The Papardelle with mushrooms and a poached egg was exquisite. Pasta was perfect and fresh as can be, and the sauce was creamy but not too overpowering. Then the Burrata and Iberian Ham pizza was pretty much perfect. Salty Iberian ham and the soft burrata with each bite was breathtaking. While staying in the area there was one night we really wanted Italian fare and not have to go so far from our spot so we found this spot. Food was all delicious, hot, and cooked to order. The menu here pulls a fusion of Spanish fare and modern Italian food. They have all traditional modern dishes with a touch of non-traditional but in a very good way. I got the prawn risotto which tasted very good after a long day of walking and visiting Madrid. My partner ended up getting a lasagna and it came out in it's own small iron cast pan. For an appetizer, or tapa if you will, we got a nice warm soup bowl that came with a side of dehydrated veggie chips (all homemade). It was the perfect warm and cozy meal for a unseasonably cold and rainy Madrid evening. Even the fresh parm came out in a small iron cast tiny dutch oven/pan that was adorable and very on brand with the modern decor around. There is a wall, in one of the seating areas, that has flowers in olive oil so nicely displayed and perfect for a picture background. Service was timely and we were even offered a shot of liquor before we continued our night by our waitress. We had to decline because we were so so full of pasta and food and satisfied. read more

We had just arrived today from the US and were looking for a yummy Italian restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner. Found this on yelp and decided to give it a try. We started with a Margarita Pizza and it was delicious. For our main entree we all decided to order the Chicken Piccata because we were hungry and wanted something with protein and this was a total miss. The chicken was cold in the middle which leads us to believe they precook the chicken and refrigerate it and just warm it up with the sauce. We sent one back because it was ice cold and they gave us a new one and the same thing happened. Needless to say we will not be coming back here. Came here with friends for our first dinner in Madrid. Definitely worth it. Food: I got the carbonara and my wife got a vodka based meal but every body loved their meal, it was the perfect meal all around without feeling too heavy despite heavier foods. We found this restaurant while we were out walking around. It has a nice pleasant atmosphere. Service was excellent. We ordered the Mozzarella caprese and the Fig & Goat Cheese Ravioli. Both were excellent choices. The caprese was nice and fresh, and mozzarella was terrific. The fig & goat cheese in the ravioli were expertly combined, so one did not overpower the other. Located conveniently close to Puerta de Atocha train station, this spot provided us with a tasty meal while we were staying at the nearby Only You Hotel. The salmon and avocado salad was excellent and the burrata salad was tasty except for a couple tomatoes that seemed a bit past prime. The four cheese pizza was decent and we enjoyed a local red wine that was 16 euros for the bottle. Service was friendly and not terribly slow like some places we visited in Spain. I would come back here. The only detracting factors were that some random guy came out of nowhere and seemed to drunkenly fall on the person sitting next to us. He was promptly escorted out but kind of sketchy. Also, this place does a robust business with local bike deliveries who kept coming in and leaving the door open, which made things kind of cold on a January night. We visited the Oven location across the street from the Real Madrid Stadium. We had a great experience. I ordered a salmon and avocado salad which was very fresh and delicious. Service a 0, food between 2-3 stars. My son got the pepperoni pizza which was probably the best of what we ordered. I had lasagna that came out like warm and was second best. My wife had the truffle pasta which had no truffle taste and came out cold. My mother in law had bolognese which came out hot and tasted too sweet (not from carrots or similar but almost sugary). My father had the bbq chicken pizza which was not good at all. Waitress was dismissive at best and not so available. By the fifth homeless person who visited the table it made me think the restaurant needs better presence outdoors in order to stop that from happening. I understand they can't stop it completely, but there should be staff addressing this so customers don't have to deal with it themselves. Fortunately for the restaurant we don't live here so we won't be back either way. However, for those who live here I'd want better. read more

Location, food, and interior were all great! Highly recommend the Truffle & Mushroom with egg poche pappardelle. Make reservations so you don't have any issues with getting a table. We didn't have reservations but arrived right when they opened at 5pm. Luckily they were able to seat us but did warn us that we could only stay for 75 minutes given reservations they had already booked. Completely understandable and we did finish our meal in time. Only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating was the woman that spoke with us when we arrived asking for a table was rude. She appeared to be irritated by the fact that we were there right when they opened and didn't have reservations. She walked away, maybe to talk to someone else or check the evening's reservations list. When she came back she instructed us about the time limit and when we agreed, the heavy sigh and straight face didn't seem like she was happy to receive our business. She could've just told us that without reservations we couldn't get a table and we would've been ok with it. Nevertheless, we were appreciative of them squeezing us in. Maybe because we're American tourists who don't speak the language well or our lack of understanding any cultural differences in how to interact with restaurant staff - who knows.... Overall, despite the unwelcoming hostess, we really enjoyed the food and our actual server was very nice and attentive. read more

We were really looking forward to eating here because we just a bit tired of Tapas. We arrived at 7:45. The outside tables where full but every inside table was empty. We asked if we could have a table and were asked if we had a reservation. There was no mention on yelp of needing one so I was surprised, no we did not. She indicated a table for two toward the front were we sat and waited, and waited, for over 12 sminutes we waited. Meanwhile we watch a waiter on his phone hanging out at the bar and the woman who asked if we had a reservation setup glasses and stayed behind the bar. There was also a third waiter working the outside tables. Now we have waited longer for service because we understand service in Spain is normally slower than in the states but it was starting to be obvious we were being ignored so we got up and left. We went around the corner to a Tapas bar where we were served a drink within 5 minutes of sitting down and they were much busier.
