the next day after drying 24 hours

I decided last minute to add a subway tiles backslash for my kitchen and I reached out to a number of vendors. Ronnie responded right away and gave me a very straight forward quote. One vendor (who shall not be named) quoted me 3x what Ronnie did, which is just a bit ridiculous. I called Ronnie and he was quick, responsive, listened to my requests and gave his input when asked or when appropriate. I was expecting a much longer timeline but Ronnie said he was wrapping up a project early and could come by the next day for a free consultation and could begin work that weekend or the following weekend, whichever worked better for me. Once we coordinated a start, Ronnie came in and immediately got to work. He basically worked 10 hours non-stop. Actually longer since he was up before 8am buying tiles that I wanted in the morning and arrived promptly to work. I'm pretty sure the only time he stopped was either to get more supplies from his car or to update me on progress. After 6-7 hours I had to force him to stop just to eat some pizza I bought for him since I saw him work right through lunch! Anyways the work was impeccable and the value is amazing. I highly, highly, highly recommend Ronnie for whatever tiling needs you have. He's been doing this for 30 years and it shows. Ronnie, thank you for your great handy work and I'll be calling you again in the future!

Bailey was very approachable and knowledgeable. He provided stylistic and customized insights to help us create great designs for both the kitchen and the bathrooms. Bailey is truly genuine to help the clients without any pushiness, so we felt very comfortable to rely on his advice. He helped us arrange for the kitchen cabinets, countertops, tiles, and many accessories, often following up with calls to confirm details with contractors. Everything turned out beautifully. Highly recommend!

KZ was one of the reasons my recent remodel finished in four weeks…read more I started at KZ early in the process after visiting a few other stores and feeling both underwhelmed by their selections and overwhelmed by figuring out what I actually needed. On that first visit I met Bailey, who ended up becoming a key part of the project. I came in with measurements from my contractor, rough layout ideas, and a general sense of what I wanted: drawers instead of mostly base cabinets, quartz countertops, and a way to turn a small, dysfunctional kitchen into something thoughtfully designed with proper prep space. Bailey took those requests and my contractor's initial mockups and developed a layout. I was immediately impressed by his thoughtfulness and attention to detail. He also included things I would not have known to ask for, including a blind corner pull out "peanut" cabinet that turned dead space into some of the most usable storage in the kitchen. He explained his decisions when asked and found solutions as needed, for example suggesting a microwave cabinet when I mentioned not knowing where to put that. I left excited about the project and hopeful it could actually come together. He was consistently responsive to my many questions afterward. He sent estimates for different options so I could compare costs, such as a 4-inch versus full-height backsplash, and shared renderings of the cabinet and countertop combination. Seeing the space rendered that early was a significant moment for me. His involvement continued well beyond placing the order. As the project progressed, Bailey made sure everything was delivered properly, communicated directly with my contractor, answered questions as they came up, kept suggesting ways to improve the project, and made sure everything was set up correctly for countertop templating. The fabricator, Rafael, was also excellent and did a beautiful job. He and Bailey suggested adding another slab of quartz so we could do a full waterfall on the exposed ends of the counter. I took their advice and I am very glad I did. It made a huge difference and made that part of the design feel complete. I was also happy with KZ's pricing and selection. I visited four cabinet and countertop stores, and KZ had the best overall selection I found. Their prices were extremely competitive without sacrificing features or quality. The cabinets have plywood boxes, soft-close doors and drawers, and full-extension drawers, and they arrived fully assembled rather than flat-packed. My contractor had specifically told me not to buy RTA cabinets and these were straightforward for him to install. All of my other interactions with KZ were positive too. Delivery drivers called ahead, other employees in the store were helpful, and the factory expedited part of my order for an additional charge when my fast schedule required it. One thing worth mentioning for anyone considering KZ is the type of experience they provide. This is not a full-service design firm where someone makes every selection and manages every detail for you. I had to be a little assertive on my first visit because there were a limited number of design/sales reps available, but once I connected with Bailey the experience was excellent. You will get the most out of KZ if you come in with measurements and some idea of what you want, are willing to look around and give input, and are okay following up with questions. When I did reach out, Bailey was very responsive. Some practical things to know: they do not offer financing, some costs such as fabrication are settled separately and in cash, and delivery is extra if you cannot pick up the order yourself. Mine was around $500 for 18 cabinets plus panels and hardware, delivered about an hour away. I think some of the savings come from this model, but it helps to have the right expectations. My entire remodel took about four weeks, including a full primary bathroom and extensive changes throughout the house, with the KZ order placed roughly one week before construction began. A lot of the credit goes to my excellent contractor, but KZ's responsiveness, timely deliveries, and efficient work were a major factor in keeping things moving. It was night and day compared with buying my other materials through large home improvement stores. When I had questions or concerns, it usually took a simple text to Bailey to resolve them. I am super happy with the finished kitchen and with my experience at KZ. I recommend them to anyone looking for cabinets or countertops, and I am especially grateful to Bailey and Rafael for how much care they put into my project.

