We were curious, so we stopped in this neighborhood pub around the corner from where we dined, Puerto Vallarta. We found two seats at the bar and were immediately greeted by one of the bartenders. We selected drafts from the list on the wall. I had Stella, and they were out of boyfriend's first choice, so he selected another. By the time we left an hour or so later, they had removed 5 of the drafts they ran out of. It was busy (Friday night) and there were people out on the patio. It was obvious they have a lot of regulars. I don't believe they serve food at all. We may come back as the happy hour prices are good. read more

Been going there off and on for 20 Years, depending on where I live in the world. Watched this dude pick a fight with a customer last summer and beat him up. They let him back in the bar right after He beat a patron up in the parking lot and then he started with me. I ignored him. Figured he was connected with the owners if he can get away with those shenanigans. Now, this guy has tried to bully me every time I go in there because I'm in "his clubhouse" and according to his wife all "their" whole family hangs out there so they have free reign and I need to beware and he is STIlLL allowed in. Absolutely ridiculous. I still dont know what the connection is. I have de-escalated every time I am In there but the last time was enough and I finally said something. If the establishment isn't going make sure it is safe for everybody then I won't be back. I have better things to do and better places to spend my money. Him and his wife "Nancy" can have the place. Hell of a time for a great dive bar with good people and music at actual dive prices.. very hard to find good pubs like this in Columbus area anymore. Eat before you can get chips but they are more in business of spirits ( including good selection of craft beers) and fun. Regular hard working crew which in Cbus is a Refreshing change of pace. read more

I grew up in this bar and have ALWAYS loved it.... but as a single mother the last 10 years I don't get to go out as much anymore. Last Saturday (03/12/22) I met with some old friends at this bar and after about an hour of all of us chillin and having a nice time an old neighbor came to the bar. Turns out she did not have her ID so the bartender asked her to leave and I explained the bartender was just doing her job and I'd call her later. She left the patio into the bar to leave and the bartender followed her.... what happened in that bar is beyond me but the next thing I know the blonde short bartender walks out back and grabs my drink and three other peoples and slams them into the trash spilling alcohol all over my iPhone like a physcho. Another gentleman working the bar that night was behind her and looked JUST as shocked as we did!!! When I asked her what her problem was the problem was and why she was asking US to leave--- she said "Your friend just tried fighting me that's why!!". I tried telling her that none of us had ANYTHING to do with that-- and that we didn't even come with that girl and she kept on screaming like a psychopath.... so like the adults that WE are, we left. It was beyond embarrassing and uncalled for!! About $20 in alcohol wasted, and my iPhone covered in alcohol when whatever happened in that bar was absolutely NO fault of my own-- nor the other three people out on the patio that night. She needs FIRED because she was seriously the most belligerent person there that night from what I witnessed that entire night. They even had people out front fighting when I arrived and let half of them back in.... but because we happened to know someone that pissed HER off personally she was able to throw our money away AND break my phone. This issue seriously needs addressed before she crosses someone way less patient that we were that is actually intoxicated. Brewster's lost a longtime customer because of it because I will not return to that bar as long as that physcho is working there. SOOO Thanks BLONDIE!!!! I will be calling your manager as well-- because what you did is at the minimum considered assault... Don't work in customer service-- let alone a BAR-- if you have anger issues and cannot handle working with people whom have been drinking. After having terrible service at this bar before. Staff having no knowledge of the beers they have or willing to give me a list of bottle beers I came back in after a year. Not only had nothing changed but the Manager on duty had attitude. I didn't catch his name but I will never be back. All they do is get drunk behind the bar and cater to their friends. read more

