So, I have gotten into the habit lately of hitting up a yoga class of some sort in the evenings after a long day at work, and before teaching my class in the early mornings. Thankfully, ClassPass has made this so much easier to switch it UP! As a part time fitness instructor with a very strong routine, I constantly find myself craving variety. This place has been on my hit list for a while and I was so happy to be able to finally go last night! And boy, am I glad I did. I tried the hot vinyasa class with Lesa and it was 60 minutes of hot and sweaty bliss. The room was packed and the VYBE was jumping! I was warmly greeted and even though I arrived a few minutes before class Lesa greeted me happily and showed me the ropes. They have towels and water/beverages for purchase. BYO yoga mat but they have those as well. The salt lamps in the studio were a beautiful touch and so were the essential oils. I parked my mat pretty close to the diffuser so I was LOVING the aromatherapy while I got my yoga on. Lesa's class was a booty kicker but she also broke it down and provided modifiers for those of us who aren't so limber but aspire to be (raises hand). Blame my tight endurance athlete hamstrings. At the end of the 60 minutes they provide you with essential oil infused cold towels. The Lakeside area is the perfect location, surrounded by luxury living as well as an abundance of retail shops. The community seems very tight knit here as well. Thankful I was able to come here and cannot wait to use my ClassPass to return for another hot class soon and very soon!! read more

This place was exactly what I was looking for. I am a hot yoga junkie and go 4x a week when at home. I work out when I travel but haven't been able to find a hot yoga studio on the road until now. This spot was awesome. I took the yoga flow class and I took their HITT-Yasa class which was a hitt-style workout with yoga mixed in. Both classes were great and they had modifications and add-ons so the classes were truly for everyone. What was also really great was they had a full locker room with showers and towels and the shower was actually really nice too with a stoned floor. read more

Love the teachers here and the infrared heat is the real deal. Jo Stokes is the owner and lead instructor and she's the best in DFW...possibly the nation. Stacy has HIIT vinyasa combo classes that torch calories and change bodies. Definitely make this place you new favorite spot to catch a class even if you are just visiting. Although everyone was very nice and polite at 8:30 on Sunday, the class itself was ok. The instructor was a little all over the place with the postures and backwards with her directions, so it was hard to follow. I'm an experienced student and the names of the postures were also different and confusing. There was an unpleasant smell around the floor- could have been the cleaner but it was distracting. There are no mirrors in this studio and the floor space allowed per mat wasn't enough to spread your arms out to the side. Not sure if I'll return to check another instructor or not. read more

I am new to Texas and am checking out yoga studios. This is the first place I have visited and they definitely set the bar high. I met my friends for a 5:30am Monday morning class, and I was so excited to know that they offer EARLY sessions! It was a hot flow class, which is my favorite. Your first class is free, which is very generous. It has been a while since I have taken yoga, I was very tight so some of the poses were more challenging to me. The flow was slower than what I am used to, but it was also nice. I LOVE the cool towels with essential oils at the end of practice! The restrooms are gender neutral here, they have 2 very nice showers that lock for showering/changing. However, I made the mistake of assuming they had a hairdryer, so guess who went to work with wet hair! Oh well. I was too happy after a solid yoga class to care. Since I live about 30 minutes away, I don't think I will become a regular here, but I do like Urban Vybe! I bet the other classes they offer are pretty cool too. read more

I had just started doing aerial yoga and was in town visiting family so decided to try the intro/level 1 aerial yoga class with Sloane. The studio is very nice and the ladies at the front were very helpful in showing us around before the class started. My sister and mom joined me and had never done aerial yoga before. There were 3 other women in the class who appeared to be regulars in the class. I will start with my suggestions as a beginner but completely recognize the studio has to do classes based on demand. I think aerial yoga is a tough thing to do as an intro and level 1 class so would have preferred it been with all beginners to allow more time to get comfortable in the silks and go through poses a bit slower. I also felt my silk was too high after having gone to a few classes at home but didn't appear they had a way to adjust silks and Sloane said it was the correct height so I made it work but had to use a bolster to get into a few times because it was too high. I also wish there had been time at the end to be able to take some quick pictures since it was my mom and sisters first time. That being said, we all thoroughly enjoyed the class. Sloane and the other girls in the class were very helpful and supportive. Some parts felt a bit more like boot camp (my abs were on fire) but appreciated Sloane pushing us to push our very hardest. I would absolutely come back for another class! My niece later attended one of the kids classes as well and loved it! They did allow time at the end for parents to take pictures and video so that was fun! read more

