If you end up looking at this yelp page for shower work, more than likely you will need this service. I assure you Shower Pan King is the right choice for you! His work is high quality with a very reasonable price. Our shower base in the master room started leaking downstairs. An inspection with the plumbers showed that the shower base was not installed correctly in the first place. There was no water proofing done. It was the caulk that kept the shower base from leaking all these years and it has worn down. I called a few places and they all recommended replacing the whole shower (shower base + tiles + waterproofing + the glass doors) with a high cost. Then, I found Dave the Shower Pan King! He is such a nice person. On the first call, we talked for a couple of hours about the situation. I was quite happy to learn that he would be able to replace just the base and install the water proofing without changing the glass doors and most of the tiles. It's only the last row of the wall tiles we will need to replace. He went over to the house for assessment. He took pictures of the tiles and found really good matches. During the whole process, he has always been very patient and willing to explain to me every step along the way. His estimated cost was way below others. The quality of his work is on another level! I was quite impressed by his excellent attention to detail. Here is one example: although the new tiles are very close to the old ones, there still is a slight difference if you look closer. To make it less obvious, Dave left out the two tiles next to the glass door frames when cutting them off (check the pictures). This made the tiles look more consistent after the shower pan was installed. It took him about 2 weeks to do the whole job. He would send me photos everyday to report the progress and discuss anything that needs my decision. When he came to the site, he would bring all kinds of covers for the furniture and carpets. After the work is done, he would clean up thoroughly and you wouldn't even notice some heavy renovation has been done. The project came out better than I expected and the final charge is just the same as the estimation (no hidden fees). If you are looking for someone to do a shower pan job, look no further. Dave will be the right person to hire!

Incredibly smooth mortar job

All hail the king ! We bought a house that had a very poorly made walk-in shower which was leaking, and also had some tiles damaged from plumbing repairs. A different contractor felt the only solution was to demolish and rebuild the whole thing (well over $10K for a shower that size). David was able to carefulllllly take off the bottom row of tiles, find a perfect match for the existing tile, precisely fill in the damaged holes, tear the shower pan down to the framing, build a new shower pan (triple sealed and tested with an overnight soak) and rebuild it so you'd never know. All the while he explained exactly what he was doing, took photos and videos for documentation, discussed the pros and cons of various options. (Check out the videos on his site, they're super informative.) The end price came out well under the other contractor and we have 100% confidence that the work is absolutely top notch. While working, he was absolutely considerate, quiet, kept the dust down, careful with parking, always masked, and everything else you'd want. Our only disappointment was that he didn't show up in royal regalia. Something about "robes getting caught in the tile saw" and "crown gets dusty".

Removed the old shower pan and installed the tiles, which match the old tiles (before putting back the glass door)

Dave helped us remove the old plastic shower pan and install the tiles. He explained everything to us and always kept everything tidy at the end of each day. He did a great job, and we are happy with the result.

What words can I say to express and tell you about the great services provided by the Shower King Pan. Mr David came to my family home almost 8years ago to do minor repairs to our shower. Three months ago, I found a leak coming from the upstairs shower. I immediately though of the Shower King Pan to come to my rescue. Unfortunately, I had to wait two months to get on his calendar and I'm so glad I was patient. Mr. David arrived with protective gear and informed me how he would resolve my shower leak. He texted me videos everyday of his progress. He kept the bathroom area clean and his work was very efficient. If you want contractor that takes pride in his work contact the Shower Pan King.

David is the BEST! He just finished repairing our shower pan in our SF home built in the 50's. Even though the tiles do not match perfectly since they are original tiles and hard to match, David makes the shower a work of art! He is very professional, clean, responsible regarding COVID-19 precautions, and takes pride in his work. 5+!

The finished job, looks amazing!

