At the Eismann Center their location is conveniently situated not far from Central Expressway. They offer valet or self parking in their parking garage. I was there to see the play What She's Having. Part of our group used valet. I used the self parking garage option. I purchased my ticket in advance as did most of my group and they have ushers to keep everything organized. The concessions are priced pretty much like you would expect. And the restrooms are large and well maintained. All of us truly enjoyed the play. Eismann Center is very well run. read more

Eisemann theater is a medium sized auditorium perfect for small performances. I've been here several times over the years and always enjoyed. The acoustics and lighting are great,seats comfortable and plenty of close parking. I wish there were more functions here,I would definitely come. Although there are elevators in the venue, once you get to the mezzanine there are stairs to climb to get to the seats. I witnessed the older crowds having troubles navigating the stairs. Also the band we saw was very entertaining and the acoustics were great ...BUT. The curtains on stage cut off half the slide show that was running behind the band, when you above the mezzanine box seats. Why the venue didn't raise the curtains I don't know ? It took away from the experience not seeing the slide shows as the band was telling their story along with the music. Very disappointing. So the response I got is that basically the mezzanine are the "cheap seats" and we don't deserve to have a good experience???? Our tickets were not at all cheap so I resent the comment that the people in the orchestra should not be distracted by the lighting equipment, but it's ok for us to be distracted by seeing a slide show that cuts off the heads of those being shown and trying to figure out what is happening. We were not given the whole experience of the slide show that was a part of the performance. If everyone can't enjoy the experience ...why not do the best to accommodate us... adjust the lighting equipment. The comment to buy orchestra seats next time was such a "classist" comment. Again very disappointing. I guess I appreciate what you are trying to say. Will have to think real hard about coming back to your venue. . read more

We enjoyed our evening at Eisemann Center. Easy parking and entrance into the building. The small theatre was just the right size for attending a musical. The terrace seating had a good view of the stage and it was accessible by stairs from above or below, so no difficulty entering or exiting the theater. The Eisemann Center is a class act venue! I have been here for various events and performances (Menopause the Musical, Beatles Tribute concert and other musical events during Wildflower festival) over the years and it is always a 5 star venue. This visit was to attend the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, "Stars of The Future" in the Hill Performance Hall. Everyone was so cheerful and welcoming- from the debutante greeters at the front door, to the ticket taker at the aisle entrances. We had great seats up in the mezzanine level. The acoustics are excellent, especially for a symphony! There is a covered parking garage located right next to the venue, as well as some street parking and valet parking available. The grounds are well lit, the facility and the restrooms are very clean and the seats are very comfortable. There is usually a beautiful fountain out in front, but it is currently closed due to nearby construction. A variety of concessions and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available in the lobby. There is a beautiful art gallery upstairs that spotlights various artists on a rotating schedule. If your special event takes you to the Eisemann Center, you can be assured that you will enjoy this venue! read more

Came here for the Sept 2021 Shen Yun performance. This event center is very classy and modern. The bathrooms were very fancy and nice. Lots of mirrors, lots of stalls, very clean. The event hall was very clean as well. The rows were well lit and well marked. Our seats were in the mezzanine and the stage was visible from all seats. The performance was amazing and the orchestra sounded amazing! I would definitely return here for an event of any kind. read more

We have also recently been there to see the John Denver tribute concert featuring Rick Schuler. This theater is a staple in the arts community for the Richardson Dallas area. They host a variety of performances that range from musical acts to theatrical performances. It is a gorgeous building with a 1400 seat theater. Many touring shows come through here as well as local performers. The theater has many capabilities comparable to a Broadway house in NYC. This is a really modern venue, easy to reach right near the highway and major roads, with plenty of parking in a garage as well as providing valet parking for a reasonable price. The lobby was well laid out, with several seating areas for conversation groups and a nice coffee/drink bar that sold a variety of snacks as well. There were greeters and ushers all over the place, who were polite, friendly and eager to insure that everyone had a good experience. The auditorium was laid out well for the event, well lit and spacious. Access to the main floor was via a long loading ramp down to the back stage area with an escort. The accessible seating area has easily movable seats to accommodate wheelchairs, and is located at a comfortable, mid-level with excellent view of the stage. The balcony also had plenty of accessible seats - all with good sight lines. Restrooms were clean and roomy, however the commodes were way too low and present a challenge to wheelchair users. read more

