Great service from the bartender at the bar! They have great seating for groups near the entrance. Drinks were good! The bartender had a heavy pour but the lychee martini was 3/5 (I've had better and no lychee with drink). The takes two to mango also tasted very artificial. The music, vibes and ambiance overall would bring me back though. It's great for groups. More worth it during happy hour.

    Gorgeous ambiance throughout

Just hosted my daughter's engagement party with a buyout on a Saturday night. In her words: the whole evening was perfect. Planning with Tim went smoothly with fair pricing given the ambiance which is far nicer than any of our other neighborhood bars and the good bar snacks. On the evening of, the bartenders were great-in short the vibes were immaculate. Couldn't recommend more. We may use again for another event.

Cute local UES staple perfect for a fun night out or date night. A bit noisy later on in the evening but great quality service and decent food. I got the flatbread and it was giant - perfect to split between two people

Hubby and I popped in here one night because we just happened to be in the area with time to kill. His coworkers were celebrating so we stopped by for a drink and to say hi. It was extremely packed and at the time I was not too comfortable but they had a little corner carved out with plenty of space for us. We sat for a bit, ordered drinks and some tots and then made out exit. I can only review my limited experience. Getting the servers attention was a chore but it was very busy. The tots were not that great but that's all we had from the menu. The drink I had was kind of sweet and not really my cup tea but I'm sure we would have had a better time if we had stayed longer and had a more comfortable set-up. They have outdoor seating as well so that's an option. I wouldn't mind trying them again because they were packed beyond the brim so sure there are menu items that I must try.

I come to Sefton pretty often but I have never written a review because I think I take this place for granted. Excellent drinks, great service, good food. I have obviously not tasted "everything" on the menu but most things. My favorites are Hyde park, old fashioned, two to mango and when the smoke clears (although they have been out of some ingredients for the last one) For food, the rib tacos are really pretty awesome. So is the harvest bowl . Will have to come back for brunch now! Late night Sefton vibe is pretty dope fyi

I've been to The Sefton prior for drinks and it's always a good vibe. First time dining here for brunch and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Eggs Benedict (with prosciutto) and the Avocado Toast, with a side of potatoes. We both loved our meals! They are serving up a solid bottomless brunch option (drinks are strong). I will definitely be returning. Do check this restaurant out if you are in the neighborhood!

I'm glad I gave Sefton a 2nd try. The bartender Paddy was very accommodating and predicted my needs before I even asked. He works Wednesday- Saturdays at 6pm. The bartender before Paddy's shift also was very helpful. He let me taste a happy hour drink, because I was unsure if I wanted it. Thank you Sefton team! I didn't care for the wings because I thought it was a bit too sweet for me.

Great bar on the UES! We went there for the happy hour and the drinks tasted really good. Also super nice vibe, great lighting and really busy. The food seemed really nice as well though we didn't eat anything.

Such a great spot for cocktails! We sat in the outdoor seating since indoors was pretty crowded. They have a really great cocktail list with a lot of unique options. If you like mezcal you'll have tons of choices here! We had the New Era, the Dove, New York State of Mind, and it takes two to mango. Everything was incredible! We also had the steak.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne, which immediately set the tone for a special evening. Our server, Daniel, was beyond amazing. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our anniversary meaningful. It never felt forced just thoughtful, polished hospitality. The team went above and beyond when we brought our wedding cake (which had been frozen for a year). Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. We will absolutely return.

I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.

Our server didn't check up on us, and seemed to want us to leave quickly after dropping off the check. We would have been happy to pay the $65 each for afternoon tea, but it wasn't worth it and frankly, I was agitated by the whole ordeal by the time I left. We were also disappointed by the food items (as they were lacking) and nothing about this was like other experiences we had with other afternoon teas. I can't in good faith recommend this place, nor do I see myself coming back after the atrocious service we experienced.
