I attended a vision board workshop led by Destiny W. recently, and it was amazing! The workshop consisted of a yoga series/flow, an opportunity to create a personal vision board, and then yoga nidra to complete the workshop. I will address each portion. Attendance: The workshop was well attended, but there was still space so I did not feel like I was too close to another person. I did not know other participants, but had met the woman leading the workshop (Destiny W). I felt welcomed into the space (so it was not weird if you showed up without a group of friends). Vision Board Workshop: I have never done a vision board before, and I am not a person who normally shares alot, so this was out of my comfort zone. I figured I would try it as a "new year, new focus situation." I am also not very creative/artsy. There was no pressure to share, but people could if they wanted. There were more than enough supplies (and there were cool supplies, too), so there was more than enough for the exceptionally creative and those who needed assistance in sorting their thoughts. Destiny (she led the workshop) walked around and chatted with each person but the conversations were not loud or intrusive so people could be present in the space and also focus on their own thoughts. Yoga Portion of the Workshop: I have practiced yoga before, and even at the old Samatone location (before it was purchased and relocated). I have not practiced in a session led by Destiny W. so that was new. I have also not practiced yoga in a couple of years (life got in the way), so I was not particularly flexible coming into this session. Destiny is a very thorough and calming presence in the studio. Some teachers talk too much, but she does not. There was enough direction to follow coherently, and the way that Destiny described yoga poses/steps made sense to me. It was not all explained in yoga words (some of which I do not know/understand), and there was time to actually do the pose (some teachers move quickly and I feel like I am sprinting to get from a down dog to a warrior). It was very obvious that she had given thought to which poses we were going to do, and in what order. This was not slapped together, and I appreciated that flow. Because this was a workshop, we completed certain yoga series/poses and then took a moment to respond to guided questions to help create our vision boards. There was enough time to do the pose, stop, and then write down a couple of words to help us when we got to the vision board portion. If we would not have done this part, I am not sure I would have been able to put a thought together coherently. The yoga definitely centered my thoughts to what I was supposed to be doing. The music was good. It was more animated during the vision board portion (which was good), and the background sound/music during yoga was neither too loud nor overpowering. I was still able to hear what was going on and also not hear the "extra" sounds of other people in the room. Yoga Nidra: Um, wow. I love yoga nidra. If you have not experienced this type of yoga, you are missing out. I think we might have done 5-10 minutes of yoga nidra at the end, but I also am unsure because I checked out for at least half of it. It was a very nice way to end the workshop. Studio space: The studio is very clean, bright/welcoming, and organized. It was easy to check in, sign the waiver, and find a space in the studio for my mat. There are more than enough cubbies/storage for bags, shoes, etc., and the facilities (bathrooms) are clean. The studio smells nice, or does not smell like a bunch of people sweat regularly in there or like feet. In between the workshop and the next class, the owner and Destiny were cleaning and making sure the room was ready for the next group. The studio owner (Rhonda, I think) was there and very nice/welcoming. Some studios have a clique vibe, but this place does not. There was a bit of everyone in this studio, so it is an inclusive place. That is nice. I would return for regular yoga, or for more workshops. read more

