Very small little shop. I was really excited to try this. There was a woman checking out when I got there. However I wasn't greeted. I had never been in and I just stared at the minute and then the cakes as I try to see what I wanted to try. Never once was I talked to or asked if I needed anything. I finally selected 2 cakes. I paid and then I was told thank you and I left. The Dubai cheesecake was okay I wouldn't get it again. The flavor of the topping was pretty good. The strawberry cheesecake was okay. For me they weren't out of this world. There was a very little flavor. I'm glad I tried it. I wish it would have been a better experience all around.

A must visit dessert location when in Greenville, SC! They have to best homemade cheesecake in town! The service is great, everyone is super friendly, even when they are very busy! The restaurant is small and there's no indoor seating but the ambiance is nice! My favorites so far: Banana Budding Cheesecake 10/10 Strawberry Cheesecake 10/10 I am always looking forward to my next visit!

I'm sure we are late to the game...but today the Husband surprised me and brought me a slice of cheesecake home from Mak & Cheesecake located in Simpsonville SC...and to my surprise it was #GlutenFree (Yaaaayyyy)!! My slice had a chocolate topping and his had strawberry (see the pictures below). They were deliciously decadent!! I'm not big on dessert so my one slice will probably last me a few days but this cheesecake was yummy!!! When I first tasted it I thought it was very sweet...(but again I don't eat a whole lot of sweets). I put it down for about an hour and came back to it...it wasn't extra sweet...my tastebuds just needed to adjust. I will definitely come back again! And if you are in or near the Simpsonville area and haven't tasted and seen...make sure you stop by @makandcheesecake located at 510 SE Main Street, Simpsonville, SC!!

We stopped in for the first time to try these cheesecakes that everyone is talking about. Oh my goodness, so delicious! I got the strawberry and my husband got the banana.

Loveee this spot. The churro cheese cake is my favorite. If it's ever on the menu definitely give it a try. The service quick and the place is very clean. Highly recommend!

A visit to Mak and Cheesecakes in Simpsonville, with my niece after having lunch elsewhere. It's a nice little store with some delicious cheesecakes with a lot of options to top your slice of cheesecake. They have different slices ready, but you can build your own. I got two slices of cheesecake a salted caramel and strawberry topped cheesecake. The salted caramel was so good, but it is rich. The cheesecake was smooth, airy and light. This was my first time visiting, but it will not be my last time.

Where do I start, this cheesecake had me after the first bite! It was so good, I kept eating it like I was addicted. I live in downtown Greenville, this place is 25-30 minutes from my house and I will drive the distance just for this cheesecake. The service was quick and easy if you go not on Saturday! There are a few places to sit but mostly people grab and go it's a small storefront place. I think because they don't want anyone to see just how much they are about to go in on the cheesecake! Yes, it's that good!

The shop is small and has a couple tables inside and outside. More of a grab and go. There was a short line, but service was relatively quick. The cheesecake isn't bad, but $10/slice is pretty pricey for what you're getting. It seemed like plain frozen cheesecake with toppings just thrown on top.

We first discovered the cheesecake at a local winery, and were hooked every since. Glad to see that have a storefront. They make some of the best cheesecake I ever tasted. Their hasn't been one that I didn't like. A must stop if you like cheesecake.

My fiancé and I ordered the salted turtle cheesecake and it did not disappoint! I do not like overly sweet desserts, so I am super picky about cheesecake because some can tend to be very rich and sweet but this one was PERFECT! The texture, the flavor, and the sweetness was ! The service was quick even though the line was out the door when we went, we got in and out rather quickly. Inviting atmosphere. I can't wait to try some different flavors.

Wonderful variety of flavors. The family loved all of them. A little more pricey than some other places but well worth it!

Best cheesecake I've ever had. I've had cheesecake in many parts of the country. This is the best cheesecake hands down.

My first time was better (pun intended!). The dessert was so-so. I got the Naughty by Nature and the lime was WAY too tart. I wish they had more variation for those who don't want a lot of chocolate or peanut butter. My guy had the Peanut Butter Perversion and said it was too creamy. We may try again one day, but not too soon. I do love the menu process and ease to view options.

Let me start with this: I wanted to give this place 2 stars, but I'm giving 3 solely because of the…read moreaccommodating staff over the phone who kindly helped change the time of our reservation. That kind of service is appreciated. Unfortunately, everything else? Pretty underwhelming. First impressions? Chaos. The entrance area is a logistical mess. People trying to enter, others trying to leave, a cramped waiting area, and no host in sight to direct traffic or check people in. Add dim lighting that makes it hard to see people moving around, and you've got elbows bumping and bodies brushing. Ironically, the most "intimate" part of the whole night was navigating the front door. The concept? Great. The execution? Not so much. I actually love the idea behind this place -- seductive storytelling by your server, iPads with flirtatious menus, and provocative questions to ask your partner. That's all fun... if that's what you're coming for. I came for the desserts. And as someone who takes sweets seriously, this place didn't deliver. Let's talk drinks: Tiny, overpriced, and flavor-wise -- basic. Nothing memorable. The chocolate-rimmed glasses are a nice touch in theory, but licking the rim doesn't elevate the drink. If I want to rim a glass with something sweet at home, I can. That alone doesn't justify the price. Now, the real heartbreak -- the desserts. My fiancé had the Prince Charming red velvet cheesecake, and I don't think I've ever encountered a cheesecake so dry, so devoid of flavor. Even the crust tasted off -- weirdly savory, and not in a creative way. I ordered the Blueberry Birthday -- it sounded like heaven: buttered cinnamon-sugar toast, Belgian white chocolate, spiked blueberry compote, brie cheese, and a strawberry champagne dip. Sadly, it was more like culinary whiplash. Dry. Disconnected flavors. The only thing that saved it from being inedible was the champagne dip -- without it, I probably would've choked. Three drinks and three desserts came out to around $90. For that price, I expected to be wowed -- or at least pleasantly full. I left confused, slightly annoyed, and still craving dessert. Maybe we came on an off night. Maybe we chose the wrong menu items. Either way, I won't be back to find out.
