Really enjoyed the pizza we got here and the guy at the front was super chill. You know exactly what you are getting with this place and it reminded me of when I lived in Jersey. Food was a mixed bag. Fried mozzarella and mushrooms seemed like you typical frozen food isle apps. Also be aware and it's hidden on the menu that no sauce is included with the apps. They just bring them and charge you and extra fifty cents. Pretty slimy practice never really seen that. Not great. Loved the garlic bread. Super strong garlic flavor so make sure you like garlic because it's thick with it. Luckily I do and it was very tasty. Pizza was very good with a mostly crunchy crust. Weird thing was I asked for a half meat and half pepperoni pizza and was told they were too busy. I've never heard that before. Apparently that extra 30 seconds to add three toppings to half a pizza is impossible. Won't be back. Guess I'll just stick with Sidewall pizza across the street. read more

Went here for pizza and while it was good the customer service was horrible. They are in a rush and can't seem to make anything you ask for on the menu other than pizza. Very rude manager and staff. Don't bother coming late in the evening because the entire staff is just ready to go out the door rather than serve their paying customers. Finding hair in my calzone was the Cherry on top to never eat here again. Wouldn't recommend to anyone unless you picking it up to go. read more

Highly overrated! I went on the whim of the last review about her husband being from NY, however, I should've stuck with my gut. I called last week to ask about if they sold slices. Over the phone the lady said during lunch yes, so I asked her what time frame that was. She told be it started at noon and then basically until the sell out. So I then asked if they had anymore slices available and she said no it's only during lunch time in a snarky way. In my head, I said lady I asked you for a time frame and you gave me a start time, so my second question is valid. Out loud I just said thank you and hung up. I had already read the reviews about the service but you know people can have off days. So today I go in to try this place out and I ordered an pepperoni slice with extra cheese. She repeated a slice with extra cheese and as he grabbed my plain slice I said no pepperoni with extra please. He calls himself throwing 4 slices of pepperoni on a cheese slice and then extra cheese on the top half my slice. I'll post a pic of my slice but even the taste was average. Trust me for the same price, better service and better taste, go downtown to Vic's pizzeria. They sell by the slice all day long! Also while I was waiting on my food, a woman who had ordered at least 4 slices before me ordered ranch as well. She only received 1 and went to ask for the other one and the lady told her she only charged her for one. 4 slices of pizza and you can't give me a small ass cup of ranch. I always look for cleanliness being a former health department employee when I was younger and the place was clean upfront and back. ***update*** my dad went back in to get his tip back. When he was in there, they were trying to hawk our pizza to someone else waiting in line. We came down here on the recommendation of a fellow New Yorker. I don't care how good the pizza is. I wouldn't even know, because I've been sitting here for over 45 minutes and have yet to see my pizza. I've now asked for it three times, and after being told "it's coming" on the first two inquiries, I was told "he [the cook] forgot it." But don't worry everyone, "the cook" remembered EVERYONE ELSE'S PIZZA, including every single person who came in after us! The server told me she's not in charge of the cook. I can't even believe this place. We just lost an hour of our lives and they gave my dad back his money for the pizza - not the two beers we had nor the TIP WE LEFT FOR THE SERVICE WE NEVER RECEIVED. It's hard to find good Pizza in the south. Well by my definition as a yankee from up north! We had been looking for a good pizza place and happened to stop in for lunch. Awesome decision! The pizza is spot on - great sauce with a wonderful crust! All the ingredients are as fresh as it gets and it makes a huge difference. I have a real adoration for the garlic knots. If you've ever seen how the owner treats his employees and customers you would steer clear. I have no tolerance for being treated that poorly. Do not expect your food to come out at the same time your party's food arrived. The owner/cook does not manage his kitchen well and the food is always spaced out 30 minutes apart and your drinks will be empty. I have given them multiple chances and they disappoint every time. Tried this place twice and won't return. Service was poor as they could not get the order right. The pizza is ok but there are better places. The chicken parmesan has to be the worse I have ever had. Barely any sauce on it and the cheese did not seem like mozzarella. Even the bread was horrible. Chicken parm is not hard to make so I don't know how they made it bad. Salad with chicken is a few strips of dried overcooked chicken strips. They don't seem to care if you are comfortable. They dump the all the food on the table and you need to try to eat crunch up. Warning to not go on trivia night. The guy yells and plays the music too loud. You can't have a conversation. The place is small and he should adjust accordingly. read more

All around bad experience. We arrived at the restaurant a little before 6:00 PM. The hostess told us it would be about a 30 minute wait and gave us a pager. Over 45 minutes later, we saw a group walk right in. Some of their party walked into the kitchen and talked to a kitchen member as if they were close friends or family. They sat them in front of us. Almost an hour later, they finally sat us. We sat there for another ten minutes or so, and finally flagged the waitress down and asked if we could go ahead and order. She told us she would come back to take our order. At 7:00, I finally had enough and decided to leave. I felt like they were annoyed that we were there. There was nothing good on the menu and everything was way overpriced for mediocre pizza at best. There are way better places to get a pizza in Simpsonville that actually want your business and are more affordable. This unfortunately was not a good experience for us and we will never be back. I loved Slice of Brooklyn for awhile now which makes this so sad to post. I called to complain about the first order I have received from there that was bad and I just got a slap to the face in response. I know everyone must have bad days but anyone who runs their own business knows that the customer is always right. As cheesy as that saying is, I can't believe the owner questioned me so much about one bad pizza. I wasn't even looking for any compensation (which would have been nice since I spent so much money there). I just wanted them to know how terrible the pizza I received was. My husband's sandwich came out in 10 minutes while my daughter and I waited for 1 1/2 hours got a pizza that had more "liquid" on it than cheese. The owner said it was the onions and peppers that made the water? The worst part was how rude she was to us. Picked up two pies at Slice of Brooklyn for my parents and the large pie was half pepperoni and cheese rather than the cheese I ordered. Unfortunately the owner says mistakes happen as he has to remake my pie while my other pie gets cold. No apology, just mistakes happen. Then proceeds to take three other cheese pizzas out of the oven to fill orders while I wait for his mistake. The cool part was watching him yell at his young employees and basically act like some big, fat Brooklyn tough guy. Obviously not a bright guy and extremely rude. Would have been fine if his pizza was good. Here's some advice. Go to Tito's in Greenville instead. Much better pizza and not a rude owner. read more

If you are looking for pizza that tastes authentic from NY, this is it. Ordered a Caesar salad and dressing was homemade with anchovies as it should, pepperoni pizza was fantastic, sauce was just right, pizza crust right thickness and crunch. Ordered a cannoli and it was as good as Mike's from the North End in Boston. Happy hour was till 7 with half price house wine and other drink specials. I will return! read more

My wife and I thought we would try out this place based on raving reviews. It was a crowded Saturday night and the staff was low...the three items we ordered from the menu were not available.. they only had pizza, so we ordered that knowing other customers went gaga over it. The three items we tried to order were garlic knots wings and a Caesar salad. While we are waiting on the pizza the table to the left gets a salad the table behind us gets wings and as we are ready to leave the table next to us gets delivered garlic knots. We did eventually get the pizza (although they left off an ingredient. ) There must've been a camera in there and we were part of a reality TV show.. Not going back. read more
