The instructors and students and Honor Yoga are so incredibly welcoming and encouraging! Classes are great for all ability levels. The aerial yoga is the best!

Very fun studio! I really like the aerial class, the stretch class REALLY stretches you out well, and my favorite is the barre yoga!! Aerial yoga has a lot of moves that are upside down so if you're intolerant to that (like me) it might not be for you. You can modify to an extent but you might find yourself a little bored. We wore regular tanks the first time and they made us borrow tee shirts as they are mandatory for class, but I went another time and people were in tank tops... so inconsistent and being a shirt with sleeves just in case! Stretch used a roller and a tension release ball the day I went and at points I wanted to cry with how deep it was getting, but that's just because I push myself that hard it felt amazing and you can choose the extent you want to go to in there with the instructors modifications. Barre yoga was by far my favorite--I loved this class as it was a full workout. You'll use bands, weights, yoga ball, etc depending on the day. I found it challenging but not a difficult challenge to maintain. I did get the *hottest* by far in this class and across all classes I found this studio to be rather stingy with their A/C. (It was not hot yoga or meant to be hot yoga to knowledge). Definitely bring a big water and one with a cap that screws shut to be safe (I did see some with straws but the signage says not to). Definitely worth checking out but it's a little far for me to maintain a membership. Hope to be able to do some drop ins in the future though!

A friend and I recently signed up for their current promotion: 2 weeks of unlimited classes for $22. We originally decided to check out the studio for their aerial yoga classes, which did not disappoint! I've been to 5 aerial yoga classes so far and have been able to try so many fun poses due to the attentiveness of the teachers and experienced students who are also very helpful/friendly. Since it is unlimited classes for 2 weeks, we've also checked out many of their other classes. I've enjoyed all of the classes so far and love the community feel of this studio.

I've been taking classes here for 2 months, and it's been a great experience. My favorite class so far is aerial Roots with Megan. She made it easy to understand without intimidating to try all the tricks. If you're a first-timer, definitely take her class. Several advanced women were in the class, and they were also very helpful to the new Yogi. The environment in honor yoga is very welcoming. 10/10!!

Somebody could live there. The only class I was able to make was after work so it was during high traffic hour, it was crazy finding a parking spot. I might wait till it gets dark later to come back. Instructor was cool and welcoming. I didnt have any complaint besides the heater, it was so hot.

I was fortunate to have a chance to visit with Ruth and Tina when I arrived. Their vision is exciting! If you have a chance, arrive early so they can share with you their wonderful ideas. Ruth and Tina spared no expense on designing a studio that is very warm and inviting. I did my first vigorous class with Rebekah on October 5th 2022. Rebekah is a fun and very knowledgeable instructor. I love the way she builds on the flow. Allowing your body to warm up before breaking into more difficult poses. Rebekah is also excellent with counter poses which are very important when practicing yoga. Her class was a vinyasa with a few "circus tricks" lots of twists and balancing . Shala yoga loft is now my favorite thing to do on Wednesday at noon. ----- It's now 2023, and I'm now a member at Shala yoga loft. In October of 2022 I purchased a $40 two week unlimited, and I'm so glad I did! It allowed me to try all the different classes which helped me decide if Shala was the place for me. I now go to as many classes as I'm physically able to go to. I love the variety of classes that are offered and the uniqueness of each of the instructors. I honestly believe that Shala's yoga instructors are the best. They are all very kind and extremely knowledgeable. I also LOVE the choice of chilled or heated lavender towel at the end.

Not gonna lie, I struggled in the last 20 minutes of the class but when we were given a cold, essential oil-infused towel at the end, I felt like it made it all worth it. I appreciated that throughout the whole session we were told different modifications we could do and I felt very at ease. The facility itself is right next to a great coffee shop I worked at before the class and the parking lot has plenty of parking spots. Inside there were showers, lockers to put away personal items, and all the yoga essentials like mats, towels, and yoga blocks. Also went to my first sound bath and it was great - the owner was very sweet and really cares about each person that comes to the studio. Highly recommend checking out a class and/or sound bath!

However, I've been told by many that I would LOVE the sculpting class at CorePower Yoga and finally had a chance to check it out when visiting Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. They were super friendly at check-in. Since it was my first class they gave me a mat and towel free of charge, but did mention you have to bring your own or they charge you. Personally I think a mat and towel should be included for the price of the class. I put my stuff in a locker and got my mat and some weights (a pair of light and a pair of medium) set up for class. It was a really busy class on Thanksgiving morning so we were pretty packed in there. And then we got ready to get our sweat on. I didn't realize the room would be heated or I would have never agreed to try it. I was so uncomfortable that I couldn't really focus on anything besides being SO hot. I kept looking at my watch to see how much longer i had to endure the heat. The class itself moved faster than a typical yoga class, but still way slower than the typical cardio/weight classes I do. The weights were also really light, but I guess using heavier weights in an option. There were some yoga poses with the weights that were doable even for some inflexible like myself. The instructor was engaging, but there wasn't a lot of correcting going on since there were so many people in the class. They did offer me a free week that I could continue back in Chicago, but I think this was a one time class for me. As I walked out I stepped on a random person's mat that was drenched in sweat (ew) and told myself that I was glad i tried something new, but not quite for me! However if you do like yoga, weights and don't mind the heat you may feel differently!
