They are certainly not shy with their ingredients and even though I didn't get a large variety of items there were so much on my pita it was a chore to eat. I think they either need bigger pitas or I can't believe I'm saying this give smaller portions. There is so much on my pita that I couldn't even fold it enough to pick it up and take a bite. I had to get out the fork and knife and eat away before I was able to fold it. It took a lot of work to eat that pita and not make a huge mess. Don't let that be the only thing you take from my review though. The food really is fantastic and the amount for the price cannot be beat. I have been to Israel before on a trip and I loved the food there. Now being in the states I am constantly on the lookout for good Mediterranean food! This place is it - kind of. Especially important as Greek food is a lot of vegetables, so it's important to me to not be served slimy or discolored vegetables The taste - the taste as stated is fresh. The Greek salad has a great mix of vegetable and Olive oil to make it flavorful. Their spicy humus is amazing. I am very picky about my humus and won't eat many store bought brands and flavors. I actually brought some of this home with me! The restaurant - the restaurant was kept very clean and all the trays and plates were all always put up and being grabbed by the staff. Update: We gave this place another try about 2 weeks ago and really wish we hadn't. Again we witnessed unsafe and unsanitary food handling by the staff. The TV menu wasn't working when we approached the counter. One of the food preparers was out trying to get the menu back on using a remote. He was wearing his gloves from preparing previous customers food and he was wiping sweat from his face.. When he got the menus back on the TV screen, he went right back to the food line with the gloves he was wearing while working the remote. I told the person in front of me to tell him to change his gloves but he didn't understand what I was saying so I just told him he needs to change his gloves before touching any food. Seriously this isn't a fluke....this is how they operate. Only been here twice and both times they have had zero clue about the proper sanitary guidelines in food handling. The food and cleanliness is the only thing nice about the place. The service is not great. It's always a hot mess in here. The employees don't know what comes with what. Meaning if I order a side of hummus for $3 they usually put it in the larger container.. bc it's a $3 side of hummus. They try to put it in a little salad dressing to go cup. They're usually out of something and it's only just the start of dinner. They are very distracted and I guess expected to take orders, ring ppl up and answer the phone and clean up/ restock the dinning room. Seems like service isn't being trained well and they're not designating tasks fairly. They were out of forks completely one time and had no idea where to find more. Just really weird. I had falafel as my protein, and for toppings I had olives, cucumber, tomato, red onions, pickled onions, roasted red peppers, and finished it with Greek dressing. I wanted grilled chicken and vegetables. I also added avocado, hummus, and a pita. Everything I ordered was incredibly inexpensive, and I got a water. It was ready within five minutes and it is exactly what I wanted-something healthy, fresh, and quick.