I think it's important folks know…read moreabout this experience so see below: ______________________ I had such a bad experience with Mission Home which I know will look bonkers given the 5 star reviews. I was definitely persuaded by these reviews - and now will question every business that has 5 star reviews. Do your homework and don't be fooled. Project took much longer than what it should have because they were disorganized and would forget certain things (the foreman would even admit that the PM should have told me certain things!) that I would have imagined a contractor had down pat in terms of sequencing. They use some subcontractors and you are at the mercy of their schedules. They just are not organized (you will do a lot of the reminding, checking in, following up, and certain things still may not happen). They failed inspections meaning more cost (it is their job to pass these! It says this in any contract!) If it seemed as though I was questioning something, the PM got defensive and sometimes unprofessional, gaslighting me in a very aggressive manner. I saved the communication, in fact. The people I worked with directly were young and it showed in the almost-too-casual style of communication and lack of professionalism. I surrendered towards the end and just wanted the project done and everyone gone. I feel completely foolish that I went with the significantly higher estimate thinking it would offer a smooth, superior experience. The actual people who did the work worked hard though and did nice work - hence the two stars. But at the end of the day, it's actually hard to enjoy the work as I am reminded by the months of bad experiences - up to the very end. You can find more experienced contractors out there for equal quality of workmanship and for a more competitive price. I am using a different contractor now for other work at the property - it's a 180 degree difference - they have a dedicated team for my project, meaning time to completion is more accurate and on time; they have a dedicated person to procure the finishes and fixtures, not myself; they are way more organized and even provided me a timeline of what to expect and communicate with me what time they are showing up and what progress was made that day (!!); they are bringing a truly expert eye with attention to detail that ELEVATES the space and are teaching me to ask things I didn't even know I should KNOW to ask; and most importantly, I feel truly comfortable asking questions without defensiveness and aggressive steamrolling in their answers. I received none of this level of care or expertise with MHR, and I want you to know that you should expect these things!!!

This makes no sense because we just want to get a ballpark to see if it's even make sense to continue. But anyway, on the date of the site visit, the guy come without any tool for measurements and for note taking. The guy just spent like 20 mins walking around the house and said he will get back to us with a quote. But I never hear back from them since. I think the company is very picky on clients and like to see if they have enough money to pay for their service. If they think we cannot afford it, they will just cut all the communications. I hired Prime to renovate my kitchen - countertops, backsplash, cabinets, electrical, freezer, etc…read more They also helped install a new bidet toilet for me. Overall the experience was very good; Elijah and Bryan were super friendly and responsive. Eli was very patient and accommodating as we discussed several different potential change orders, from new windows to painting, to other misc. things that popped up. Bryan Luna was especially a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and proactivity to solve any little thing I mentioned was definitely the highlight of working with Prime. Their contracted electrician, Hector, was great as well. I also think they did a great job building out a cabinet to fit our freezer next to the matching fridge. Their master carpenter managed to salvage our existing wood to make it match perfectly. Definitely better than what I'd expect from even a carpentry specialty contractor. I will mention that it wasn't without some snags. Prime deals in volume so they're very busy. I think because I had delays in sourcing a freezer I ended up not getting a dedicated project manager for some time. We had timeline issues made worse with holidays. This caused cascading delays which inevitably pushed back my move in date a few weeks. When I finally did get a new project manager, they ghosted me (later on I found out they had a family emergency). Eli had to step in again to help. Another thing is that their pricing is quite opaque. The estimate will break down prices by milestones, but they repeated told me that it's not a valuation of the milestone itself. This made it nigh impossible to understand if I wanted to contract out specific pieces of the project (e.g. flooring). Design was OK. I felt that the designer was very busy. Sometimes very responsive (5min replies), sometimes not responsive at all (no reply). I wish I had a better, more thorough back-and-forth session about the intricacies of the design. But we made do. Ultimately, the designer made a render and helped point us to some vendors, but from there we had to make our own selection alone (cabinets, handles, pendant lights, faucets, etc.). I did appreciate her presence when we picked out countertops, though. All in all, I think this was a 4.5 star job, but I'm rounding to 5 because of Eli and Bryan :)

Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

He answered all our questions and helped us choose what would work best for our home and budget. From there, everything moved smoothly. The permitting took around three weeks, and construction was finished in about two and a half months, right on schedule and with no surprises. We also want to mention Adrian, the designer, who was such a pleasure to work with. He helped us choose all the materials and finishes while staying within our budget. His eye for design and attention to detail made the whole process so much easier and enjoyable. The combination of functionality and style he brought to the project made a huge difference.