We had been looking into doing a bathroom remodel for a few months and my husband had meticulously…read moreresearched the design that he wanted to implement as well as which tiling contractor would be the best vendor for us and he decided on Francisco and team at Kokopelli Tile. Francisco was very easy to work with - his preference was to call and speak to you on the phone for quicker communication and he would often make time to speak even later in the evening. He came out to our home at least a couple of times before we actually started doing any work just to get a sense of the space and to discuss with my husband what his expectations were. When the work commenced, there were typically 3 guys, Francisco included, that would come out to start the work, although not all 3 would stay throughout the day. In total, they probably came out 5 or 6 days over a couple of weeks, most of those being full days to get all the work done. We had them do the demo of our bathroom, reinforce the subfloor, and then get all the tile put in. Although there were some minor hiccups along the way, the final look of the bathroom is great and pretty much hits all the checkboxes of what we had in mind. As for what could be better - there were some small miscommunication instances, ie when they were putting in the tile, in order to get all the pieces in, they decided to use some tile from a box marked "broken". We had more tile coming in but since they wanted to get the job done that day, they chose to take tile out of this box. While Francisco said they only took the unbroken tile from that batch, we saw afterwards, that there were some imperfections in some of the tile they had chosen to use where it would have been our preference for them to wait for the new, unblemished tile that was coming in instead. In addition, as the guys had to reinforce our subfloor, we had made the assumption that they would make the floor level as before we commenced work, the floor was not level at all. After the work was done and my husband went into install the vanity himself, he noticed the floor was not level and when he asked Francisco about it, the latter said they had just chosen to follow the floor joyce instead of making the floor level, otherwise the door would get stuck. While we understand the reasoning behind his decision, it would have been nice for them to have communicated that rationale with us ahead of time instead of just doing it and not saying anything and for us to only find out about it after. It did cause some extra work on our end in terms of having to purchase shims to make the vanity level as well as sanding down some of the baseboards to make them fit.

I was also looking for countertops and their options left a lot to be desired. They were maybe slightly cheaper than the other place ($40 difference for a standard countertop size of 110" by 26") but way less options and didn't look as nice. Mostly they were just not that helpful and I also didn't love their selections. I left searching for other options pretty quickly. I think one reason to maybe come here is the prices but in my experience even those were higher and the quality and selection were worse. In addition, ideally you want someone who can actually help you figure out a layout and make you feel like you want to shop there and I didn't get that sense. Maybe I just had a bad experience but even though I came in having some idea of what I wanted, I definitely did not get the vibe that this was where I would find it.

Vitali and Alex work really really hard and long hours. There were some up sale items, but we picked which ones we wanted. Our vanity was in bad shape; so we updated the vanity, sink, backsplash and faucet. Alex quoted us a great price and offered to do tile flooring which would have made the bathroom even nicer, but we decided that the flooring would be fine. Maybe save that for the next remodel. Going through any type of remodel or home update is emotional and risky. We did a home remodel years back and that's when we learned you can really only choose two of the three: quality, cost, or speed. With Alex we were able to get close to all three.
