We met Dan after he did a job for my brothers apartment, who found him on Yelp. Dan was super responsive and reliable. He replied to all our emails and calls. He showed up on time as promised, and was super clean and attentive. He put down protective mats in the hallways and wiped up any spills. Dan came across as very honest and down to earth. Almost a rare quality this day and age. The quality of his work was amazing. All the grout lines were exact and evenly spaced. The tile was laid out true and square. He check his work as he proceeded, ensuring things stayed aligned. There were only two small items we felt that needed correcting and he did so immediately. We are so impressed with his work and can't recommend him enough. We have one job left and have already planned for him to do that as well. Continuum installed tiles for a bathroom floor and walls around a shower for us. The tiles look ok, but the grout is not even/uniformly done and it's kind of crumbly--you can scratch it off with your fingernail. I don't know if they got the mix wrong? They were also lazy . . . not covering a hardwood floor they were crossing in their work boots until we told them to. And we parked on the street so they could cut tiles in our garage, but they never even swept once--they left a thick carpet of white tile dust. Other subs I've worked with cleaned up each day. We sure were disappointed with their work after seeing all the 5 star reviews here. read more

Dan did a wonderful job installing Fireclay Tile in our bathroom. He removed the old tile and shower enclosure and rebuilt a new shower curb. He was also a huge help with other issues that popped up during the project, like water damage under the old tile. He even helped me pick out a new paint color for the walls. Our tile projects were finished today by Dan and his assistant Mike of Continuum Tile. Dan and Mike transformed our kitchen backsplash and walls and finished the lower face of our fireplace in our living room. We are so happy with the final look of these projects!! Worked with Dan on replacing our shower. Project goals were: Removing old tile, trouble-shooting//replacing walls around shower stall as needed due to pre-existing water damage, replacing 3 sides of shower area with new tile, increasing the footprint, replacing the base from a generic pan to "rocks/tile-work", and replacing the fixtures, including having to move plumbing. Dan was great to work with for many reasons: -consistently showed up everyday (not the norm for a lot of contractors!) -reasonable price -very good quality work -stayed on schedule and on budget -communicative, polite and personable -open to handling slight changes or ambiguity at the early stages of the project -was able to offer insight/feedback on planning for next steps of remodel at a later date I definitely plan to hire him again for more bathroom remodel projects in the future. read more

Highly recommend Dan at Continuum Tile. Dan recently did our bathroom and we're so happy with the result. We met many contractors over a 2 year period, but they were all either a) too pricey b) too complicated/slow in their proposal processes c) unable to communicate in English d) had their own ideas of materials, style, etc or e) seemed disinterested in doing a smaller house/bathroom. I just didn't really trust and never felt quite comfortable with anyone until my friend found Dan on Yelp and recommended him. Dan is genuine and hard working. He was laid-back in his proposal process, gave a really good, fair price and responded to emails and questions simply, quickly and patiently. He is a tiling expert but can do almost all the renovation stuff himself-- he installed a prehung & pocket door, made minor adjustments to our pipes-- bringing in his electrician, demo, plumbing experts if he needs to. He also gives you suggestions, tells you details that you may not be aware of in the renovation process. It took 2.5 weeks from beginning to end, but it all progressed steadily and construction was neat, solid. Note: you can't measure for shower doors until tile is laid, so have your shower door company on standby. Dan was very careful & courteous about the entire process, so the rest of our house didn't get dusty. He has a great eye and just quietly worked each day. He also salvaged tile scraps when I ran short. Our neighbor had Dan install special Italian tiles for her and she was happy with the way he handled them. We love our bathroom and definitely plan to use him for our entry way & kitchen! read more

If you are looking for someone that is honest, hardworking, shows up every day, does beautiful work and is super easy to work with, call Dan. I have an old Victorian, so I have worked with many contractors. Dan is at the top of my list. Dan remodeled 2 very ugly and old bathrooms. They had pink tile, pink walls, cheap fixtures and cabinets from a cheap remodel done in the 80s. Dan transformed them into black and white marble works of art. My husband at first said he was afraid to use the bathrooms because they are so nice. They were gutted and most everything but the ceiling replaced. Dan did all the plumbing, tile work, cabinet installations and fixture installations. He even installed a fancy Toto toilet that provides entertainment for everyone. Dan had an electrician come in to do the electrical and he was amazing too. We hit a few bumps in the road, but Dan was always able to work around them. Dan even tolerated my big Akita checking in on him. He did such a great job that I had him remodel the bathroom shower downstairs after he completed the remodel upstairs. I only have one powder room left for him to do. Unfortunately, I am out of money for a little while. But once I recoup. I will be calling Dan to transform that room as well. read more

