layout and atmosphere totally transported me to a romantic getaway in Middle East somewhere. Unfortunately, I was dining alone -___- Cuscus de Carne - Beef couscous. It's just ok, the couscous was done decently nice, but the beef could've been done better. Te Frio - Iced Mint Tea. This is very refreshing, I'd recommend it! FYI - The workers here speak 0 English. When I said I felt like I was transported to somewhere in Middle East, I wasn't kidding lol... I was lost even looking at their menu, I had to google translate everything! They only got 1 employee serving, so your food'll take awhile. However, it's the perfect date spot!

This place is gorgeous! I mean, the entrance alone was enchanting. Great date spot!…read more The service is over-eager as they kept taking things away that we weren't done with but at least they were attentive. The food is why I would return. Their Cous Cous pots are sublime and their chicken in a pastry was superb. It's supposed to be tagine but they don't call it that. My calabaza and milk (yes, leche) pot was a hit and the hubster's fave. And all super cheap for the quality of cooking you're getting. Let's not overlook the perfection that is their hummus. One note, however, the hubster's niece found a hair in her dish. Ew, I know, but the food is seriously that delicious that I'd overlook it. They also have seating on the floor but since my mother-in-law wouldn't be comfy, we opted for a large table in the back. If you come, ask for the floor seating for a more authentico experience.

You go in there, into any one of…read morethem, and eat the junk food they serve, buy a bucket of beer, and later you're gifted with bowel issues. That's just how it works, and you accept it. The beers you enjoy less than the company you're with, and the food less still. These sorts of experiences are a dime a dozen. Beirut, however, offers glorious respite from the monotony of these endless falafel-shop copies. Its terrace, in spite of being situated on a corner of a crossroad, is quiet and shady, and seats twenty or so. The ambiance here, in a less-traveled nook of the neighborhood, leaves Calle Argumosa (and all of its falafel shops) in the dust. For the same price that you can buy a gut-bomb elsewhere, you can have a delicious shawarma, falafel, or kebab prepared to order, in the moment at Beirut. There is a proper kitchen run by a woman and who I assume is her husband. The latter waits tables and has always been friendly with us. When I have brought my Spanish friends here, to this relative unknown, they have all been thrilled saying that it's just about impossible to find common street food this good elsewhere. Oh, and they also offer combo platters that are WAY TOO MUCH food for one person, replete with a variety of sauces (all delicious). And that's why I've taken the time to write this review: Beirut, compared to the other Moroccan/Middle Eastern places around Lavapies, offers a far superior experience both in food quality and setting. It's one of my favorite restaurants to visit.

They saw us (the place is tiny, only 9 tables) but were busy fixing some mess --looked like delayed orders. We ordered the veg combo plate: hummus, falafel, mohamara, baba ganouj, grape leaves & pita bread for 10€. A generous & nicely-presented plate arrived. Everything was fine except the hummus, which was watery & insipid. The baba wasn't quite up to par either; it lacked that nice smokey flavor but worse, tasted a bit acidic, like it was a day or two past its prime. The guys running the place were nice, but how do you f*ck up hummus & baba ghanouj?