I've been to so many yoga studios, as yoga is my workout of choice, and this is by far the best I've ever been to. From the moment you walk in, their awesome trendy retail area catches your eye. I admit I've bought several good quality pairs of yoga pants here, no regrets! The walls are adorned with local art as you walk into one of the two studio rooms. All the instructors are amazing, but Jo is the best. Every time I come out of the hot yoga classes I know I was challenged, sweat out all my toxins, and feel so refreshed. Plus, this is the only place I've ever found that does aerial yoga! So much fun and much more of a workout than you'd think. They accommodate every experience level from newbies to workout fanatics, and I've even heard they do kids birthday parties and bachelorette parties! Things they do I love that other yoga studios don't: They use infrared light panels to heat the yoga room, no just blowing hot air on you, and infrared has numerous health benefits from circulation to immunity. During savasana, you get a lavender essential oil cool towel to put on your face or neck. They provide all towels, even full bath towels for the showers. The MAJOR plus is it's not a yoga-only studio, so you're not stuck in a membership with no options! They offer spin (fun & hard workout like Flywheel and SoulCycle), weight training and barre classes (butt-kicking), and recently they started a bungee class! Can't wait to try that one. Urban Vybe will melt your stress and anxiety away!As a first timer and first ever yoga class I was thrilled it was free!! Ms Stevie at the front is super welcoming and makes you feel comfortable right away. She kindly provided a mat (I can find one at Kohls and bring my own next time since I think I'm hooked on this workout :), towel and water and gave me a tour of the clean and modern studios. You can sign up for class online or with the app. I chose the HOT vinyasa class with Ms Caroline and she was a fantastic teacher. Her words are calming and encouraging with super clear instructions the entire time and her music was perfectly paced. Convenience in the neighborhood is terrific -- excellent instruction from teacher, nice pace like a slow dance, very calming music and words and breathing and releasing stress, lowers anxiety, great stretching and strengthening and the high heat feels like a massage! Men and women are welcome -- all sizes and levels of experience in our class -- don't be intimidated and wait a year like I did just come on down. I feel stronger and taller and at the end they give you a cold towel (ahhh so soothing) and a water I'm so glad I tried something new!! read more

Was visiting from out of town when we came across this studio. Drop in class $25, mat "rental" $5, towel "rental" $3. Was afraid to ask how much a yoga block "rental" was or if there was a charge for using the bathroom. Was out $60 for a one hour class for 2 people. Not worth it! read more

This was an amazing experience beginning to end. The studio is right on the street. So, from parking to being inside was two minutes. As soon as we walked in the energy flowed. The owner is engaging and energetic. This was our first class. The spin bikes are state of the art, and the studio is perfect size and acoustics. Our instructor, Cassandra knew every name and motivated not only the class, but every participant individually. The instruction is detailed and educational. We always knew exactly what our target was, and what benefit we were getting from the workout. Class was over an hour ago, and I can still feel the afterburn of a boosted metabolism. read more

My wife and I tried this place out the other day. We had some issues finding the location but I think that was due to gps. Our first class was free. I signed both of us up online so check in was super fast and simple upon arrival. The aesthetic is absolutely beautiful throughout the studio. We took the vinyasa class with April (who was a sub). We sweat our butts off. It was great. I think if I had constructive criticism to give it would be that we were on our hip joints for very long periods of time. I definitely found my hips locking up in those moments which was a nice reminder to ego that I surrender those poses when they become too much. Although I was focused on myself and my mat, I would catch a glance of the other class members and they seemed to be struggling a bit as well surrendering in child's pose. I would also say I prefer more flows. We never opened up to triangle or any binds. But overall great experience. I can't wait to go back! read more