Dan did a to the studs remodel of two bathrooms in our 100 year old home. Also backsplash over new kitchen counters. if you can get him (he is very busy) then Dan is your man! He is competitive, trustworthy, his tile work is fantastic, and he also does plumbing, electrical, simple construction and sheetrock. He is a genuinely nice person, cares about his work, likes his job. Our master bath was a big project- he demoed 100 year old shower, took out a wall separating a sitting room, moved location of everything in the room- shower, toilet, vanity, bathtub. Installed two pocket doors. Heated floor. Fantastic tile work. Second bath involved all new plumbing, sheetrock, new tub and shower, floor and wall tile. Both our bathrooms and kitchen came out fantastic! Will try and post pictures one day but recommend Dan without hesitation. Update: We had Dan back to the redo the tile in two more bathrooms earlier this year. We ordered custom tile from Fireclay Tile, both rooms had new wall paper and he was able to remove the old tile and underlayment and put in new tile right to the edge of the wallpaper with no damage! As usual Dan was fantastic to work with. He's not redone two bathrooms from scratch (showers, floor, all plumbing and tubs) replaced tile above kitchen counter, and two tile tub surrounds. I've had Continuum Tile do multiple jobs for me over the last 5 years. Dan does very high quality work and is always willing to provide advice on the job if you need it. We hired Dan to remodel our main bathroom before we moved into our new home. We were initially hesitant to hire a "tile guy" to act as our general contractor, but he did an excellent job, as all these previous reviews will attest. Dan transformed an ugly bathroom into a work of art in 3 short weeks. He was very easy to work with. He and his helper always showed up every day and cleaned up afterwards. Every day we could see steady progress. Whenever there were any issues, Dan would bring them up as soon as he knew about them so we could head off any major misunderstandings or disagreements. We designed our bathroom ourselves and picked out most, if not all, the fixtures and finishes (tile, vanity, sconces, toilet, faucet, mirror, etc) ourselves. We consulted Dan about a few items before purchasing to make sure he was comfortable using the items we selected. We made sure that all the items were available before Dan actually planned to install them, and he did a good job letting us know his timeline for what needed to be available and when, and we coordinated in terms of who picked up the items (small items, we took care of, large bulky items he picked up in his truck). There was only one small hiccup with the mirror (the original one we ordered broke in transit to the supplier we purchased it from) but Dan was very flexible and able to get other stuff done while we were waiting for the replacement mirror so there was no downtime. Dan recommended a plumber and electrician to help us with both the bathroom work and some small projects in the kitchen we needed done as well. Both of them were great to work with. Dan also coordinated with our painter so that the bathroom walls could be painted before all the final fixtures were installed. I've uploaded photos so take a look at the before and after. I still think it's incredible what he was able to accomplish in such a short period of time, and every time we use our remodeled bathroom, we feel like we are in a 5-star hotel. Dan just completed our bathroom renovation and we could not be happier with how it came out. I met with several contractors before deciding to go with Continuum Tile based on the Yelp reviews and am so glad that I trusted my instincts. What I liked immediately is that Dan has experience in all aspects of construction- plumbing electrical, drywall, ect.. and after looking at our very old bathroom was able to give us a very comprehensive quote on what he would do and a very realistic time line of how long it would take. He was even able to keep our one and only toilet in the house available throughout the entire three weeks, including the demo; something that two other contractors told us would not be possible. He was very patient with all of our questions and minor changes even when I ordered the wrong tub fixture. His quote was very well outlined of what was included and what was not, which for myself, who has not done a renovation before, and was trying to stick to budget was really helpful. He was a consummate professional, always on time and we felt completely trustworthy that he would take good care of our home everyday while we were at work. He even enjoyed and took in stride our two "curious , and most likely annoying cats that came to visit him throughout the day. I chose an asymmetrical glass accent tile that was very challenging to install and he did an amazing job making it the showstopper of our bathroom. Dan recently finished a bathroom remodel project for me, which included the associated demo work, plus installation of a new bathtub with associated plumbing work. I was very happy with the look of the final product. Dan has excellent tile cutting skills and provides considerable value for the money. It was also very surprising how clean he was able to keep our house throughout the whole process, especially during the demo stage when things can easily get quite messy. Dan was easy to deal with, responsive to my requests, and took a client-oriented focus to running his business.
