Litterally the worst bar ever. Very bad energy and drama filled. Rude bartenders. Slow service. Never ever ever again

We also ordered the Kalua pork and the Katsu chicken. Everything tasted like were used to in Hawaii. Almost weird to find a Hawaiian restaurant in this quaint little city in central Ohio. Our waitress Ashley did a great job. There's free street parking and a nice Main Street to walk up and down on. Recommend and will return to.

Let's start positive, some of the food tasted good. Portions were small but it tasted decent. The…read moreloko moko was presented nicely and had a good flavor. The "Hawaiian" macaroni salad didn't taste anything like it should but wasn't bad tasting. The whole place gave off a "white guy spends two weeks a year staying in a resort in Hawaii and tried to bring it to Delaware vibe. Stop describing things as Hawaiian that just aren't. The 21 dollar "Hawaiian" combo appetizer was supposed to be "Hawaiian" battered mushrooms but were breaded mushrooms out of a Sysco bag and tasted awful. The "Hawaiian" French fries were just Sysco battered fries with no seasoning. They advertised it came with six wings, it came with six boneless nuggets. The menu doesn't mention they're boneless at all. The service was fantastic though, shame they can't afford a staff and have the General Manager doing everything but cooking. I don't see this place surviving. Anyone know who owns this place? Doesn't feel like they are experienced in the restaurant industry.

Have to say this has become one of our favorites for casual dining with amazing food. Drove to…read moredowntown Delaware and found easy parking on the street (there are also nearby lots). Backstretch is super casual (given Ohio Wesleyan is nearby - its almost a college/town bar) but great to come in a sit at the bar or one of their booths. It isnt big, maybe 15-20 bar stools and 12 booths and 1-2 tables. This time we picked a booth and a great server (Jacobi) helped us right away. Fun part of backstretch is the staff. Servers are friendly, you can watch the cooks prepare your food, and they have a full bar. Note they dont have many draft beer options, but servers tried hard to get us something we liked. Food here is fresh off the grill and tastes like home cooked food - from their Reuben(which was amazing) to Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (has kick but so good) - you cant go wrong. This time we added Tots, Mac and Cheese, and the Deviled eggs (most sandwiches are served with a deviled egg - tasty). We also tried Jacobi recommendation of Hencock Tots - wing sauce - cheese and bacon. Should have just made that my meal. Amazing. They dont take reservations but unless there is an event in downtown, you can usually walk in for dinner. This was our third visit in 60 days! Ready to go back - thanks Jacobi for a fun night and see you all soon.

And the building and restaurant has a cool history as being one of the oldest in the state. My server Ian was cool as was the rest of the staff I encounter. It s nice to see younger people with goals who take pride in where they work. He recommended the grilled sirloin which was good: A simple nice grilled steak with great char marks and seasoning. The potato was okay, and I couldn't tell if it was from a box or they peeled them, but they were tasty and a nice large portion. It just needed butter which they brought me. The Caesar salad was very good, and I am picky about both salads and dressings... I could have even eaten more of that! I am glad they are preserving it and its legacy. I am also glad they are open on Monday when many of their competitors in Delaware are NOT! When I first thought of Bunns, I thought of old people, and this clearly contemporary with an updated menu! They even have Jell-O! I wiIll definitely return and recommend it to anyone who asks me for a good place to eat... Much appreciated.

The table was absolutely disgusting- see pic! We asked for sanitizer and he said he would bring it back and never bought it back. We have an immunocompromised child and cannot risk her eating off a dirty table. I had to go to bathroom to get a paper towel and soap and wash my own table off. Why??? The town of Delaware is bustling but no one is in here! Obviously there is a reason! I saw a few employees in the banquet area eating pizza. Where is everyone?? Oh they are in the back! An employee in the hallway seemed dumbfounded when I asked her for sanitizer. She finally bought it to my table. The place is dead. The place is unkept. Bathroom stalls with no trash can liners. The list could go on and on. Health department needs to pay a visit and have a come to Jesus talk with this joke of an establishment. Definitely need to have an employee meeting to discuss hygiene and etiquette so customers can have an enjoyable meal without having an asthma attack triggered by an employee. Never again!