Simply put... I had heard OF this place before, but hadn't heard anything ABOUT it. However, Jessica H. and I figured out where it was by accident. We took a wrong turn this morning after dropping off her car for service in New Albany... and she figured "what the heck" this evening, after we picked up the car. So... well, there's the backstory. Anyway, this is a nice little place... didn't see any fights chronicled in previous reviews... I doubt those happen during happy hour anyway. It's a late happy-hour crowd. It's very laid-back... a bit more country playing on the jukebox than I'd like. The decor... well, the "Bud... weis... er..." frogs still adorn one wall, so I have a feeling distributors don't target this place much to give away swag and branded mirrors. Which is fine, because I don't think they're targeting barely legal drinkers here, anyway. However, I have a feeling being here for a football game on TV would be promising. Helmets for each Big Ten school (well, except Nebraska) adorn the shelves behind the bar. So, perhaps a second visit in September...? Overall, the happy hour's pretty good... $1.50 domestic bottles, $2 domestic drafts. Got a $7 pitcher of Amber Bock... good for two pints apiece... not bad. The staff is friendly, too. read more

This place is so lit pretty any night of the week. Always packed with the wild residents of Westerville and serving cheap and strong drinks. THE DJ IS SO GOOD. I didn't know that many bangers existed in this world but dang the Brewstirs DJ always keeps the party going. Go on any Friday and find the Tent City Mayor kicking a few back with his fans. Was harassed while playing foosball by myself by bartender named Bulli (sp?) for not donning a mask, even though literally five yards away dozens of people were sitting at tables, the bar and even playing darts not distancing and not masked. Bartender mask Nazi cursed me and demanded that I wear my mask "Just like I am!!" all while within a foot of me. I was subsequently banned for not adhering to this dive's insanely illogical and hysterical covid overreach. If you are SITTING you are exempt from masking. If you are a few feet away and playing the Golfing game you are not. I actually thought this bartender was going to put his hands on me he was so enraged. 2 pool tables, a foosball table, plenty of bar space, 6 tables and some more standing bar space, these guys made a small hole-in-the-wall into something much more. craft brews out the wazoo, and all the classics at your fingertips. the bartenders are out-of-this-world friendly and on-top of their game. what a nice little bar!! read more

Amazing place if you just want a low-key type of night. They have a DJ that plays on the weekends, and a little dance floor if you decide you're feeling a little saucy. Great place, 10 out of 10 would recommend. read more

This place is your typical bar, with a dance floor that's the size of a bathroom and a "dj" who is 18 and only plays dance music from the early 90's with some bad Boston thrown in the mix. If there is a worse bar in westerville, I haven't found it. Larry B's is close. This place is a dump. Reeks of cigarette smoke. Dirty tables and floors. Very poor service. Nobody cares. Always a good time and nice pool tables with an incredible happy hour that is seven days a week. Best dive bar in the area and darts are free. They have a lot of great specials each day like free pool or juke box or discounted pitcher and shot prices. read more

I came in on Sunday night about 11pm after some late night grocery shopping. I ordered one beer draft and asked my card to be closed. Almost 10 minutes went by and waitress did not bring my card with receipt back Ive never seen her before, long blonde hair and horrible customer service. I had to get her attention and ask "ma'am...i asked for my card to be closed" she came back with "there's a $5 minimum" Seriously, why didnt you tell me this 10 minutes ago? I have no respect for a person who does not honor your request let alone come back like she a had already let you know the deal. Was she purposely trying to get me more drinks and did this internationally? Sure seems like it. I literally just wanted one drink as i do not drink at home. It's a shame because i come in here alot and when a place hires new help and dont educate them to not only listen but respond in a timely manner, your poor service will be remembered. This place has much better bar tenders but your new girl Megan is seriously lacking customer service. Yall went down from a 4 to a one. I just wanted one beer and would have gladly paid the difference just for convenience. Not a way to run a business and definitely not how i would train my bar maids to handle a customer request. That last reviewer needs to base her opinion on ore than 1 visit. The 2 best times to visit BrewStirs, for me, are (1) Wednesday nights after 9:30, When the karaoke rocks, and (2) Anytime there's a major OSU Buckeyes game on. They usually have a free buffet and special prices on drinks. Can't beat it! Basketball fans also come to watch games, and they have a great Super Bowl party. Sometimes there is also a DJ or live band as well. So there are many times that BrewStirs truly is a "Fun Pub." That gal must've hit it on an off-night. Don't rely on the word of a 1-time visitor who doesn't really know the place. Check it out for yourself! read more
