This restaurant has a great location, interesting concept (African-focused world cuisine), and good views. The dishes are ok to good, but unfortunately service is painfully slow and it is overpriced (particularly for Madrid). It would be a 4 star option for drinks, but really isn't worth it for dinner. I had a rum based cocktail (essentially a mojito), Jollof rice with prawn (too salty, not spicy. and not really prawn or tomato forward; more like a weird Latin fusion take on the dish?). and chicken from the braai (decent, although hard to mess up grilled chicken). Came out to 85 Euros, which is almost 2x what would be reasonable in this city generally, and 3-4x a place for better food and service with less location and ambiance. read more

*This review is only over the drinks and bar area.* We went in at 10ish on a Monday night. We just wanted drinks and a small plate, but they said they were only doing a full dinner menu. We had eaten not too long ago so we decided just to do drinks. Some of the other reviews make this place seem more chill than it is. This is definitely a nicccceeee restaurant. What we ordered: they have an excellent selection of alcohol. We both got mojitos. The bartender did a great job at finely crafting every drink he made. We were brought a small dish of yummy olives w out drinks. The mojitoes were great, not the best I've ever had, but good. Would I come back again? If I was down to chill in a nice bar and have a 11€ mojito, yes. read more

Wow! I would not call this cuisine Spanish, it's more African. I can't express how awesome it is! It looks expensive on the surface but you get so much more than what you pay for!! I ordered a simple 13 euro veggie dish and I was delivered a bowl of olives as soon as I sat down, then a lovely roll with delicious spices and pepitas, then after I ordered they brought a large serving of hummus! After I finished my veggies they asked if I wanted desert, I declined. Just a few minutes later they brought me a large assortment of chocolate candies! 13 euros might be a lot for a (totally delicious) plate of carrots and broccoli but I'm so full from this giant meal I may just come back tomorrow! Outstanding. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. You get a starter and main for 35 euro. We had a large party and tried many things: artichokes, tomatoes, ropa viejo sliders, bacalao, scallops, raw tuna, steak, hak... all fantastic. Our meal here was simply transcendant! We reserved early (for Spain) - 9:30 - so not too crowded when we arrived and were immediately and graciously shown to our table. No need to look at the menu, as the chef (?) came to us and helped us with the choices. All the starters were wonderful: artichokes, mushroom pasta dumplings, carpaccio and beautiful large tomato slices. For dinner, tuna tataki and the tuna dados are superb; one in our party got a steak and said that was good, but tuna is the specialty. The apple galette gets rave reviews, and it was excellent, but yes this is a ton of food, so if in doubt get the appetizers and skip dessert. The staff and ambience were superlative. read more

This was a wonderful place to spend our last dinner in Madrid before leaving for home. Loved the mushroom cannelloni appetizer and the hake for the entree. We also had the spicy tuna, which was delicious! For dessert we had the tiramisu and the cremoso. I cannot describe for you how incredible the cremoso was...wow!!! Enjoy! read more

Good food, expensive for Madrid (but it's in a fancy neighborhood). Had scallops with risotto and and egg and ham appetizer on a bed of French fries! But it was surprisingly really good. It's a white tablecloth place so you might need reservations in the busy season. read more

Service was amazing! Food was perfect! Expensive, but worth it! I wish I had discovered this place earlier in my stay in Madrid! I had the Caramelized Tuna it was incredible! The bread: a piece of brown bread and white bread, so fresh! I usually don't eat all the bread just because it is on the table, but this bread is perfect with a little olive oil! The olives and chips with my wine while I waited were perfect! And the chorizo tapa was amazing!! I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my time here! read more
