Having studied yoga on and off for a good 7 years, I've been through my fair share of teachers. Some I remember, some I don't. But one voice remains clear in my mind to this day, and that's Becky Klett's. Even now, having not seen her in years I still hear her reminding me to align my feet, rotate my hips and isometrically pull my legs together. Her unwavering focus on alignment and proper approach to difficult poses continues to help me in classes where other teachers fail to mention the dangers. This knowledge has kept me from ever physically hurting my body in a yoga class, and it's invaluable. I also like the light and unobtrusive spiritual touch that Becky brings to classes. Regardless of spiritual background, everyone would like to leave a yoga class feeling more centered, more calm, more focused. I always got that in her classes, and I always appreciated the effort she put into making a personal dedication to each class. While never needing them myself, I also saw her give appropriate adjustments for students with injuries or other physical issues. Yoga teachers abound these days; truly gifted ones are a rare gem. Make use of the ones that you find, in the time that you have.

There is a clearly listed rule in the fitness area that children under the age of 13 are not…read moreallowed. This rule is regularly broken and not enforced at all. I just watched a young couple allow their child (maybe age 4-5?) climb all over the lifting racks as they biked (with their back to the child) and/or sat on their phone. They even adjusted the safety racks, j-hooks, and bench so she could climb about more. Didn't reset anything when they were done. I'm glad she didn't fall. Not sure what the point of the rule is if it isn't enforced.

Kelli's wonderful thai massage techniques helped relieve hip and low back pain that has been with me for months, and Kenzie has an intuitive gift for knowing just the right level of pressure to help with sore spots and tension in my arms and legs. Mind you, not one of the employees have ever addressed me about issues. They would always say hello, and I would carry on about my work out. I never talked to anyone, bothered anyone, and I always cleaned up after myself. I brought my own mat once and was told the policy, and I quickly apologized and returned it to the car. So for that I was very confused to get a call from a man talking to as if I am a child, and proceeded accuse me of constant rude behavior from previous employees. My boyfriend and I are both minority people, and were the only minority people in there anytime we went so I just cant help to wonder if the issue was never with me and always a personal problem. Not to mention this man called another location I go to, to request I be banned. Long story short, profiling and racism is still very much alive. 0/10
