Food tasted ok, nothing special. The service was ok , the waiter seemed too preoccupied and didn't want to be bothered. I had Campari Spritz and did not taste right.

Desayuno delicioso! Cafe con leche excellente! Un lugar muy agradable cerca del Prado.

Menu, and a view from dining area into bar.

Great local tapas place near the Prado. We needed something close to our hotel for dinner with kids, and discovered this gem. Excellent menu, lots of daily specials, fantastic ambience and solid service. Fed six of us for under 80€, and we were stuffed. Highly recommend the morcilla, the asparagus, the pork cheeks, the artichokes...just solid food all around.

This is a cute and tasty spot we stopped off at while walking to the Prado Museum. It is basically located right across the street from the museum. It wasn't too busy at the time but people continuously filtered in and out. The service was quick and the prices for what you ordered were good. Among others, we had ordered a tortilla de papas, and a chorizo from Salamanca. It was a fun first place to stop at while getting started in the city.

Duck Confit with Grilled Apple; SOOO GOOD!

They even have English menu on the posted board that friendly server can bring to you! Everything we order was so good

The pitcher of sangria hit the spot after an afternoon of exploring Real Jardín Botánico and more.

The Spanish rice with seasonal mushrooms also was as "fenomenal" as promised by our waiter. So, too, was the burrata. Make sure to ask for some accompanying bread for that.

    Tortilla Spanish style

Lovely example of an outdoor Spanish terrace. Enjoyed slow leisurely glasses of Tinto de Verano and sampled a traditional Spanish tortilla. The weather was simply perfect on this fine early fall day in Spain. Service here was attentive and what we've come to expect of Spain: polite, welcoming, warm.

Indoor seating. Well spaced and staff still wearing masks in 2022. Make a reservation if you want to sit outside.

The food, drink, service, ambiance and price can't be beat! I enjoyed their rioja wine and ensalada de burrata (sin jamón), and it was divine. ¡Salud!

Favorite tapas place in Madrid. Found this place from positive Yelp reviews and ended up coming here with my family 2 out of the 3 days we were in town. Over the two meals, we tried the choricitos (mini fried chorizos), rice with squid, ox tail, pimientos de padron (fried green peppers), fried squid, bacaloa portuguesa (Portuguese cod), mushroom rice, and duck confit. Highly recommend the choricitos, ox tail, peppers, duck confit. Ox tail and duck confit both had great flavor and were incredibly tender. For dessert, we tried tiramisu and cheesecake, both delicious. Don't recommend the cod. The rice with squid, fried squid, and mushroom rice were decent. A portion of their menu is set, while another part (tapas del dia) that they display on a standing chalkboard changes every day. We ordered ~5 racion size tapas each meal and plentiful beer, tinto de verano, coffee, and dessert, and the bill came out to about 50 euros, a great value for the quality and portion size. Would definitely come back here in the future, don't miss this if you're in Madrid!

    Paella
    Denise L.

First meal in Madrid after some wandering around. The parents shared the paella, which was not a good one. Had chicken and bits of seafood here and there. I got a croquette, which was heavy but good. I also got the smoked salmon sandwich, a thin layer of it with cheese. A large sandwich was a tiny one in American terms, but it was still tasty. Service was pretty good considering only one server.

Ox tail dish 16e. Recommend! Soft & tender.

It ended up being one of my favorite meals while I was in Madrid. We liked the menu so much we had a hard time narrowing down our choices so we got four (but three would have been a good portion size for us). The Taco Pekines was a duck taco on roti with cucumbers, radish, red onion, and hoisin sauce. This was one large taco that we cut in half. This was our favorite of the night! Our second favorite was the pork gyoza. It had a flavorful dipping sauce and excellent portion size. The other two were good as well. Vegetarian spring rolls and the chicken wings. Everyone must have been hung over from the night before. Or still sleeping. The die hard NYE revelers stay out until about 7 AM in this country. Not me. I can't hang. Overall, the cocktail menu has about 20 of the usual suspects: martini, strawberry daiquiri, mai tai, manhattan, sidecar, etc. No prices in the menu but expect to pay about 7,25 each. In other words, about half the price you'd pay at a cocktail bar in New York, so a major bargain for me. The sidecar was delicious, as was the whiskey sour. While not explicitly clear in the menu, this place will either create cocktails for you or let you create your own. Just ask. Desperately wanting paella across the street at La Barraca, the unoccupied waiter took the time to run across the street to check on availability, then again to make a reservation. Excellent customer service, though he was taken aback at my gesture of a small tip for his efforts, which he reluctantly accepted. Bottom line is there really aren't that many bars in Madrid dedicated specifically to cocktails, despite the size of the city. Consider this place a rarity. Other: Very classy decor. Cool music. Chill vibes. Free wifi zone. No food.
