If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. Not only is the customer service phenomenal, but the cheesecake is out of this world good. I mean, every time I think I have a favorite flavor, I try something new and it replaces my number one. Right now I can't choose between the strawberry crunch and the peach cobbler cheesecake. The moment I bite into the strawberry crunch, nostalgic memories flash through my brain like rocket ships. I'm immediately taken back to high school days, munching on those strawberry crunch ice cream bars. Y'all really got these flavors so close to the inspirational treats that I can barely tell the difference. Now for the peach cobbler cheesecake... you know what? I have no words. That's how good it is. I'm a writer/published author and I'm simply speechless. All that to say... get the cheesecake!! You won't be disappointed. read more

If you love cheesecake or even if you don't, you will love Mak & Cheesecake. So many options to choose from and everything looks so so delicious it's hard to choose. That's what happened with me so I decided on the cheesecake flight which included three mini cheesecakes. Strawberry, banana pudding and Oreo cheesecake. Service was great! It was my first time there and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. The bakery is small and cute. read more

People will stand in line to their order of what they have or like. No complaints. No disrespect. Everyone kindly waiting to get their mouths on this creamy smooth cheesecake you wish your momma could duplicate for the holiday dinners for everyone to eat and have seconds and thirds of!!! There is a couple of tables to sit at and dine in. Oh wow, my husband can't stop talking about his experience. Check them out whenever you are in Simpsonville, SC on Main St. read more

The cheesecake was just okay, I wish they put more effort into the flavor of the cheesecake. The customer service was underwhelming.

Very small little shop. I was really excited to try this. There was a woman checking out when I got there. However I wasn't greeted. I had never been in and I just stared at the minute and then the cakes as I try to see what I wanted to try. Never once was I talked to or asked if I needed anything. I finally selected 2 cakes. I paid and then I was told thank you and I left. The Dubai cheesecake was okay I wouldn't get it again. The flavor of the topping was pretty good. The strawberry cheesecake was okay. For me they weren't out of this world. There was a very little flavor. I'm glad I tried it. I wish it would have been a better experience all around. read more

I'm sure we are late to the game...but today the Husband surprised me and brought me a slice of cheesecake home from Mak & Cheesecake located in Simpsonville SC...and to my surprise it was #GlutenFree (Yaaaayyyy)!! My slice had a chocolate topping and his had strawberry (see the pictures below). They were deliciously decadent!! I'm not big on dessert so my one slice will probably last me a few days but this cheesecake was yummy!!! When I first tasted it I thought it was very sweet...(but again I don't eat a whole lot of sweets). I put it down for about an hour and came back to it...it wasn't extra sweet...my tastebuds just needed to adjust. I will definitely come back again! And if you are in or near the Simpsonville area and haven't tasted and seen...make sure you stop by @makandcheesecake located at 510 SE Main Street, Simpsonville, SC!! read more

A visit to Mak and Cheesecakes in Simpsonville, with my niece after having lunch elsewhere. It's a nice little store with some delicious cheesecakes with a lot of options to top your slice of cheesecake. They have different slices ready, but you can build your own. I got two slices of cheesecake a salted caramel and strawberry topped cheesecake. The salted caramel was so good, but it is rich. The cheesecake was smooth, airy and light. This was my first time visiting, but it will not be my last time. read more

Well now I am ruined on Cheesecake Factory forever, because their cakes don't hold a candle to Maks. The Oreo cheesecake had quite possibly the best crust to ever exist. Rich, gooey ganache mixed in Oreo cookies. Heavenly. Definitely a must try. read more

Where do I start, this cheesecake had me after the first bite! It was so good, I kept eating it like I was addicted. I live in downtown Greenville, this place is 25-30 minutes from my house and I will drive the distance just for this cheesecake. The service was quick and easy if you go not on Saturday! There are a few places to sit but mostly people grab and go it's a small storefront place. I think because they don't want anyone to see just how much they are about to go in on the cheesecake! Yes, it's that good! read more

The shop is small and has a couple tables inside and outside. More of a grab and go. There was a short line, but service was relatively quick. The cheesecake isn't bad, but $10/slice is pretty pricey for what you're getting. It seemed like plain frozen cheesecake with toppings just thrown on top. read more

My fiancé and I ordered the salted turtle cheesecake and it did not disappoint! I do not like overly sweet desserts, so I am super picky about cheesecake because some can tend to be very rich and sweet but this one was PERFECT! The texture, the flavor, and the sweetness was ! I am not a big cheesecake fan but we were having a small dinner party and wanted to get something a little special. This place had just opened two weeks prior so we were excited to try it. The wait time to actually get the cheesecakes was a little off putting. Stood in line for close to 20 minutes in a very small, confined shop. I think there was just one person doing everything. She had to wrap everything, go to the back to get the cheesecakes, etc. I will say it is probably he best cheesecake I have ever had. I don't like super sweet foods and this was not overly sweet. Everything had great flavor, great crust, fresh tasty toppings. The price point will keep me from trying this on a regular basis, but for a special occasion, it can work. read more

Hands down the best cheesecake I've ever had. The banana pudding is my favorite. I tried the carrot cake cheesecake yesterday and it was really good. The slices seem pricey (about 12ish dollars each), but they are huge and loaded with toppings. The carrot cake cheesecake has a slice of cake on top, so they are worth it in my opinion. Each time I've been in the employees have always greeted me and been very friendly. The inside is also very clean, but somewhat small, so I've always ordered mine to go. read more

We visited the store in Greenville while we were visiting this past weekend. Those working in the store took time to explain their menu and help in anyway. We got the regular flight which was strawberry cheesecake, banana pudding cheesecake and turtle. It was so good! The cheesecake was creamy and the flavors so yummy. My husband and I shared. His words " the door should have a sign cautioning that this is addictive" I hope to get back to Greenville for this cheesecake! read more

I'm a Foodie, & trust I know great food traveling all over trying & giving honest reviews ( most are on Google, I don't use Yelp as much) I'm from NYC, Bronx & know what Cheesecake is all about. Well, Mak Got it Ya'll so hop aboard & find your favorite decadent treat! On my 1st visit, I chose the "Change your Life", (Kurt's words) banana cheesecake. Wow! The Banana Pudding Cheesecake at this place is truly a masterpiece. From the bottom to the top, every layer adds a burst of flavor and texture that will make your taste buds dance. The fresh, soft crust at the bottom is like biting into a warm, buttery cookie. Next comes the layer of homemade pudding, which elevates this dessert to the Royal level. And the addition of homemade waffers, caramel glaze, and fluffy cream cheese with added banana slices makes it even more irresistible. Each bite is a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess, and the portion size is generous for the price. (approx 5") While it may take some time to get there, we assure you, it is well worth the wait. Just make sure to plan your visit accordingly, as they are closed on Mondays and have limited hours on certain days. Tuesday-Sat Open at 12PM & closes at 7PM & 8PM on weekends. read more