I was surprised to see they were given 99 out of 100 safety rating by Hazel Analytics. It is my opinion that there are safety issues with this theater. I've been going here for years for child's recitals and other performances. I don't have a choice of where these performances are held. read more

A friend and I visited the Eisemann Center for the first time at the early part of July 2023 for an event with The Home Edit. I was fine with the security screening, bag checks, and ticket scans. I realize all those things are necessary in this day and age. However, what was incredibly upsetting was once inside the arena, while my friend and I were trying to locate our seats, a man came up to me (and only me) demanding to see my ticket. I politely showed it to him as he claimed to be checking "something" on it. He quickly scanned it, said he saw what he needed to see, and then my friend and I found our seats. After sitting down, I thought back to that gentleman and wondered why he singled me out. My friend was standing next to me and had her ticket out (prepared for him to ask to see hers next) but he didn't. Could it be that I was one of the very few people of color in the arena that night? I don't like to jump to conclusions like that because honestly, it feels anachronistic. It was very unsettling and my friend who was with me (she is white) was not singled out even though we were together. I kept looking back at him to see if he was asking anyone else to see their tickets. He never did. Very curious. After the event ended, as we headed out, some of the ushers said we could turn in our souvenir fans of The Home Edit team. I asked if I could keep it and one of them said "Sure." So we proceeded to walk toward the exit when one member of the security team yells at me that I need to turn in the fan. I politely told her we were told we could keep it. She begins to angrily yell at me that I need to turn it in. At this point, I dropped it into the collection bin and left. Clearly communication and training on how to treat patrons was lacking within the staff. Because of that lack of communication and training, I was left befuddled and perturbed. At this point, I'm avoiding the Eisemann Center for the foreseeable future. All of the issues I encountered could've been easily avoided. I hope they can do better in the future. All in all, I left deeply disappointed and would not recommend this venue. read more

We came here for the Halloween symphony. It is the low key event that they have each year where kids are welcome, there is a little bit of noise, and the musicians are all wearing costumes. There is also a magician who emcees the entire event and entertains the kids (and adults) too. The venue is great. There are multiple entrances and it is state of the art. The acoustics were wonderful and the staff friendly. My only compliant is that the ticket booth beforehand was understaffed. the line was so long and they only had one window open. I feel as though this could have been anticipated and prevented. read more

I have attended two different events at the Eismann and can tell you that each time both the theater and the presentations far exceeded my expectations. My first experience at the Eismann was in early 2008 when the Black and White feature "Full Moon Murders" was running. I had heard many people rave about the black and white concept, but you truly must see it to believe it. The entire set and all the actors are made up in shades of gray, black and white. Not one iota of color is present during the entire production (yes, I used the word iota!!). We were seated fairly close to the stage and the actors' make up was superb. After the production, the actors came out into the main foyer and mingled with the guests, which I thought was a very nice touch. The second show I attended was Menopause: The Musical. Contrary to what you might be thinking, there were plenty of us younger folk in the audience....but I did not see any unattached men so I think the guys who were present might have been brought along by their spouses for some "education". The actresses were incredible and the superb acoustics of the theater made their voices resonate as they sang. Several times during the show, the actresses would come off stage and interact with the audience, and the intimate size of the theater allowed even those not sitting close to the stage to be right there in the midst of the action. Overall, the production was hysterically funny and very entertaining!! NOTE: Wait until you see the Tina Turner "What's Love Got to Do With It" parody - if you don't laugh until coke comes out of your nose, I'll give you five buck!!!! The theater is conveniently located right off of I-75 at the Galatyne exit, and parking was a breeze. The ushers were all super friendly and helpful, and the entry foyer had a nice upscale snack bar where you could get some eats and drinks before or after the shows. There are also a number of nice restaurants fairly close by as well, making dinner and a show at the Eismann a perfect way to spend an evening. read more