You'll have to excuse me because I'm full of endorphins after this morning's incredible hour of power at Samatone! It is tucked inside of a shopping center and 5:45 AM was perfect for my busy bee schedule. I have a Class Pass so I signed a waiver and settled in. The first thing I noticed upon entering the 90 degree room were the padded floors! My body was oh so grateful, doing yoga on these floors as opposed to hard ones made my joints extremely happy. We quickly started the yoga flow and I was sweating within about 5 minutes. It was so nice to start my day with this and warm up the body especially after teaching evening classes at the gym. They have showers also and kombucha/water in the fridge for a small fee. Bring your own yoga towel and yoga mat. They have blocks as well and will encourage you to use them. I love vinyasa and focusing on my breathing while working in a hot room so I will be returning for this one. The early classes are smaller which allows for more attention to detail. I also love being adjusted and etc to make sure I'm safely doing the right thing. Frankie was super sweet and also pushed us to make sure we were actively doing poses and not going thru the motions. Suizie may have had to step away, but I can feel and hear her vibes here still. I am an old student returning to my practice and couldn't be happier (I do miss the rainbow wall, but I see that the people can bring their own ) the variations in the instructors is great, the individual attention is fantastic. My schedule is limited so I have not had the chance to experience them all. The combinations that I have been through with the afternoon power classes (don't be scared, there is no shame in beginning, only empowerment) with Melanie, Stacy, and Shannon have started me off on the path of wellness again. I have also started sticking around for a second round for a deeper experience, from the Restoritave yoga with Holly (this one is really freeing mentally, let the garbage go) to the sound bath session with Destiny (pure relaxation is all I can put into words). Lastly but not least! Do not miss the beginner class, this is a good chance to slow down and smell the roses, and get some extra slow stretches in when you are warmed up. First, a little background... my affair with yoga started years ago. I've been to different practices all over from bikram and vinyasa to Iyengar. Throughout all those years I never really felt like I 'got' anything out of yoga except for some new phrases to use in my vocabulary. Tiny disclaimer: I'm an athletic/competitive type of girl. If I don't have pools of sweat dripping, heart-rate thumping and breathless, then I just don't consider it a 'good' work-out. So, even though I've been doing yoga for close to a decade, it just never stuck because I wasn't feeling or seeing an immediate relief. Yoga, in my false perception, was for sissies and hula-hooping hippies. So, it wasn't until last fall when training for marathons and triathlons that I decided to revisit yoga (yet again) to try and stretch out all my tense muscles. Plus, the flexibility that you gain from yoga helps with your running form and the strength helps when you're biking or swimming - so I was told. After a few friends told me about Suze Curtis and how the class will "literally kick your ace" I was intrigued. I like a good butt-kick - obviously. AND boy did I get it handed to me. What I love about Suze Curtis' yoga classes is that they're intense. It's power yoga mixed with vinyasa flow and everything moves pretty quickly in a room that's heated at around 88 degrees F. The floor is also matted making it challenging to balance. Everyone is also very nice and welcoming. Suze herself is very tough love but in a "it's for the best" kind of way. Another plus is that the studio offers day-care and a cute yoga store. The cons are that most of the classes are played with a pre-recorded routine by Suze. There is an instructor there to correct poses but mainly it's Suze coming through the speakers. Though, there are a lot of different routines. That's a good thing since your body doesn't get used to doing only practice. One other BIG note is that they really embrace "letting out your expressive side" so every so often you'll hear people let out a HUGE sigh. So loud that I just want to tell them to "get a room." But, I don't because I'm holding a really painful pose so instead I chuckle to myself. After all these years of a love-hate relationship with yoga, Suze Curtis' Dynamic Power Yoga is the only studio that I've really fallen in love with. read more

Went here this morning for the first time after buying a groupon and I was so impressed. I did not realize that I was going to the owners class and I was in for a surprise. She practices tough love, but is so nice about making adjustments and suggestions. I really got a lot out of her class because she pushed me further than I thought I could go. Honestly I did get a little nauseous and dizzy several times, but by the middle of the class I was feeling much better and pushed myself and my mind to do more than I thought that I could. I definitely will be back because of this fact alone. I need someone to push me beyond my comfort level and her class does this! I am so glad that I got the groupon as I need these 10 practices to help me destress and refocus. Thank you!! read more