I recently had a baby and was looking for a place to start getting back in shape. I found an offer for a free class at Urban Vybe on the MindBody app. I took a spin class with Jo and fell in love with the place. The studio is "urban" sheik and Jo is an amazing, warm and welcoming person. I lived in NYC and did spin and yoga there regularly and I have to say Urban Vybe matches, if not surpasses some of the most modern cool studios in NYC (I have tried most of them there). I shared with Jo my birthing experience and she had great tips and compassion for my situation. I left that class feeling hopeful that I can regain my pre-baby body thanks to Jo. I immediately bought a pass for more classes and took the hot vinyasa class also taught by Jo. I am excited to try all the other classes offered. Been going to CorePower for 9 years and I relocated to an area where the closest one is not very nearby. So, I tried Urban Vybe next to where I live and it is sooo much better! I LOVE this yoga studio. I have only taken the Hot Vinyasa classes, (about 5 of them) but have always gotten an amazing workout. The music is great, the times offered are also good.. The teachers, facility, and shop are all A+. They use infra-red panels to heat, so the air isn't insanely hot. I think that pretty much sums it up, there's a Himalayan salt rock wall; this place is top-notch. And, Bodie the dog is soo cute:) read more

I have a pass purchased for nine more sessions, so here's to more tries at becoming more flexible and more zen! An additional bonus, is everyone in this class isn't afraid to laugh at themselves. I was in Flower Mound for work for a couple of weeks and I had the pleasure of visiting this yoga studio in the evenings. The studio is very beautiful and I really enjoyed the candle lit Restorative and Yin yoga classes as well as my first Ariel yoga. I wish I lived closer I would be there all the time. I was really excited to try this place out since it's within 5 minutes of my house. I was almost about to buy a membership, but fortunately I did the "new student" special first. I had arrived 5 minutes early for my scheduled class, and asked the front desk if I could go ahead and walk in. As I walked in, I was rudely "wafted" to close the door in a rude manner. I thought the instructor was trying to say I was letting too much light in, but then as I closed the door he told me the class wasn't over yet and to get out. About 7 minutes after the scheduled class time, the door finally opened up for my class. The front desk apologized and seemed surprised. I think this could have been handled in a better way than trying to shoo me out like a dog. I'm sure Mark is a great instructor, but not for me. 3 of my other friends were going to sign up with me but now we're all looking elsewhere. Won't be returning. read more

So... I was stuck in Dallas at the airport Friday night for an extra day because of weather. Haven't seen my family since Sunday. Bags already checked so literally have nothing but he clothes on my back and the toiletry kit the hotel gave me. Needless to say, was pretty sour on life. In my greatest show of will and motivation in recent memory I forced myself to take an Uber to Target to buy some cheap workout clothes and then Uber to Urban Vybe for the "Vybe Hot Vinyasa Yoga" class. Best decision ever. They were so welcoming, and perceptive; they spotted the weary traveler aura and took wonderful care of me. I showed up with my Target shopping bag about 3 minutes before the class was to start but they ushered me swiftly in to a changing room. Then the instructor, DeAnna, walked me in and helped make a spot for me in the crowded studio. Crazy thing is they didn't even charge me! Your first class is free! She proceeded to lead me and the rest of the yogis through the most challenging class I've ever taken. Holy smokes; she seriously kicked my ass (in a good way). The other yogis were also kind and welcoming. What a great community. Anyway, mindset and outlook completely repaired. I just stared at this studio. Friendly and experienced staff & instructors. Terrific environment. Challenging, but they do a good job educating students on modifications. The location, instructors, class schedule/variety, environment, cleanliness, and community activities makes it all worth the money. It's perfect for those wanting a mix of high intensity/steady aerobic and cardio/weight training, as well as yoga and meditation classes. They are always incorporating new workouts and fun events to get members more involved. The instructors are extremely helpful whether you are an experienced yogi or just a beginner, and they never let you give up. The first trial class is free..but you'll be hooked right away! read more
