We began renovating our 1950s kitchen and were looking for someone to replace our kitchen backsplash and floor. We saw Andrew's amazing reviews on Yelp and gave him a call. He came over to provide a quote within 72 hours. Without a project manager on the renovation project, we were so appreciative of Andrew's guidance! For instance: - We bought thick Zellige tile, which is known for its inconsistent shape and glaze. We also unintentionally bought a thicker version of the tile. Andrew knew what to do! He mapped the layout to balance the variation in glaze color. He also was AMAZING at mitering the edges of the thick tile and working with inconsistent tile shape. - Our floor was not level and had a shaky subfloor. One side was over an inch higher than the other. And we bought LARGE tile (24"x47"), which is harder to work with than smaller tile. Andrew knew exactly how to ensure our floor was even, reinforced, and beautiful. We would work with Andrew again because: - Andrew is professional. He has the tools and know-how. He will show up when he says and is clear about the project timeline and his availability. He asks for feedback but isn't high maintenance. He really wants you to be happy with the results. - He is incredibly tidy. He went above and beyond each day to remove debris. At the end of the project, his work area was cleaner than before he arrived! - He's also a perfectionist. You don't have to worry about uneven tiles or grout. It will look perfect. (This is not true for other contractors we've worked with.) Zellige tiles are not perfect - they have chips, uneven edges, and different glaze tones. We asked him to work with the tile imperfections (because we love to look!) and he did an amazing job. If you want someone who is thoughtful, tidy, and meticulous about his craft, Andrew is your guy! We count our lucky stars that we found Andrew through GM Marble and Granite (another great company!). We were left without a tile person and luckily Andrew was able to take the job. We learned a lot about how difficult setting glass mosaic tile could be. I don't think that our tile work by any other person would have come out the way it did. Our tile has an irregular shape and it took an incredible amount of planning and patience to get the results he did. I didn't compare his bid to others since we were in a tight spot and were just thankful to find someone who was highly recommended. After seeing how difficult and fragile the tile we chose was to install, and how hard he worked to make it come together, he was more than worth it. He matched the corners and tight places so well that the end result makes me feel like I am living in art. His work is stunning, his attention to detail is impressive, he works full days --sometime not stopping for lunch--despite protests, cleans his work space at the end of each day, and he's easy to have around. Andrew is the GOAT of tile installers. I had a really bad experience with a general contractor - he left me with open shower walls and a really bad vanity tile job. Andrew came in and fixed it all! He waterproofed and installed subway tile around my tub and demoed and installed hexagon tile in a cool layout around my vanity. His pricing is a LOT less than what the mega contracting firms charge, and is no more than what other tile specialist charge (trust me, I got a few quotes). On top of that, Andrew is the most professional contractor I have engaged with for the following reasons: 1.) He actually shows up when he says he will. 2.) I am a female - I live alone and WFH. I was home during the entirety of the work and I NEVER felt uncomfortable. Also I should mention that I he was working on my 1 and only bathroom... 3.) His quotes are ACTUALLY what he charges. So unless he buys out of scope materials (like shower shelves which he prices for you before buying) you pay what he quotes). Please see the attached photos of work done by Andrew's Tiling! I've had Andrew work in my home three times now. He is a very talented and detail focused tiler, but what really sets him apart is that he always goes the extra mile. My home is a condo so he had to cut tiles in my bathroom (where the job was located). Once he had finished the job I went in expecting to need to do some clean up (dust, wipe down the mirrors, etc) but found that he had not only cleaned the walls and floor, but he cleaned the shower glass (it had lots of water stain buildup). Andrew has a great work ethic, stands by the quality of his work and tries extra hard to make sure you're happy. I can't recommend him enough for any tile related work - I just wish he was a general contractor so I could have him do everything. As a footnote - he is fully insured and is able to work with a strict HOA, most tradespeople I've talked to won't work in high rise buildings because contractors are held to higher standards. read more

We chose Andrew's Tile based on his Yelp reviews. He tore out the carpet and vinyl floor underlayment in our bathroom and tiled it with 12" x 24" tile. He did a meticulous Job and was very responsive to what we wanted the end result to look like. We were so impressed with his skill and fair pricing that we also asked him to reface our brick fireplace. We chose a 24" x 24" porcelain tile so that we could achieve a fairly seamless look, which required a lot of tile cutting to get exact sizing needed. Upon expressing our concerns about seeing the unfinished tile edges he said no need to worry, he would bevel all the edges so that there would not be any visible unfinished tile edges. Knowing how labor intensive this would be we were VERY impressed. The job turned out better than we could have imagined, and believe me, I was very happy as my husband is an architect that likes everything to be perfect. We HIGHLY recommend Andrew of Andrew's Tile. No surprises in the final price, they asked us to buy the exact amount of time required, so nothing wasted, they were every morning on time, covered every spot they worked on properly and left it cleaner than they found it.