I have been practicing yoga since 2012 at many different yoga studios. Gradually, I got tired of all the fast paced aerobics/ gymnastics aspects of western yoga styles. I wanted to find the real yoga, as Krishnamurti describes, the practice that teaches to breathe properly, to awaken, to" join the higher with the lower". I found it at Samatone and so grateful to be a member there. Suze, who owns it, truly knows what the real yoga is. And she passes it along to her students and teachers as well. I always leave a class with a new piece of wisdom and understanding. It's not just a class, it's a beautiful, welcoming community that helped me to fall in love with yoga practice all over again. Any yogi knows you cant rate yoga on a 5 point scale...why? because yoga is a reflection of yourself on a given day but I understand, you're reading my review to learn more about this studio. Pro: Suzie the studio owner teaches several times per week. If you go, try her class first to get the best experience. She is an amazing teacher. Words can't capture her but I see Funny, light hearted, caring to her students, incredibly giving of her physical energy and her adjustments will make your body feel like it never has before. I hear she is one of Dallas' original power yoga teachers. Tons of experience yet so humble! Con: My preference is a studio that teaches students to respect quiet. When I hit my mat, it's mediation time. I'm able to eventually block out the people who talk but oh my, I've never experienced a louder bunch of people in a yoga studio. Con: Beyond the loud students, sometimes class is loud depending on the teacher. They all teach to a recording of Suzie leading the class but it's very annoying to me to hear the prompt twice. For example, the recording says inhale then the teacher says inhale....yeah...I heard it the first time. It's constant talking. Sure, I've strengthened my practice by learning how to block out the voices. A couple of the teachers have soothing voices that make it a blissful practice but mostly I feel like I'm in boot camp being yelled at. Recommendation: If you like blissful - try Jen S. Her voice lulled me into another world while I practiced. One of my top 5 practice experiences yet. Con: At least one teacher is not mindful of her music choice and class flow. It seems that there is always some amped up song when we are holding postures which requires a steady mind and breath not music that agitates the senses. Who knows, maybe the studio not the teacher chooses music and I just think her classes have the rock concert music and maybe some people think they like the amped up music. Pro: The temperature is always perfectly warm enough but not hot. Pro: Lots of mirrors Con: Lots of mirrors Pro: The floor is very padded so my feet feel like they are getting stronger faster because it takes more effort to balance. Pro: The practice is extremely physical so my body feels like it's getting strong at a faster pace than other practices Pro: A good size retail store inside with yoga stuff priced normally. Con: No pranayama, meditation or chanting - Not enough yoga philosophy to feed my soul as I practice. *mostly pure asana. Pro: A technique called toning is used during practice. I dig it. Overall, I like the studio and make it work for me. They encourage me to explore my practice and push me in new ways. I am grateful I tried this studio and will continue to return here for practice. Yoga should be relaxing and enjoyable. This 'power yoga' type class was in a heated and crowded room. Not a good blend for me. Be careful if you try yoga here. In 'hot' yoga your muscles are able to stretch more so you can go deeper into the moves. That is great unless you are going too deep and making an injury worse. You would not know until it's to late. I have enjoyed meditation workshops offered at this location though. read more

I checked out Samatone Yoga by using a Groupon, and I am so glad that I did. I was a little skeptical because I have done hot yoga before and found the temperature to be way too hot, I was pleasantly surprised. The temp was warm and not overly hot. The flooring is highly cushioned, and there are no bad smells as I had experience in other hot yoga studios. The instructors are attentive and inspiring while providing guidance during your practice. I HIGHLY recommend this studio for not only the experienced, but for the beginner who has never tried hot yoga before and is curious. The studio provides a very safe environment on so many levels, not only COVID safe, but a safe environment to go out of your comfort zone and try something new to add to your fitness routine. read more

