Came here with friends for our first dinner in Madrid. Definitely worth it. Food: I got the carbonara and my wife got a vodka based meal but every body loved their meal, it was the perfect meal all around without feeling too heavy despite heavier foods. Service: great service, nothing to really say. Ambiance: right by Estacion del Arte, it's a very pretty place right near a huge strip of shopping and restaurants.

Pastas are delicious - we tried three different ones - all worthwhile including the Diavolo, truffle mushroom fettuccine and gnocchi. Great cocktails but on the sweeter side Service - excellent and friendly. Ambiance - clean and modern.

Amazing food, great service! Highly recommend!! Little whole in the wall but don't let that fool you!!

Mozzarella caprese - Fig & goat cheese ravioli

We found this restaurant while we were out walking around. It has a nice pleasant atmosphere. Service was excellent. We ordered the Mozzarella caprese and the Fig & Goat Cheese Ravioli. Both were excellent choices. The caprese was nice and fresh, and mozzarella was terrific. The fig & goat cheese in the ravioli were expertly combined, so one did not overpower the other. The sauce/gravy was excellent. Ordered the Tinto de verano, which was delicious and refreshing.

Food was good and service was excellent. We shared one of the shareable plate. Forgot the name but it was a good snack before dinner. Just did not like that the menu was only online. Sometimes the QR code does not work for folks that are traveling from overseas.

Located conveniently close to Puerta de Atocha train station, this spot provided us with a tasty meal while we were staying at the nearby Only You Hotel. The salmon and avocado salad was excellent and the burrata salad was tasty except for a couple tomatoes that seemed a bit past prime. The four cheese pizza was decent and we enjoyed a local red wine that was 16 euros for the bottle. Service was friendly and not terribly slow like some places we visited in Spain. I would come back here. The only detracting factors were that some random guy came out of nowhere and seemed to drunkenly fall on the person sitting next to us. He was promptly escorted out but kind of sketchy. Also, this place does a robust business with local bike deliveries who kept coming in and leaving the door open, which made things kind of cold on a January night. Not a bad pick though considering limited options in this area.

Went with a group of 7 and each said the food was amazing! Staff was nice and very helpful when you got their attention. Didn't have all the cocktails we wanted but still had great tinto de veranoand wine. Rigatoni al Fondo was amazing.

Great for Americans! Our waiter spoke some English and they had English menus for our Oklahoman selves. I had the shrimp linguini and the hubby had the chicken piccata. Both were delicious along with our bread basket and sangrias. Really enjoyed ourselves and it was relaxing. Adorable decor and the window was open! Outdoor seating is available.

While on a 7 hour layover in Madrid between trains we wondered around and our eye was caught by Ôven. We had had our fill of tapas and sangria for the week we spent in Spain and decided to go for something a little different. Boy are we glad we did! Let's start with the interior. It is beautifully designed and decorated. Very pleasing to the eye and very cozy and relaxing while retaining its fine dining look. The food was really good and very affordable for a restaurant in downtown Madrid. We had the Margherita Pizza, and a full bottle of Lambrusco (for only €10!)

We were craving some good Italian food and this hit the spot. The four cheese pizza was one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life. The pasta was great and the Biscotti was beyond yummy. The service was excellent, especially Amolio and Joe. Plan on coming back soon!

The pizza was undercooked and the service was sparse, but overall it was OK. Probably wouldn't come back.

Amazing burrata pizza - cold beer - good service. Easy to understand why it's always crowded, no matter the location!

We had a fun evening out at Madrid's La Coquette Blues Bar…read more Got there at around 7:30 pm - doors open at 8, and a line forms outside the relatively small place, so that timing was perfect. Settled into the very cool cavern-like subterranean space with rough stone walls, vintage blues show posters and a terrific Chicago blues soundtrack. A waiter who spoke English took drink orders, and everybody got bowls of sunflower seeds in the shell. It got crowded, but not ridiculously so, because they limit admission, letting a few new people in when others leave. They feature a rotating roster of blues bands who each do a three-night run. Check out their web site (it's their Facebook page) for who's playing. As usual when I see a music listing somewhere, I looked the group up on YouTube, to check out what they actually sound like. The combo we caught - The Maria Avilas Quartet - came on at 9 pm. It was a good-time Chicago-style blues band with guitar, standup bass, drums and a female singer, and we stayed for most of the second set as well. The crowd was really upbeat and friendly, and the beer was cold. Later in the evening, the waiter offered selected people (lucky us!) free mini-shots. Bottom line: we really enjoyed the place, and highly recommend it for a fun evening out.

Good, divey Blues Bar (live band) we found and jumped into after dinner. Got there around 11'ish…read more Had some beers, drinks, and listened to the live Blues Band which was pretty good. Good selection of beers and liquor... the bartender makes a very good Mojito (almost every table had one). Generous pours on all drinks. Decent beer selection. Seating is a little tight but it's not a big place. Looks like an old bomb shelter (cool look).
