Signing up for auto pay is a huge risk, as the Owner is extremely unreasonable about cancellation, even for medical reasons. We were charged for two additional months beyond our cancellation notice, simply because our cancellation notice feel slightly outside the 30 day notification period. Strongly recommend you avoid this location and go somewhere else.

My mother suffers from PTSD so when she called to tell them that she no longer had an income to pay for her membership, firstly, it took over a week for her to actually get someone on the phone after asking to be called back. Only for them to tell her that she, MY ELDERLY MOTHER, would need to come IN PERSON to cancel her membership!! When she informed me of how panicked she felt having to do this after over a week of already trying to cancel, I decided to give them a call. They were extremely unpleasant to speak to and adamant that MY ELDERLY MOTHER, riddled with panic over this situation, would still have to come in person to cancel. After hanging up the phone, I informed my mother to call her bank and block payments, i will add, this was after multiple attempts by Hotworx of trying to charge her card after she had begged them not to. MY ELDERLY MOTHER, BEGGED them not to charge her card. Today, writing this review, it is months later at this point and my mother is still being harassed by this company. They finally JUST canceled her membership after letting her know that it is not due to 'Lack of Payment', but "due to violation of MEMBER RULES, NOTICES, DISCLOSURES & LIABILITY STATEMENTS. Heather- owner, HOTWORX Argyle" EDIT: After a shockingly swift reply to my review, by the owner, I feel the need to clarify; I am NOT Laura. I am Lauras daughter. My review is based on MY experience dealing with YOUR business. I will not allow you to have my review removed based on the fact that I, personally, did not have the membership discussed in this review. I PERSONALLY dealt with your staff and was extremely DISAPPOINTED by the behavior I WITNESSED !

The first day we have them all or info and we were told that we would not be charged for those couple classes. My husband hurt his knee during the one week freebie (needed 3 mths PT, scans, the whole nine to fix). We told the instructor that we decided it wasn't for us 4 days into the free week. My husband opened the app and it instructed him to accept something in order to see what was on the app. Apparently that signed us up. We called the instructor again and told him we were not going to do the classes and my husband had to see a doctor. He told him he had to contact CS which was a joke and uploaded a letter from my husband doctor. They said they cancelled his membership but would not give him a refund. I just now checked the CC transaction history and they have been charging us since oct of last year..... During Covid (6mths)..... unbelievable. We don't really use the CC so we didn't think to look up the transactions. Now I'm going to have to call the bank and report it as fraud. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO DURING THE TRIAL WEEK!!!!! Update: Beware.... Reported it to the bank and have requested a refund about 20 times from Camp Gladiator with only computer-generated responses. Made phone calls and still nothing. This company is a fraud save your money and join a reputable gym with an actual trainer. 152 complaints on the better Business bureau website of similar grievances. Even did the online chat and the woman admitted that they cannot give more than one month refund for any reason... Even fraud. Horrible horrible business model.

I never attended a regular class, so I can only review pt and the location itself. My trainer and I focused on endurance and strength training. We never did long distance running. Since I had little/no running experience it ended up being a bit of an experiment. We focused a lot on nutrition as well. One of our sessions was even at the Sprouts market. It sounds kind of silly but ended up being super helpful. I took part in the Whole 30 challenge during this time. The location isn't the best. My workouts were primarily at night, and since it got dark early after time change it made me a little nervous running at night. It's not well lit down that street. I ended up asking Niki to go through and watch me run on the other side of the building for safety. I always felt encouraged and supported by the trainers and other cfers. There's lots of excitement built up around the CF community and my experience here coincided.
