I went on a Thursday night around 9:00 and it was busy but we were able to get a booth pretty quickly. I got a cheeseburger with a side of fries and they were both really good. After our server gave us our drinks though he never came over again, he forgot my friend's drink which would've been fine if he had come back near us but we didn't see him again until we had to catch his attention to get the check. It was really busy inside and I'd go back but I wouldn't sit at a table unless it was earlier. Seems like a good spot to go out on the weekend.

Burger was great! Cosmo hit the spot. Place is truly a dive and dated but if u love a good dive you'll be fine. Bathroom is slightly atrocious but... its a dive so hey.

Awesome New York bar with a friendly crowd. We grabbed a cheeseburger which we were hoping to share between the two of us. They had it cut in half and prepared on two separate plates for us which was very nice of them. The prices are reasonable as far as New York goes and I'd be happy to come back. But what made me want to come back more was the fact that the fourth round of drinks was free! We ended up staying a bit longer because of this which we were happy to do.

Peter McManus Cafe has been open for 87 years, and it looks it...not in a necessarily negative way, it just looks its age. Rather than Cafe, PMC looks more like a pub or "bar and grill". Sitting down in the front bar portion, one can feel the past and imagine what the "walls have seen" over the almost 90 years of pints poured and burgers slung. The walls were adorned with old pictures and letters, and there were telephone booths by the corner of the bar. We went there for lunch and it was decently filled with a mix of locals and tourists there for lunch or just a few drinks. The bartender handled the front tables in addition to the barstools. He was a loud-laughing friendly helpful guy, who was born for the business...a natural. I had the Pop Pop burger with tater tots. Pop Pop is a 50-25-25 blend of ground chuck, brisket and short rib, A relatively simple burger with cheddar cheese, onion and pickle that is not "gourmet" with all sorts of cheffed up toppings; it's just a satisfying juicy two napkin burger. That tots were frozen but fried nicely crispy in a way that made it hard to stop eating them. From the outside, and perhaps the inside if you're "dinge" adverse, it may seem to be a dive bar but it really is not...it has character to spare.

Food and service were excellent. But the restaurant needs to be updated. And the ladies room was beyond gross.

Great bar in Chelsea! Good value, considering where it is and the two women behind the bar on a Saturday afternoon, made it a perfect day!

It has that old bar rustic feel. Food was great and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Worth going back.

Weak! Needs an upgrade, to run down looking. Food could be better, service is slow. What happened to this place?

Great pop-pop's burger but the rest of food is so-so. As drinks go, just stick to beer on tap.

Great reputation but everything is dirty in the pub: the tablecloths, the menus, the booths. Burger was great.

Sean's easily accommodated our group of six. We started with pretzels and spinach artichoke dip…read morewith chips. The dip was hot and cheesy. Chips were replenished..eventually. The pretzels were more like warm soft breadsticks, served with a cheese dip and mustard on the side. Decor is an advertisement for Guinness but it IS an Irish pub in NYC. I had the Irish stew, a crock of hot beef and vegetables in a tasty gravy. Others in the group enjoyed burgers and salads. Next time I'll try the shepards pie. Server was pleasant and answered our questions.

Walking around New York City on a drizzly Sunday, I walked into Sean's Bar & Kitchen to grab lunch…read more Typical looking New York, Irish pub, TVs, great vibe. Service from the bartender was great. I ordered the fish and chips and a Bloody Mary. Everything was great up till then. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Maybe it was a deep fat fryer thing, but I respectfully suggest the cook be given a little additional training. The fish batter was hard on the outside, and the fish was completely mushy on the inside. Like, gray mush. The fries were lukewarm. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce were served in little covered plastic disposable containers. I'm not a fan of that, but I get it is convenient. I truly wanted to like this place, and except for my one experience with the food, I would certainly return. People were having fun, and I did as well. I believe if they become a little more attentive in the kitchen, this place is a five star pub.
