My favorite meal/experience during our visit to the wonderful city of Madrid. Many reviews highly praised the tapas so we decided to see if we could get in. As foreigners, we arrived earlier than the locals which worked out well. By the time we finished there was a crowd waiting outside. We loved the casual atmosphere and the elevated flavors of the tapas. The wine was perfect and we chose just the right amount of dishes that complimented one another. We felt like this was someplace special and were happy to have experience it. read more

Last evening in Madrid, so I searched Yelp for a good place to go out with a BANG!!! This spot WAS IT! Modern and hipster crowd in this bustling spot filled with a mix of locals and tourists sipping on creatively crafted cocktails and chowing down on some tasty tapas! Service was attentive as could be with the amount of people they had to cater to. It was around 7:45 pm and it was packed with patrons. We managed to grab a table, but the others after us were waiting!! ***OUR PICKS*** VERDE QUE TE QUIERO VERDE and a pineapple juice ~ Both were refreshing and quenched our thirst! 5/5 GRILLED BEEF ENTRAÑAS WITH CHIMICHURRI BUTTER ~ the main star of our meal! Cooked perfectly, seasoned just right and oh so juicy beef! We looked around us and many other tables also ordered this! After days of seafood, small bits of meat, we finally get some BEEF! Loved this! 5/5 SALMON TARTARE WITH LAMB'S LETTUCE, MANGO AND AVOCADO ~ a tad bit salty but we enjoyed the lamb's lettuce which isn't something we've had before in the states. 4/5 PADRÒN PEPPERS ~ every chance we could get, we got padròn peppers. In Spain, they deep fry these guys and they're perfect to munch on with a cocktail! 5/5 SLOW COOKED SPANISH PORK CHEEKS WITH RED WINE AND TAMARINDO SAUCE ~ bursting with flavorful from the highly concentrated sauce and the meat was fork tender! 5/5 Wish we had come here from the start, but grateful we had this one opportunity to try their food and drinks. It made our last evening memorable! read more

A modern but down to earth cocktail and tapas bar. This was far from the same old tapas joint with the usual fare. Creatively crafted reinterpretated classic drinks. IE A Manhattan with three different local vermouths. Great food. Service was top notch in spite of being busy. Frankly, we went there the first night and probably should have just gone back every day. read more

Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with way better than average tapas menu. Burrato and tomatoes were roasted perfectly. Eggplant was tender. The big winner was the portobello stuffed with goat cheese and mango foam - combo of all 3 flavors in one bite was really special. read more

My mom and I found this gem on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try, and wow, we are so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was beyond friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was vibrant, lively, and fun. I ordered the sangria, which was honestly the best I had in Madrid, while my mom enjoyed a lovely glass of wine. We started with the padrón peppers, burrata with tomato salsa, and patatas bravas -- every single dish was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. For the main course, we had the beef with chimichurri and butter, and OMG... it was phenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly, and all the flavors complemented each other so well. To finish the night, we shared the chocolate dessert and the "Love Chueca" cocktail, which was incredible and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. Amazing food, fantastic drinks, wonderful staff, and such a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Madrid! read more

Wow, incredible food and drinks and probably my favorite place I dined at during my time in Spain. My friend and I wanted to eat something local but were getting tired of the typical Spanish tapas so decided to give this place a try, and Entre Santos definitely puts on a unique and delicious twist. Before I talk about the food though, I have to mention the service was pretty bad - our food came out super super slow, one dish came out 90 minutes after we had ordered it and the other dishes like 40 - 60 minutes after we had ordered and it was a frustrating wait since we had other plans in the evening. It was nearly impossible to get a server's attention and they didn't check up on us at all, so although the food was amazing, I docked off a star for their lackluster service. If you have all the time in the world, you should definitely come here but if you're in a rush, it's a no-go. Every dish we ordered was very tasty, but our favorites had to be the grilled squid with apple and mint mayo and the chicken mohammed with harissa sauce and orange confit. So so good and unique combinations we wouldn't have thought to try together before. Somehow the fruity additions to the squid and chicken really work and served as the highlight or bonus point of the dishes. The cocktails we ordered were phenomenal as well, we ordered two each because we had to try more! The Red Hot Chili Rita is fantastic if you're a spicy drink lover like me. Would absolutely come back but would have to plan out 2 - 3 free hours to dine here. Hope they can step up the service in the future. read more

In one word: Wonderful One of the best meals we've had in Spain. We ordered the four beef homemade croquetas "Ropa vieja" and the grilled beef "Entraña" with chimichurri butter. The croquetas arrived hot and crispy and obviously freshly fried. Meet inside was well-seasoned shredded beef. Four is plenty for two people. The grilled beef "Entraña" with chimichurri butter arrived medium rare as requested. Tasted great. This and the croquetas were a perfect meal for two. All the other plates around us looked great, too. Fried green peppers! Service was excellent. Ambience was friendly. Locals and travelers. Paintings from local artists adorn the walls. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Chueca. read more

I stopped by Entre Santos in Madrid for dinner recently. The restaurant was friendly for dining solo. Foodwise though, I'd give my experience 7.5/10: - Spicy potatoes: 7.8/10: Good Potatoes. The tapas and cocktails here were excellent. This little bar was near our hotel, so we our family of 4 stopped by thinking we would just grab a quick bite. The cocktails were excellent. The tapas were even better. The patatas bravas was the best I've had. The croquettes were also amazing. The risotto was also very good. We were just in Madrid for a few days, but this was our favorite meal. read more

