I've had a pleasant experience to date with Dr. Suleiman and his practice. It's not exactly as if I've seen lots of sleep doctors - you see one and that's it. But I'm glad my primary care doctor referred me here for possible sleep apnea instead of a bigger medical group or one of those online tele-sales clinics. I got the feeling that Dr. Sulieman really enjoys his job working with patients. He took an unhurried time to listen, consult, ask about concerns and my medical history, and patiently explain to me the science of sleeping, physiology, and how it relates to overall wellness and medical condition. It made me feel respected and well cared for. The office is pretty homey, lived in decor despite being in a multi-story medical building with killer views of nearby mountain cliffs. Pulse and blood pressure devices you could buy for yourself instead of a sci fi bank of blinking machines, it reminded me of going to my family doctor when I was a child. Since then I've dealt exclusively with staff and nurses, but they have been fine too. Very sweet and personable. Turns out I do have a mild case, enough to warrant one of those air pressure devices you hook up like a scuba diver all night long, which came by parcel from an affiliated supplier. It helped a lot from day one, and was no trouble getting used to. People describe health experiences as a journey, and this one started out stress-free, comfortable, and well treated. Unless they see your sleeping environment, make sure there's no chemicals offgassing, fabrics and furniture support your frame body and neck, lighting is correct and dark for sleeping, diet supportive of circadian rhythm then this whole profession is cuckoo. Tell them to come see her living environment first and have them prescribe healthy nontoxic furniture, fabrics if you're sleeping at a gas chamber with chemicals toxins and pesticides your body can't eliminate then you're going to have trouble sleeping. First doctors I've ever had to deal with in my life he cares more about his staff than he does his patients he literally let me go today because someone lost my CT scan and when I was upset and angry because I had been waiting for two weeks for that CT scan the gentleman simply told me he didn't want to be his doctor anymore this is a doctor? Do not see this Doctor. I used his sleep center for an overnight sleep study and the accommodations were extremely uncomfortable, very old mattress. Awful night of sleep. Old and dated room that didn't seem very clean. I saw Dr. Suleiman before my study and for a post sleep study. Dr. Suleiman said he would refer me to a Dentist for an apnea device and then once I left his office he said he would not honor his word. He was fine to sell me a $200 nasal device from his own office, though. Staff is rude and unprofessional on the phone and follow up appointment after sleep study was scheduled for 7 weeks out until I complained that it was unacceptable and made room for me in the next week. Terrible experience. Please find another sleep doctor. read more

I love Doctor Jamel Sulieman. He's the Doctor at the sleep lab. If only all Doctors could be as kind and caring as he is. He actually spends time with you. He gives you information that you need. I had an appointment with him in the morning and with my regular MD in the afternoon. The difference between the 2 are extreme. With Dr Sulieman I had to sign something saying I understand he may have to cancel an appointment because he takes care of sick people and may be called away to a patient in the hospital. The 2nd Doctor made a joke about how he doesn't do email because he never wants to talk to patients out side office hours. Doctor Sulieman has well trained his sleep lab person who was awesome during my sleep study that night. She made sure I had everything I needed, and was as comfortable as possible during my sleep study. The people that work the front desk are terrific along with his Nurse Practitioner who was so very kind to me. Unfortunately/fortunately I wil not be going there again because when I saw Dr Sulieman more than 2 years ago I did what he nicely suggested I do . I lost weight. I no longer have sleep apnea. 14 May 2022 First saw Dr. Suliman about two years ago. Since his initial evaluation and my using the CPAP he recommended, I've seen a terrific change in my health. I've been sleeping better, awake refreshed and ready to go each morning instead of dragging through each day. He spent time discussing my sleep apnea problem and the best way to take care of it and it worked. His staff are helpful, friendly and courteous and I couldn't ask for better care and treatment. If you've got a problem with sleep apnea or just with restlessness and wake up tired night after night, please, give them a call. read more

Dr. Suleiman is awesome and friendly, but what makes this place truly special is his staff! Especially Leesa Souza, she has taken care of me and my family for years, and while it was always difficult to be hurting or having family in the icu, we knew we were going to be taken care of with compassion and aloha. I was referred to The Sleep Lab in March 2016 and I have been receiving treatment through them since. But I have to say - this has been the WORST medical practice I have EVER sought treatment from! I don't use the word "Hate" to describe any experience but this place is the exception to my rule - I HATE THIS PLACE! I have been struggling with my fatigue for almost a year and I have grown desperate to find treatment so when I finally got diagnosed with OSA, I was actually thrilled and relieved that I would be getting the much needed treatment so I was excited to start my treatment. Since my treatment started, it has been a long and exhausting struggle dealing with this office. Over the course of 8 months of treatment, I have met the doctor TWICE and all of my appointments have been with nurse practitioners. To make matters worse, he has such a lousy employment retention rate that I have NEVER met with the same practitioner so every time I went in it was like starting over all over again...answering the same redundant questions from the last time. I mean - how inefficient is that?? Like the previous review, is office staff SUCK! expecting a call back from them is like waiting for your 3-year old to clean up his room. The office staff constantly complains about people who seek treatment but never follow through with the treatment but here I am - a patient in desperate need of the treatment and is committed to getting the treatment I need and they can't even return a call back for me to order supplies!! Apparently, there is an internal process to ordering supplies that can take over a week to just get it started! All I needed was a replacement hose and they kept telling me they're waiting for my insurance. BS! I called my insurance and they said they haven't received anything from them regarding the cpap supplies. If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure all it takes for someone from their office to look up my insurance and see if it's covered. Nope because there's a process. Anyways, I'm done with this place. Please take my review seriously and go somewhere else for treatment because it's not worth it. You'll be paying a co-payment for doctors visits for NOTHING. Unless you enjoy paying a "nurse practitioner" to listen to your sleep problems and give you WEB MD advice, then by all means this place is for you. Dr. Sulieman is an EXCELLENT doctor, but the shortfall is his office staff. They are all very friendly, but follow-up is extremely poor. They will not call you when your test results are received, and they often will not return calls. I asked about ordering supplies, and they told me someone would call me in the next couple of days, but it's been almost a month and no call, so I went back to my previous supplier and purchased the supplies. If you are the type who has the time to keep calling them to follow up, I would highly recommend this business. The doctor is worth 5 stars, but not the staff. read more