I went in for some information. A few people were starting to wAlk in for a class. I was waiting to ask what kind if yoga was offered, and the lady just told me to grab some flyers. Just no warmth or interest in talking to someone who could possibly give then more business. I didn't feel welcome at all. Plus they charge $3 for people to use their old, cheap yoga mats! Bought a groupon and was told I had until October 19th to use it. They made it expire on Sept 27th. Other than the matted floors, this studio doesn't really need instructors. The music they play has this unsoothing voice guide you through a flow. Completely thrown off by this and had a negative impact on my practice. This is not a studio for everyone. Their teaching encourages people to moan, groan, let it all out and trust me - people do not hold back. Suze's is a great yoga teacher, her cues are very detailed and spot on! Very effective cuing and gives me more awareness in my body as I hold each pose. She offers basic/foundational postures and point out different areas to focus on in each pose where I learn more and more from her in each class. Samatone is a great yoga studio. Everyone is super friendly and the studio is large, clean, and has a great, padded floor (which isn't always the case, as regular yogis will know). There are three or four classes every day, morning, noon, and evening, so there's always an option available. Classes are 75 minutes and the poses are held a bit longer than most of the other studios I've ever attended, which is a plus in my book. The classes seem a bit smaller, too, and the instructors give a lot of personal directions, so check your ego at the door. They don't cue many arm balances, which are my favorite part of yoga; however, there are always a couple of free minutes during class to play around. They don't provide mats or towels, so you're on your own with those. Bottom line: Samatone is one of the best yoga studios I have attended, and it's especially good if you are serious about improving your practice. read more

I love this studio! The best Yoga for you is the yoga you like best. One of my favorite things to do is visit yoga studios in other cities and hear what about yoga inspires them.. My favorite studio is where I live Samatone Yoga by DPYP! in Addison.. It incorporates heat, vinyasa flow, alignment, power , sound & vibration all into 90 minutes of challenging yoga. This is a studio I can be honest with how I am feeling every time I'm on my mat. You don't feel judged in any way, which is refreshing, because we all have our issues we are working through day in and day out. You "feel" comfortable enough to challenge yourself or take breaks when needed. It's "your" class so there is no ego to perform for others. Some studios are so quiet I feel like my breath is loud. There you are aloud to make a releasing "ah" sound when it rises up emotional & physically. Laughter is a release of endorphins so they encourage to smile, laugh and "feel". . We stuff our feelings away to hide them enough. Our mat is our safe place to heal. I also like the pre-sequenced flow because the teachers are focused on the yogis and not the sequence. You receive hands on adjustments, you hear information on pose benefits, you are shown advancements and modificaitons, They care about you growing and understanding your practice. I want to know what each pose is doing for my body. It is a yoga class and a therapy class all wrapped in one! read more

My husband and I tried this place at 9:30 today. When we arrived the lady at the front desk signed us in and then said, "ok you're done!". We stood there as if to say... now what? I asked her what liniage of yoga this was, since the website never seemed to mention this. Classes have names like "Love and LIght" or "Gratitude" with no class description. The woman said, "Suze has pretaped 10-12 different classes. We play one while the teacher helps with adjustments. If Suze herself teaches the class then we do whatever original flow she has in store" Wow. This didn't answer my question at all and instead added more questions. I decided to just follow the others hoping we were all going to the yoga room. My husband and I have a lot of experience with yoga so I didn't mind the confusion up front, but I felt bad for anyone new to yoga. There was NO guidance, welcome or just basic info about where to go. The room was big and there was more than enough room for everyone, however I found out Suze would not be teaching the calss and am guessing that if she had been, the room would've been more crowded. They say it's heated to 85 degrees, but it just felt like there was no air conditioning on to me. I practice yoga at Sunstone, where the heat is 98 degrees. My way of thinking is that 85 isn't hot enough to accomplish much muscular benefit from heating, so why bother heating it at all? Why not just leave it cold? DeAnn taught the class. I found out why the front desk lady couldn't tell me what liniage this was. Basically this kind of yoga isn't any liniage. We went through familar postures like warrior 1, 2, 3 and down dog, but there was NO explaination of alignment given. As a yoga teacher I was alarmed with some dangerous transitions (going directly from Iyengar triangle into plank, could injure the low back... lifting up on our toes then being instructed to keep our feet apart and squeeze our knees together and lower down slowly until the thighs are parallel can injure the knees). Not only was the flow dangerous, it was uncreative and redundant. Even this wouldn't have bothered me if the teacher was giving verbal instruction on how to align the pose safely. Instead she would say things like "feel your heart shining and let yourself release" "do what you can and if you can't do it, just go into childs pose" these phrases sound great but do nothing to teach a student how to enter and exit a posture safely. My husband has sciatica, and needed to stop halfway through from a flare up caused by this dangerous flow. I was wondering why everyone else wasn't having injury so I stopped and looked around, and this is when I noticed that no one in the room was in any kind of strength or alignment. Again, as a teacher I was mortified. However I do understand. In a sense, the only way to prevent injury would be to back off on the depth, strength and alignment in the postures. In this way, students could come for years to this place and never learn a thing. My husband and I both left in a rotten mood with low back pain. This studio believes that vocalization and sound release during yoga is theraputic for the body. There is a great deal of random moaning and other noises coming from the students. Loud moaning through the whole class. Having practiced at Tsada for a year, I am used to vocalization and see it's benefits, but this seemed over the top, silly, and at times annoying. The floor is not hard, but instead that same texture as a gynasium mat. This makes balancing much harder and strenous. Totally unecessary. There is only reason this studio got 2 stars instead of 1, and that is the fact that I never took Suze's class. Perhaps DeAnn had never taught before. Still, I wouldn't reccomend this place. Studios like this are watering down yoga and ruining it for the rest of us. read more

