We arrived at around 10:50am on before it opened and we were the 3rd table to sit in. We ended up getting our food 12pm. 1hour wait for our food and people came in after us had finished their food and left before we got our food. So ridiculous and no applogies for the long wait. The wait is a bit cray at this place, but I guess that tells you how good it is, there is a lot of place in there to put extra tables/chairs, but i guess they want the extra room for whatever reason. We waited about 30-45 mins, ample parking in the lot so thats great, we waited in the car since there were no chairs to wait in the restaurant. Our waiter came immediately, I got the chicken and waffles, the waffles were great, nothing fancy or life changing, the chicken was nice and crispy, they used chicken breast, which was thick. It came with a habanero honey, who can eat that, idk, but we surely couldn't. The maple syrup they gave us though tasted homemade, it wasn't too sweet which was nice. We started with the fried pickles, super crispy and delicious, well balanced flavor, and the buttermilk sauce was great I asked for extra, the breading wasn't too thick, it was light and airy. Perfected. My son got the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich, which he got the pickles on the side and got lettuce with it instead, he really seemed to like it, I didn't personally get to try it. We wanted to try the shed fries and the Gouda fries, so the waiter offered us fries, with booths sauces on the side, that was really accommodating and super nice of him. Terrible service and fraudulent business practices, stay away! We dined here, arriving at 5pm on a Sunday when the restaurant was about half full. We ordered quickly since we brought our toddler with us and even ordered a simple dinner (two sandwiches and a side of fries) to make sure that we would be in and out as fast as possible. 45 minutes later, our server was nowhere to be found and we had to wave down someone to check on our food. I'm guessing that it was the manager since he wasn't in server or greeter attire. He told us unapologetically that there was a big party ahead of us which is why our food was taking so long. Um ok... but it shouldn't take 45 minutes for two sandwiches even if there was a big party, especially since the restaurant isn't even full. I ask for a slice of bread for my child who is at this point cranky and famished. He agrees to bring it. He goes in the back to check on our food and of course, he comes right back out with our food. My food was lukewarm and husband's sandwich was COLD which means that it was probably sitting in there and no one bothered to bring it to our table. Clearly it had nothing to do with the big party. He also didn't care to bring the bread for my child that I had asked for. The entire time, no apology, and absolutely no effort to make things right by any of the employees. My husband sends back his cold sandwich. I eat mine since I was too hungry to wait any longer. We eat as fast as possible and leave since the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We still tipped our server though because we are nice people. Then today my husband saw on our credit card transactions our server added ADDITIONAL TIP to our bill. This is FRAUD and THEFT and is insulting given the extremely poor service that we received. We will not be dining here or recommend this place to anyone again. Originally I wasn't going to leave a bad review but I feel that it's important that people know about their deceptive business practices. There are plenty of other places to eat in the area. Choose wisely or at least watch your credit card transactions like a hawk!! read more

I came here for brunch to celebrate my brother in law's birthday. I would give it a 3.5ish stars. Upon arrival we had to wait to be seated which I would say it took about 45 minutes to an hour, so I'm guessing on Sunday for brunch it gets packed. AnyWho, we were seated outside, which wouldn't be terrible. If there wasn't so much bees. I honestly just wanted to get my food, eat and leave as soon as possible lol. I ordered Egg Benedict which was good. The rest of the family had an array of food but I remember for sure the chicken & waffle dish was a winner. Would I return? I loved the rustic design as it was nestled in the suburban Long Island neighborhood. Awesome service and staff quick turnaround and made some awesome referral. Although I found my margarita not the best I've had it wasn't the worst just a little too heavy on lemon juice and not the fine balance that I'm accustomed. The calamari was fresh which I just love my only take away was it was very bland. I also tried the salmon on bed of veggies. I was tasty maybe one of the better tasting things on the menu. Came by for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The wait was about 35 minutes for 3 people. We got 2 orders of chicken and waffles, the short rib melt, fries with both the shed and gouda sauce, and the Nashville hot chicken wings appetizer. The hot honey that came with the chicken and waffles has a pleasant kick to it! And when we couldn't finish they gave us a small container of the hot honey to go. Yummm! We dipped our fries in all the sauces available to us and my favorite was actually the dill aioli that came with the wings. The shed sauce was like an elevated thousand island dressing and the gouda dip was an elevated version of a nacho cheese dip. Both good, but would not pay extra for the gouda next time. Underwhelming. We came on a Sunday. The wait was obviously insane because it was packed. We sat at the bar to save time - but it still took close to an hour to get our food. I got the avocado toast with eggs, thinking the eggs would be on top of the avocado toast. Instead, I got a piece of store-bought whole wheat square bread with avocado smash on it and some watermelon radish. The avocado smash and radish combo tasted great. But again the bread was just a regular piece of whole wheat/multigrain square bread you would get at the grocery store. My eggs were also freezing cold when they arrived, I had to ask for another batch. And I do find it weird that the eggs not on top of avocado toast the way you normally think an avocado toast is presented. For $14 you would expect a little bit more. We also got a side of fries, a sweet potato and regular. The fries were really good and the sauce that it came with was delicious. My husband got his own omelette which he says was 10/10. The decor here is beautiful. But I find it way too crowded. It was so loud we could barely hear each other. I would try it if you've never been here before but likely won't come back bc it seems the food is hit or miss and it's way too packed. read more

