This continues to be a favorite and fabulous pizza parlor. Soda does come in a can at two dollars each. There's a menu on the counter if you can't read the high one on the wall. Our group of 7 visited Frankie's for dinner tonight. Driving into the parking lot, I wasn't sure if there was going to space inside for our group but they've got seating for about 40 inside. Their soda machine was down but they had cans available. I'm not sure if $2.50 for a can of soda was worth it so I opted for refillable iced tea. We ordered and food started coming out quickly. First they brought out my friends small Greek salad which was a great size and looked tasty. They brough out a little cup of their pepperoni chips for us to try, maybe unbeknownst to them that I had ordered a whole appetizer of them. They were basically baked pepperoni slices served with ranch (I enjoyed dipping them in marinara as well). My chicken parmesan sub was good. Two thinly pounded chicken breasts that had been breaded in fried. Put between two really good hoagie/grinder rolls. My only complain would be wanting more cheese and marinara. I found the sandwich to be just a touch dry without the extra sauce. Service was great. The place was busy with to go orders and our group was checked on regularly. Nice little spot. We ordered 2 pizzas' to be delivered last night. 1 pizza was a cheese pizza with pepperoni and black olives, the other pizza was a cheese pizza with onions, mushrooms and green peppers. When delivered (right on time) both pizzas were dry, hard and barely warm. They were almost tasteless. Very large disappointment - we will never order a pizza from them again. The garlic knots were good, and we were thankful we had something to eat. read more

I had a craving for a meatball sub and this was the spot. 5pm on Sunday and it was not at all busy. Ten minutes after ordering, I had it in my hands. Toasted and crunchy bread, melty cheese, hot meatballs and sauce. A good portion and not too expensive. The young girls who are working the register are polite and efficient. The restaurant is clean. Whenever I come from Georgia to visit my mother I always look forward to ordering the Charlotte from Frankie's. Tonight I ordered through their Slice app as recommended. The pizza and mozzarella sticks arrived in a timely manner but both were cold. The pizza crust tasted like cardboard. Next time I come down I will try ordering directly from Frankie's. read more

In town visiting a friend, it was decided that it was going to be pizza night. Eager, not having had decent pizza in a while I pleased with the result.. To start we got delivery and not being from the area I'm not exactly sure how far it is to where we are just outside of Greenville, but I think it's a decent drive. The delivery dude made good time and the pizzas were nice and hot. We got one Sausage and peppers pie and a pepperoni pie. Presentation and packing were very good, not melted cheese sliding off the slices and not too greasy. My only complaint was the peppers could've been sliced a bit better and a bit more sausage, but they still tasted very good, as did the pepperoni. My friend, his family and I made short work of the two pies. My friend says this is his favorite pizza spot in the area and can see why. With fast delivery, good packing and nice tasting pizza, I recommend. read more

Greenville has a ton of NY style pizza places which is odd, because I live in Columbia and we have maybe two? Eating through these places up here is hard because they all claim to have the best NY Style Pizza or the most authentic. Frankie's is good. I'll stop it there, really. You're not going to come here and get blown away by their slices, but they're solid enough to come back frequently. I've had slices all along the Southeast and even the Northeast up in Boston. This could compete right up there with those. It just wouldn't be in the top 3 or 5. It's kind of rare to see pizza places down South offer slices. Pizza places can be really weird about that, but Frankie's does it and props to them. I'd check them out. read more

5 stars for customer service while taking my delivery order, 5 stars for delivery from the owner, 5 stars for amazing ranch dressing, and 5 stars for piping hot pizza with fresh ingredients. I ordered 14" Frankies Special and highly recommend if you are wanting a perfect combo of fresh yet flavorful vegetables, dynamic meat toppings, and "can stand up to bending your pizza slice" cheese. I don't know if there are new owners or what happened, but it was terrible. It was unequivocally the worst pizza we have ever had. I'm not sure how it's even possible to make a pepperoni pizza and a cheese pizza to taste that bad. I think the crust might even be pre-made, and the sauce tasted like ketchup. read more

My wife talked me into trying again even though I was pretty set on not returning. The driver was wearing a good mask today and wearing it correctly. This driver was practicing covid precautions and we appreciated it very much. I guess they just have one driver who won't wear a mask so now I'm not sure about ordering again because we won't know if we will get a driver like today being careful or one like the time before with no mask at all. read more

Great pizza that taste closes to NJ pizza. If anyone from the Northeast looking for their hometown pizza, this is the closest you will get to it in taste. Only bad part is the wait time for your pizza. It gets extremely crowded on Thursday and Fridays so if you need to, you should order the pizza an hour ahead. I still at times have to wait 15-20 mins after getting there so be prepared to wait. Hopefully the owner thinks about expanding the place or moving to a bigger location and get more oven to help with the flow of people on these days. But overall, this is a great place to get your pizza. read more

