There is a clearly listed rule in the fitness area that children under the age of 13 are not…read moreallowed. This rule is regularly broken and not enforced at all. I just watched a young couple allow their child (maybe age 4-5?) climb all over the lifting racks as they biked (with their back to the child) and/or sat on their phone. They even adjusted the safety racks, j-hooks, and bench so she could climb about more. Didn't reset anything when they were done. I'm glad she didn't fall. Not sure what the point of the rule is if it isn't enforced.

Kelli's wonderful thai massage techniques helped relieve hip and low back pain that has been with me for months, and Kenzie has an intuitive gift for knowing just the right level of pressure to help with sore spots and tension in my arms and legs. Mind you, not one of the employees have ever addressed me about issues. They would always say hello, and I would carry on about my work out. I never talked to anyone, bothered anyone, and I always cleaned up after myself. I brought my own mat once and was told the policy, and I quickly apologized and returned it to the car. So for that I was very confused to get a call from a man talking to as if I am a child, and proceeded accuse me of constant rude behavior from previous employees. My boyfriend and I are both minority people, and were the only minority people in there anytime we went so I just cant help to wonder if the issue was never with me and always a personal problem. Growing up I've always been a big guy, about 6'8" and always hovering around 300lbs. As a athlete,…read moremy build fit the work. As I stopped playing sports I began to notice how I looked and began to hate my body more and more. I would start a vicious cycle of working out, dieting, and anything else to lose weight quick. It was never satisfying. There was always more weight to lose, always less food to eat. Sick and tired of that I sought out help. Through some personal counceling and meeting with April and Matt at The Shed, I was able to process properly that I have to take care of my body yes, but losing weight wouldn't grant me happiness. Through proper training, eating, and discipline, I could be the best version of myself. That's all I wanted. Currently I'm 4 weeks into their 6 Week Program and I'm becoming obsessed with taking care of my body! Training regularly, fueling my body properly, and pushing myself harder to grow stronger everyday. I'm not trying to lose weight for the sake of losing weight. I am disciplined to being better and feeling good, (and as a by product to that, I'm definitely losing fat and gaining muscle.) I am the strongest I've ever been. The healthiest as well.