I went to the Eisemann last night for the Vocal Majority's Christmas concert and was very impressed at this well kept secret of a concert hall. It's located right off of Galatyn in Richardson, but you wouldn't know that from the highway. But, when you turn off of Galatyn onto Professional, there it is; a concert hall remarkably similar to the Winspear Opera House in the Dallas Arts District. Once inside, you are taken back by the art on the walls and the sheer size of the place. There is a full service bar available for patrons and a several thousand square foot area for patrons to converse and wait until the auditorium is ready for you. The inside of the auditorium itself reminds one of a more upscale version of the McFarlin Auditorium on SMU. However, the acoustics and orchestra pit here is where the venue surpasses SMU. When the performance itself began, the lower and upper levels are situated that you are hit directly by a wall of sound from the stage. That is the best way I can describe it. I wonder if microphones and speakers are even needed with such a wonderfully designed place. Though I prefer the Winspear to the Eisemann, this venue wins for being considerable smaller and more intimate of a venue. I would gladly see any other vocally or musically stunning performer in this equally stunning venue. Edit: However, leaving the parking garage can be a CF for about 5-10 minutes, but it cleared up fine, and there was little to no traffic getting back onto Galatyn onto 75. read more

As others have mentioned, the auditorium space was wonderfully intimate; perfect for those up-close-and-personal performances like the Vocal Majority's April show that I attended. I really could not see a bad seat in the house--everyone had a clear line of sight. Obviously for more cashola you can get front and center seating if you desire. Based on the online prices for future shows, I saw no seat priced beyond $80. Concessions including alcohol are allowed in the theater during shows; and for pre-show dining options, there is a restaurant space on the second floor. There were sparse seating options on the first floor, so when the foyer fills up, folks were jockeying for the scant number of pub tables. There isn't much in the way of art on display except for a light installation, so I imagine the Eisemann could improve on this aspect. Parking seemed to be a breeze; they had a garage and valet available. For a somewhat small block, traffic did not seem to be issue during my visit. And it was a simple jump back onto Galatyn and 75 Central Expressway. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at the Eisemann and would visit again. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at the theater. Online, the seats in the N rows and back seem too far away. In reality, they weren't bad at all. It's an intimate theater. The ushers were polite and helpful, and occasionally wandered around to keep an eye on things. That being said, why on earth would a theater sell bottled water and allow people to take it into the theater? Are you serious? I've never been to a theater that allowed food or drink in the seats. Especially bottled water; those thin plastic bottles make an enormous amount of noise, and no pre-show message "Please turn off cell phones and be mindful of noise from water bottles...." is going to silence the women with hand-spasms behind me. read more

Came here to see the Russian Grand Ballets performance of Sleeping Beauty and it was amazing! This venue surprise me as I did not expect this level of quality Performance Center in Richardson, it can easily be in Downtown Dallas and fit right in. The seats are extremely comfortable and spacious, the venue is modern and clean and they have a great selection of snack and drinks. The floor seating all gives you a great view of the stage and the sound was very good. I would definitely recommend coming here to watch any show!!! read more

This review is about the pre-show buffet offered when there is a concert or show in the main theater. We recently ate here before the Ten Tenors and the Vocal Majority concerts. Two nights in the same week. For $26 we had a cup of hot squash soup, wonderfully fresh mixed green salad and a large variety of cheeses, followed by a choice of chicken and/or fish. There were three vegetables such as potatoes, asparagus, and cauliflower to choose from. Then we finished with a large variety of fruit and desserts. I chose the Yule Log which was so moist and tasty. My hubs ate the pecan pie. The cheesecake was very tempting! Our service was attentive and friendly. We highly recommend booking a reservation before your next show at the Eiseman. read more