Came back 2 more times during my stay in Madrid! I'd be a regular for sure if I lived here. Last night was a cut steak that was awesome and asked for fries on the side ) fries were crispy and thin but I love them that way) and it was the best cooked steak we've had since being out in Spain. Steak came with sweat potato so technically we didn't need to add fries to the side and the plate "as is" would have been great also. Can't wait to come back again on another trip! read more

Best tapas experience we've had in Spain. Delicious food and lively atmosphere! Service was great too.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Touristy - the waiters themselves will tell you that it's mostly tourists. Got sucked in by the good Trip Advisor reviews. INATTENTIVE staff that seem more interested in hanging with their friends than actual service. Seriously, they are chatting with each other or drinking shots most of the time. Got my order wrong and then insisted that I ordered what they gave me instead. Also, got the grilled squid on recommendation, only to have the cartilage not removed. Go anywhere, any restaurant, and the cartilage is almost always removed because it has a texture akin to plastic. No matter what they try and tell you, it should always be cleaned out, especially at the ABSURD prices they charge. I've eaten squid plenty of times and this is a first to have it not cleaned out properly. It was replaced with a cleaned version by a different waiter. The first brought it back in a way that put the blame on me. What a disappointment. read more

This restaurant was a such a treat! So much so, I dined two nights in a row while traveling solo in Madrid. The drinks and food were beautifully crafted and delicious. I tried the tomatoes and burrata cheese, fried stuffed mushroom, grilled squid, and salmon tartare. The very talented and friendly bartender Kevin made me refreshing and unique cocktails. Tequila based one night and vodka the next. The crew here is super fun, attentive and hard working. Made the experience worthwhile. Highly recommend! read more

We had read reviews online and were warned to show up early because of the line. We showed up at opening time and NO ONE was there, on a Sunday. It was probably another hour before the place got full. The atmosphere is modern and cute, but very very quiet when it was just us 2 in there. Maybe a little background music would be nice. The waitress was very nice, and the drinks were delicious! My hubby has a Paloma and switched to the Asian Mule after trying mine- super spicy refreshing, I had 2! The food was great, we had a lot of food throughout the day and got there not super hungry, but they serve you a complimentary snack when you walk in, and we love the scallops and stuffed portobello mushrooms. We also got the tuna tartare, which was also good and good portion, and the croquettes, which was our least favorite overall. We had a great time and would be happy to come back. For 4 tapas, and 4 cocktails, we spent 70+€, very reasonable for the quality. read more

We had the beef croquettes, chicken Mohammad, and grilled Spanish tenderloin . Anyone that says that this food is less than perfect, may need to get their tastebuds examined. I came here with my cousin while on vacation. The staff were amazing and the food was even better. We ordered 3 dishes - they were out of the beef tenderloin but the waiter came back and said they had enough for one more dish. They brought each dish out one at a time. Just as we finished talking about how we couldn't believe how good it was, out came another dish that took our pallet to another level. read more

Absolutely the most amazingly prepared tapas. It is a cocktail bar with multiple specialty drinks which are wonderful. The food is the kicker. Beautiful and delicious. It will have you drooling when it arrives to the table. But don't over order 4-5 tapas for two will usually satisfy you especially if you mix it with the cocktails that are amazing The staff phenomenal. Great atmosphere. The staff was great. Very energetic and helpful. Negroni caribeño was best Negroni I have had in a very long time. White wine was very good. The cheese and pretzel they brought to the table was very good. Other people got nuts, but the cheese was great. Had the entraña with chimichurri butter. Best beef I had on the trip! Had the grilled squid in bed if cooked apples. This is in the running for best dish of the trip! Patatas Bravas was very good. Had high hopes for the lemon pie. It did have a very tart lemon mousse(?) , but is was presented on a cooked, very dry, meringue that was tough to eat. read more

Omg this might have been my fav meal we had in Spain. Everything was masterfully prepared and DELISH from the cocktails to the dessert. I got a negroni which was perfectly sweet and bitter. They serve drinks w breadsticks and a rlly yum truffle cream cheese dip. Highly recommend the squid, perfectly cooked and pairs nicely w the apples. I love how large the peppers padron serving is. Winner for most unexpected deliciousness was dessert, a very unique "red velvet" situation w goat cheese-- perff read more

First the ambiance of this great place on a Monday night is great... is packed or sit at the bar where Salva & Mateo will take care of you really well. Food wow!! Had the warm Portbello filled with goat cheese on an awesome fillow dough light and crisp over a bed of greens and a reduction of mango. The combination of flavors will blow your mind. Second the Chiripiones (calamari) grilled over semisweet orange relish, flavors your mouth are not specting!!! I sat at the bar and the mix of people is incredible young bibrant! The bar has an array of cocktails the menu is not that big and it doesn't need to be. This is a perfect spot in Madrid centro near the gran via. They are open late so no excuse to try it out. Side note: while at "Entre Santos" a guest came back insisting that he was not charged enough for the incredible food and drinks his party had!! So he actually paid extra for another plate and drinks!!! read more