Today I visited here with a couple of friends for brunch here at The Shed. We were all figuring out a good place to go for brunch that was local. As soon as we walked in, it had a very trendy vibe to it and was light. We got these homemade biscuits and jam to start which I thought they were like a complimentary bread basket but we had to pay for it. 2 biscuits and jam for $6 to me is just ridiculous and not worth the price. We all got drinks. I got a cocktail that was called The Watermelon, it was very delicious. My friend got a lemonade and enjoyed it but when she asked for another one they never gave it to her.... We all then got our food. Everyone was happy with what they got and I was as well. I ordered a omelette with cheddar cheese, spinach and Turkey bacon. The omelette was soft, fluffy, and just overall very delicious. Home fries were extra, they were just your standard roasted potatoes. While the food was very yummy, it just wasn't worth the price in my opinion. Still can't believe 2 dense biscuits and blueberry jam was $6.00!! read more

I brought my little cousins here for a girls day brunch and I was so glad we chose this spot! Our waiter was so friendly, and my cousins loved it here! Super cute spot, tons of seating inside and outside, and although they don't take reservations, the wait time ended up being a lot shorter than what we were originally told- which was a great surprise! We started off with their warm biscuits and jam, start your meal with these- you will not regret it! I went with the breakfast bowl- I love that they allow you to change the eggs to what style you want- the sauce was delicious and I loved the potatoes that were in the bowl. Visited here last Sunday for Brunch. It was our first time and it was a great experience. We got in right before the brunch rush so didn't have to wait to be seated. Had a spook-tacular meal last night! Stoped by for a Halloween dinner with my boo! Our server Adam was patient with our questions and offered great suggestions. Highlights included the BEST fried pickles I've ever had, they were honestly cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the fish sandwich, it does have a kick as it's blackened but it's delicious and has a super soft bun. The Mac and cheese was shareable, creamy and balanced. We also got a Shirley temple and a Downeast Pumpkin cider. 5/5 stars I can't wait to go back and hopefully have room for dessert next time! read more

Honestly so thrilled to have stumbled upon this gem after pumpkin patch picking just 9 mins away. We walked in and got seats by the bar right away (it was around 2pm on a Saturday I think) and the service is great, the food is even better and there's loads of great sunlight pouring into the restaurant, aka great ambiance. The couple next to us said they visit at least once a week because they live in the area and that their salads are allegedly incredible. We....ordered the skillet mac n cheese with jalapenos and frankly that was insanely good. It could have been a little spicier, but it was still a solid dish. Oh and I got the mezcal cocktail that was really really good. I then deeply regretted not order the Shed Burger. While the Farmer's b'fast was good, the fried chicken sandwich was even better. So for as long as this place has been around in Huntington I still had yet to have gone. I finally got to try this place that opened so close to home and I'm so happy I did. First off it's a beautiful small place. The bar area is extremely appealing to sit at although we did get a table. For my drinks I had my usual double tequila on the rocks, and they were quite generous with the pours. We had the Nashville wings to start, they were absolutely incredible. Very well cooked, perfect crisp and juicy. The seasoning was great. For my entree I had the short rib melt. It was absolutely incredible. Granted the food did take some time to come out but the service was great. We also got some sweet potato fries which were very good. I love condiments and I must say, their honey mustard and bbq sauce were terrific. I can't get over how good that sandwich was, I also got to try their hot honey chicken sandwich which was also incredible. I will definitely revisit this place more often. read more

We ordered some drinks, which weren't all that strong - kinda just tasted like juice. The shed never disappoints. I'm glad they've expanded and open other locations. My first time going was in Huntington and we had a wonderful brunch. This time was a Tuesday afternoon for lunch the place was jammed. It's obvious that the word is out and the shed is the place to be. They have a wonderful menu mixed with healthy choices vegan choices as well as choices that might not be so healthy wink wink. They have a full bar selection and the bar is quite big if you choose to sit there. The outdoor section is lovely as well. This is in a great location off the expressway but also feels quaint and private at the same time I always get the green bowl which I love the Rubin was excellent too if you want breakfast they have breakfast like omelettes and such or you can go for a yummy burger. read more

Came for a late lunch/ early dinner (3 PM). The food is actually really good. We got a table of the fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, eggs Benedict and a BLT type sandwich. Everyone loved the food. Also got a dessert of a banana bread with ice cream type thing that was good too. I would say that the price was maybe a little high. And I'm saying this as coming back from a place that have me unlimited bread and had alcoholic beverages for the same price. It was about 40$ per person - so I have to give it a ding for that.