What can I say about Suze's Yoga? It helped me stay positive in a negative work environment for two years (when I finally had to leave honest coworkers confided in me that they couldn't believe I lasted on the job that long.). Something I learned from yoga is that, with the proper breath and mindset I can survive anything (but the real rhetorical question is do I really want to put myself through the stress ALL THE TIME!). I think that people have a negative reaction to yoga, because it is a mirror. It exposes OUR weaknesses and forces us to face them. If we are not ready to take an honest look at ourselves, it can be frightening. Therefore, it is a humbling experience. I do not have a rail thin, model body type, but yoga taught me to love myself and except myself for what I am. When people comment on my body now,"Oh you could lose a few pounds, blah-blah-blah," I just shrug, because I actually know exactly what my body can do, because nothing has challenged it more than Suze's Yoga. The best shape I've ever been in my life has been in here. This studio and its Yogis will always hold a special place in my heart. read more

I have been looking for a good yoga studio to practice yoga and have been trying different ones. DPYP had reasonable pricing so I thought I would give it a try. I went in there for my first visit and purchased one month unlimited and I could have not been more disappointed (now I know why their pricing is so reasonable compared to other studios I have practiced at.). When I first walked in my experience was good. The girl at the counter gave me a brief tour and I went on my way. The floors are padded which I thought was a little wired but thought it might be nice when doing certain. Then the class began............. I was absolutely SHOCKED when the instructor walks in and presses play to begin a recording that will teach the ENTIRE class. At first I thought it might just be for the warm up.. but nope there is no warm up and the recording doesn't stop until the end. If I wanted to practice yoga by listening to a recording then I would of stayed at home and practiced for FREE. Sure the instructor walks around and helps you to realign and get in the position the correct way but I still don't see the real point of them even being there when they aren't actually teaching. My biggest problem with the recording is that I can't solely concentrate on my yoga practice. Between the moaning and groaning and the instructor talking you can hardly even hear what the recording is saying. This forces you to look around to see what every one else is doing (the complete opposite point of yoga) There is no real flow between poses you just kind of move from one to the other however you can get there. There are also no release/realignment poses that help keep you from injury after doing deep twist or head stands. They didn't even show you how to do a head stand and other more advance poses in the proper way. The recording just lest you go at it. The instructor walks around and helps a couple of people but doesn't get to them all. So if you are new or haven't done it in a while you are most likely doing it incorrectly and can seriously injury yourself. It also doesn't give, show, or tell you how to take a pose to a new level when you are ready. At least when i watch a video at home for FREE it shows you how to do a pose properly and gives you options. I go to a yoga studio to practice yoga so I can learn from different instructors and their experiences. Every instructor brings their own style, technique, and energy to the practice. This is one reason why I love yoga so much. The fact that the owner "Suzie" doesn't want or allow this is mind blowing. This studio may be a good option for a beginner or for someone who isn't serious about practicing yoga but if you are wanting to challenge yourself and grow as a Yogi this place is NOT for you. RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS STUDIO........INFORM NEW STUDENTS THAT ALMOST ALL CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY A RECORDING. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT YOU SHOULD LET EVERYONE KNOW BEOFRE THEY COMMIT TO A FULL MONTH. It may be for some people but def not me. OK. Something is off. I just happened to be on yelp screen and used it to look up phone number for this studio to confirm start time and saw it's rated as 3 stars... that was a complete shock. I've been coming here for a year and this studio is like no other yoga studio. Everyone operates as a family - instructors, employees, customers - I haven't had a single negative experience and I know it's general consensus from all others. Suze's way is unique so it may not fit all yogis but what she did for me and many others have made me a customer for live. I came here on a coupon deal and I'm hooked for good. She made me want it, miss it, must have it... Highly, highly recommend it. read more