Home Run. Slam Dunk. Knock it out the Park. This pizza is hands down the go to pizza. Now I have a top 3 of pizza places in Greenville. The only thing is, they forgot my marinara for my garlic knots and I ordered extra marinara at that. Other than that dont sleep on this place. Oh and the cheesesteak- top notch! We stumbled upon this place when we were frantically trying to find some pizza to feed the kids while we were in town looking for homes. Pizza was great NY style Pizza. Cheesiest calzone I've ever had. Great spot. And now we live 5 mins away so we've made it a a regular spot. Staff was friendly. Feels like a typical Ny walk in pizza spot. No complaints. read more

located in a small strip mall this is a rare find of pretty darn close to NY/NJ Pizza. Cost is a little more than I think they should charge BUT I still buy it on a regular basis. Only place I've found that was close was their sister place, Bada Bing. Crust is different but still tastes like home. Best in the area IMO read more

We ordered a large 18" pepperoni NY style pizza with cheesy bread tonight. We came here about a week ago to try and get a pizza, but since they're doing curbside only the wait was over 50 minutes for a pizza. Glad we decided to come back! We called it in and only had to wait about 5 minutes. The pizza didn't disappoint and their french garlic style cheesy bread was really good too! My sister lives in Buffalo, NY and we eat pizza there every time we go visit. This pizza was pretty up to par with authentic NY pizza in the flavor, sauce/topping ratio, plenty of cheese, and insanely large slices that you fold in half to scarf down. I've read the reviews and they are all over the place, hitting both extremes with divergent opinions. Now, I am no pizza expert, but having just spent 11 years in Upstate NY with a Sister In-Law in the city whom we visited frequently I know a thing or two about "NY Style Pizza" & the various takes on pizza within NY based on your region or Burb. So honestly I do not understand some of the prior reviews, of which some appear to be written out of spite. Regardless, from my own evaluation I have nothing negative to say about the "attitude" of the staff to include the owner who was nothing but friendly and talkative with me. Now for the food. I can not speak to any of the other menu items for I have not tried them yet. But, the pie is tasty and is thin crust NY pizza that I'm use to. Granted the slices are not as large as I'm use to, but you can still fold eat and enjoy. I would recommend the pie. It's pretty dam tasty. read more

I'm not some pizza expert like Dave from barstool sports nor do I have a degree in this stuff but I'm fat and I'll let my credibility weigh in from that. I have high standards for food and don't eat anywhere or everywhere when I'm hungry but this place hit the spot. Got their cheese pizza and garlic knots. Both were extremely delicious! Crust a perfect crunchy but a chewy, cheese was fresh and one of the few pizza places that doesn't churn my stomach after I consume it. Best pizza I've had since moving from the west coast. You won't be disappointed and kind of surprised by the low reviews to be honest. read more

Unfortunately, this was a miss for me. I had high hopes. It wasn't the big floppy thin crust I expect from a NY style pizza. And I felt like there was a yellow cheese on the pizza and the sauce was bland. Overall I thought it was gross. The wings were just meh. I won't be going back. I will stick with Venus Pie in Spartanburg or Bada Bing on Woodruff for more traditional NY Style Pizza (and no, I don't work for either one of those places). read more

We were looking for someplace local for lunch and decided we wanted pizza. We decided to check out Frankie's after seeing lots of recommendations on our community's Facebook page. We each ordered one of the lunch specials-- a slice and a Greek salad. One of the best, most freshest Greek salads I have ever eaten... chocked full of feta, olives, onion, peppers and amazing dressing! The pizza was equally impressive especially the crust... with a perfect balance of crispy and chewy! And the young lady at the counter was very personable and helpful!! read more

Though, the presentation was impeccable, I must admit. Whitney, our server, deserves a standing ovation! She was part waitress, part Italian food narrator, and made every dish sound like it had a backstory which honestly just elevates the whole experience. And the lemon cheesecake is worth saving room for. Flavors were bright, dreamy, and worth every calorie. My only regret is skipping the house-made focaccia.

It was very clean, and the atmosphere is one of its strongest assets. We sat outside overlooking Fluor Field, which made for a really enjoyable setting. The outdoor patio was comfortable, and the new awnings provided great shade, making it easy to relax even in the sun. Service was excellent from start to finish. Attentive, and professional. No complaints there at all. For drinks, I ordered a carajillo, which was very well done. The food is where things started to fall short. We began with the long hot stuffed peppers. The dish only comes with two peppers, so the portion felt a bit small. The sausage itself was decent, but it was severely lacking seasoning, and the sauce didn't add much to elevate it. The verde lasagna followed a similar trend. The pasta itself was clearly good quality, but the overall dish was underwhelming and lacking depth of flavor. The scallop dish was the best of what we tried. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the asparagus was fresh, and the risotto had a good texture. Unfortunately, even here, the dish still felt like it was missing seasoning and bold flavor, which was a recurring theme throughout the meal. Given the upscale setting and prime location, expectations are understandably higher and so are the prices. That said, the portion sizes and overall flavor didn't quite justify the cost in my opinion. Overall, a great location with excellent service and ambiance, but the food needs more seasoning and depth to truly match the setting and price point.
