My husband and I enjoyed this place so much we went back twice in the same week! Great pizza and friendly owners. Word of advice, this pizza is amazing right out of the oven but not the best later if re heated the next day. When eaten fresh it has the best taste and texture! I'm not usually a crust eater (with the exception of stuffed crust) but this crust is seriously to die for! Try it out for yourself! The entire family loves this place. Food is awesome and the live music is a nice touch. Carmela makes you feel right at home and Cosimo can cook up a storm. They were accommodating by offering free beers (albeit a poor selection of them) I ordered a calzone to go and they said "WE ARE OUT OF DOUGH." What the FUCK?!?! If I could rate this place 10 stars, I would! From the moment we walked in, I felt back in NY! Watching the (assumed) owner spin the dough, hearing other customers interact with them, and their NY accents- it started off a good experience before I even tasted the food. I came with a party of 5- we ordered pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, lemon pepper wings and garlic Parmesan wings. Everything was delicious. The wings were perfect for us and not the watery, overly wet mess. They were fried to perfection and crispy- seriously delicious!! The pizzas were both mouth watering! The cheese had an especially tasty flare. Their sauce is light & herby. The crust is thin and perfect! The staff were so kind and helpful. I chatted with the wife behind the bar and she's so sweet. They interact with the customers and it's obvious they're a favorite among Simpsonville! I'm happy to have found good NY style pizza here in the south. I highly recommend visiting. Went here on the recommendation of a friend but honestly I cannot understand why anyone would return here after reading some of these reviews and my own experience. I placed an order fir 2 large pizzas and one order of fried mushrooms. Before I could finish paying the cook was yelling at my waitress "It'll be 45 minutes". And I don't mean a nice, so you can hear me yell. A angry made me scared that I had ordered so much pizza yell. I then sat for over an hour too scared to ask about my food. While I was waiting, I witnessed some of the rudest customer service I have ever seen by both the cook and oldest waitress who literally told someone on the phone "fine....go somewhere else. You ain't hurtin us none". Finally, the poor young girl who fielded much abuse from the older two adults waved me over and handed me two pizzas and a container that had been ready and sitting on top of the pizza oven for quite some time. I said "we're my pizzas just sitting there? I've been waiting over an hour" She said "sorry" and handed me the boxes. So not only was the experience terrible but my food was cold and not so tasty. Only a couple key problems: 1. the hostess at the counter didn't know how long the pizzas, for pizza by the slice, had been sitting out. 2. $5 min got credit card. Didn't even offer 2 for $5 on the slice. If you want to taste and experience pizza by the slice, you better bring cash. read more

We ordered 2 pizzas ( a white and a regular cheese) and an order of garlic knots. The garlic knots and cheese pizza were good. The white pizza with ricotta and broccoli was a joke. There was barely any ricotta, the broccoli was cold, and the bottom crust of the pizza tasted burnt. Closing time here is also a joke. They close at 9pm but I can attest that at 810pm the chairs were upside down. We also witnessed the owner turn away customers from 820pm. Overall, very disappointed with our experience here. As a New Yorker, this is the closest to home as I can get with pizza. The slices were huge, the crust was perfect and it tasted like a pizza should. We also ordered the antipasto salad and it was also made to a flavorful perfection. I believe my family has found its pizza place. The pizza is great but the baked ziti...heaven in a bowl. The Gnocci is made in house and is also wonderful. We finished off with the key lime pie, which is highly recommended. Service is excellent and the staff is all very friendly and helpful. We also went when an event was going on in town, so they were very busy, but they were still attentive. A Slice of Brooklyn is the best pizza place in this area. Cosimo and his wife Carmela are wonderful hosts. Being from Brooklyn, NY myself, I have a good understanding what NY pizza should taste like. A S O B uses the best mozzarella, wonderful homemade sauce, and outstanding "extras"(pepperoni, olives, mushrooms etc.) Cosimo makes a great dough for his very thin crust, a must for authentic NY style pies. Pizza is only one part of this Simpsonville eatery. His menu is varied and diverse as his garlic knots, calamari, salads and everything else are done to perfection. Recently expanding, ASOB now has a bar with different wines and "Tap" beers. They've got live music a couple of nights a week and "Happy Hour" from 3-6 during the week. Tried this place for the first time and was not impressed. Maybe they are super busy with everyone ordering during quarantine, but the food was pretty blah. Ordered a cheese pizza and the crust was really tough and hard to chew. The pizza itself had more sauce than cheese. Not great. Hubby had calzone that was all right, just nothing special. The greek salad was fresh with good toppings, and the cannoli was yummy, so at least the meal ended on a high note. read more

Time to give these people the review they deserve.. in my opinion there's only two places I've found worth ordering pizza from and this is one of them... I like my pizza a little more cooked so I just ask for it well done. The important thing is.. the pizza, the antipasto salad... what I've had so far, is made well with first class ingredients... everyone has a different taste in sauce. Are there for the first time, have heard nothing but good things about the owners, staff and the food. We spilt a Stromboli and tossed salad. Without doubt the best Stromboli we have ever eaten..... period... Nice crisp thin crust and lots of Italian sausage, pepperoni and peppers. Salad was huge with fresh romaine.