I would strongly advise any person who truly is interested in practicing yoga to NOT go to this studio. I just moved to town and have been studying and practicing yoga for a couple of years now. I decided to try out this studio because it was close to my house and their website had some convincing testimonials, however upon arriving I quickly realized this place is a gimmick. The "instructor" is actually just the person who pushes play on the pre-recorded tape, but has a full on microphone headset so she can say things like "let your spirit grow" and "feel the joy of the position" to the class while she basically does laps around the room, not correcting poses or giving any true yoga instruction at all. She walked into the room and started with "Today we are doing number 4" in which the rest of the brainwashed class groaned. Apparently 4 isn't a favorite. Everyone seemed to have this routine memorized even down to the ridiculously exaggerated groans and sighs, which completely mock the true purpose of cleansing breaths. The back row of the room is reserved for people who need to leave early and have permission to miss shavasana, again in any true yoga practice this would be discouraged not cushioned. The flow was dangerously constructed with no regard to safe counterposes to positions or crucial alignment. There was no mention or focus on pranayama, which is one of the key limbs of yoga, and should never be disregarded. I question if the "instructor" at this studio even knows the word pranayama. Sure, this place will provide you a hot room to sweat out toxins and a decent workout, but don't be fooled, this is not yoga. I don't believe you can practice yoga through a pre-recorded tape. Yoga is not letting out embarrassing sighs to try and one up your neighbor. Yoga is not being able to do down dog. Yoga is not some cheesy instructor with fancy equipment shouting "the energy is life." This place is a gimmick and will only teach you an artificial version of yoga. read more