This is a nice performance hall. The lobby is a bit small though, and it makes it difficult to find others in your party. In addition, the streets are narrow, valet parking is overpriced ($10 are you kidding me?) and you must prepay the valet. What do they think? I'm gonna run to my car after watching something artsy and speed away like Mario Andretti? It's a small venue so all seats are good. This is probably one of my favorite performing arts centers. It offers valet service directly in front of the building. Which was only $10. Not sure if it's more on weekends. But for the price and the convenience, it's definitely worth it. Inside there's several stations to get your concessions. Soda (fountain drinks) was about $3 and they have several food options like pretzel with cheese ($4.50), nachos with chili, hotdogs, candies,sandwiches,etc. Much more options than other centers and prices are very reasonable. There's people all around to guide you to where you need to be. Seats are comfortable, well padded. The bathrooms are nice, modern, and clean. We came here to see Movie Mischief Aerial Arts Presents BOUND...This was my first time here and I must say I am very impressed. The venue is conveniently located right off Central Expressway (75) at Galatyn Parkway. The venue is clean cut and gorgeous housing the Bank of America Theater and the Hill Performance Hall. The Bank of America theater is a smaller more intimate theater that has around 400 seats. The other theater is the Hill Performance Hall which seats a larger audience. Park is right across the street as is the Renaissance Hotel. The show itself was really unique. Not a huge production. Aerial arts with emphasis on mental heath, gender roles, and sexual orientation. It was beautifully acted and the set was amazing. There literally isn't a bad seat in the house. Would highly recommend visiting the Eisemann Center Also, would recommend this show if you like to see unique stories from a different perspective. read more

The Eisemann Center earns 4.5 stars according to me. I had to bring them down a half-notch because AC inside the auditorium seemed a bit weak and the air seemed a tad stale. When it's a bafrillion degrees outside in Texas, I'm hoping for a place that spares no expense with cool air. But I can overlook that a bit to know a great entertainment venue when I see one. I had the pleasure of coming here to see Ira Glass from This American Life talk on Saturday. Not sure how old the venue is, but everything seemed brand new with a beautiful foyer area lit with lots of natural lighting. The seats were clean and cushy and designed for a great view wherever you sit. Little Ira was set up in the center of the stage with his radio equipment and he was clearly visible though he's not doing much else than sitting...but as far away from him as we were, the view was great - really, we were only two rows down from the last row - I'm talkin nose bleeds here. Not unlike any parking garage after an event, the garage evacuation sitch was a bit of a CF. You'd think an event-goer should expect to be faced with a bumper-to-bumper wait upon mass exodus, but C surely thought that since we were around a bunch of NPR listeners, the simple task of getting out of the garage would be orderly and simple. This was not the case. Seemingly mild-mannered public radio listeners are just as pushy and annoying as everybody else. Anyhow, parking sitch aside, I'm happy to see another show here again :) read more

We had never been to the Eisemann Center before so we were pretty excited to check out a production in this venue. With the size of the venue, ticket price, and production quality of what we saw, I would have expected the hall to have been much cleaner than it's was. While sitting waiting for the performance to begin, you can't help but notice the layer of dust that is on the walls. What initially caught my eye was actually a buckling in the wood panel where you can see an air bubble. I realized that they are false panels and have production/light equipment behind them so I was not too concerned. Then I see a nice thick layer of dust that has accumulated on the walls of this paneling. And the paneling is not flat. There are multiple dimensions to these walls so it is fairly easy to see. There were quite a few allergy sufferers in the building it seemed or a lot of cold sufferers, in any case, I would assume a dust venue may not be the best representation to be putting forward to attract performances or guests. read more