If you're new to yoga, this is the place for you. This has been my base studio for he last year and has literally transformed my life for the positive. I am the healthiest I have been in my entire life, both mentally and physically, and it all started because I committed to practicing at samatone yoga. This is an awesome studio for a very reasonable price. Where can you practice unlimited heated yoga for $59 per month??? Nowhere..... My husband and I previously went to DPYP until I could no longer attend for health reasons. I have this endocrine condition that will not allow me to tolerate heat, especially intense heat. Yes, I live in "hot" Dallas and it's rough on me! So there may be a move for us in the near future to somewhere cooler..... But, in the meantime, my husband loves Dynamic Power Yoga Plus and he practices yoga 3 to 4 times a week. He's a previous MI patient as well and was right back at his yoga in 2 weeks! Yes, it's located in a strip mall kind of center, but an upscale one at that in a lovely area of Addision, just around the corner from Mary Kay. You can yoga, shower, spiff yourself up and be at a nice restaurant with cockails all in the same neighborhood, on the same road. Now, that's convenience!!! Plus, you're going to love Suze and her staff. They are so much fun and very talented yoga masters. One thing I like about DPYP is that everyone is close knit, know each other and tend to have fun outside of class. Check it out, you have nothing to lose. You might even have a bit of fun. I've been going to DPYP for about a year and a half and cannot begin to fully express my gratitude at how this powerful practice has transformed my life. I'm "older", overweight and working at getting into shape. But, I come away from my practices with so much more than having had a great workout and super sweaty clothes! I leave with a deep sense of appreciation for the new openings that I've created, more self-acceptance and a more focused mind. I can see where the vocalizations (or, "sound and vibration therapy", as Suze calls them) might be annoying for newcomers. Seems that on my first practice, I thought them a bit strange but decided not to be too judgemental about them. It wasn't long before I joined in and find it to be really beneficial to just let all of those pent up emotions out. And I've found that focusing vibrations on a blocked area really helps it to release. Suze has developed her own unique form of yoga and has studied various disciplines; I'm not sweating her pedigree! She is a treasure, part drill sergeant, part den mother and sage yogini. New styles of yoga are being introduced all of the time. I think that there is something in various forms of yoga for everyone. If one does not find the right fit at DPYP, then my hope is that they may find a yoga home that is more suitable for them. I've found all of the instructors at DPYP to be inspirational, supportive and helpful. I don't think that I've ever been in a class where they did not help me with alignment or assistance in bettering a pose. I love that each of them shares their own unique personalities and styles with us and I truly appreciate their gifts. I do periodically take special classes and meditation workshops at another studio, because I enjoy broadening my experiences. But, my yoga home will always be with Suze's studio. read more

Best yoga ever. Instructors take a genuine interest in you and your practice! Good difficulty level -- hard, but accessible to all levels.

I really like this class. The room is warm but not crazy hot. There is a variety of people there, so you are not surrounded by only pros. (I am NOT a pro.) You get a great sweat. Yeah there is definitely moaning and exhilations, but these people use yoga as a stress release. LET IT OUT. I like the whimsy of this group. I have done yoga at rec centers and this feels more spiritual. I would definitely recommend it to friends. Also, the pricing options are great. A lot of flexibility at a reasonable price. read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I went to my first class yesterday and loved it. I've never sweat that much in my life or felt more refreshed after a yoga class. The girl at the front was extremely nice and even showed me around the studio after checking me in and introduced me to the instructor. There are people of all ages, beginners and advanced yoga practicers. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, being a beginner. I didn't mind suze's prerecorded track for the class, I thought it gave the instructor more time to walk around and make sure everyone's poses were correct. read more

I beat my body up for years with gymnastics, roller derby and boxing. Who knew Samatone yoga was harder? Try it out and you'll come back. Love this cool yoga studio with its positive energy, hippie vibe. I love the padded flooring and the music playing during. I have felt very supported by the instructors, everyone there seems to be very nice. I was used to sunstone, but I couldn't take that much heat anymore. This studio is a little warm, but just enough to really relax my muscles and I feel like I make progress each time I go. read more

I couldn't agree more with Elizabeth. Although I am not a teacher, i thought the transitions were odd and slightly painful. I hated the taped lessons. So impersonal and not geared towards the level of the people in the room. If I wanted to have an experience like that I would stay at home and do a dvd workout instead. Additionally, the moaning and groaning was awful!! There are so many better places out there, I will never go back. read more

Yes it's hot in there and the yoga is awesome. They have longer sessions available along with a lunch ones. Professional and experienced. I simply love this place. It's a very unique approach to yoga. And you can even bring your baby there,there is babysitter available upon request. read more

This yoga studio is awesome. I have studied yoga for over 10 years at various studios across the DFW metroplex in various styles of traditional and non-traditional yoga. Suze's Dynamic Power Yoga Plus is like NO other studio you have experienced. One of my favorite things about it is that it takes the best attributes of a few different traditional styles and combines them with releasing sound and vibration (stress) for an amazing experience you can't get anywhere else.
