This place is awesome! You can tell because it is always busy! They have a very small kitchen, but that kitchen works wonders! I wish I was able to go more often but my lunch hour is only so long, unfortunately. I do go every Saturday since they opened this location, and I have not been disappointed in anything I have gotten so far. I really love this country/quaint off-the-beaten-path cafe! Don't be in a hurry because you will meet someone and will have one of the best conversations of your life. Food was mediocre overall. I ordered the steak fingers, which tasted like frozen bulk items. The gravy was the same institutional-style gravy you get everywhere. Fries were decent. My wife had the fried bologna sandwich and said it was just okay. The restaurant itself was very loud. Some of the staff were yelling across the room to talk to patrons, which made it hard to hear people at our own table. On a positive note, the hamburgers looked good. And I'll tell ya what--they rode in like champions at the county fair From the moment we stepped through them doors, the service was friendlier than a front porch on a Sunday afternoon. Folks were attentive, quick on the draw, and made sure my drink stayed topped off like a well-fed horse at the trough Food came out hotter than a Texas summer and cooked just right--no fussin', no fixin', just straight-up good eatin'. Every bite hit the mark like a bullseye at the shooting range And let's talk about that décor... got that rustic, down-home vibe that makes you wanna kick your boots up and stay awhile. Felt like we wandered into a saloon where everybody knows your name Safe to say, we ain't just passin' through again... we'll be ridin' back in for another round soon. Came in on a Sunday just before noon. Place was busy, very busy. Service was efficient and we never felt rushed. My wife had the BLT and I had the Chicken fried steak sandwich, it was one of the best I have ever had. The menu is kinda small but they are focused on what they can do best. Not jazzed about the Styrofoam mini cup of soda for 3 bucks but refills are free. Our friend had the finger basket with 4 very large pieces and it was very good as well. The decor is rather basic but then again this is a diner concept. We'll worth a try. This is our 2nd time here. read more

Been three times. Food is great ... just because u can cook doesn't mean u are ready to go full service restaurant ... first dine in experience. Food good. Service horrendous. Sparsely occupied took forever to get food. I'm not an impatient diner and I understand there are glitches when opening a new place. Second dine in. Food was good. Service - awful. Flies swarmed us the entire time and it took 20 minutes to get drinks after we ordered. Food took forever. Decided to drive thru because I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. Pulled in behind a car receiving their order. They drive off I pulled up. Ten minutes and no one came to the window. Two different employees saw me and walked past the window ... I drive off. Why not open the window and say we will be with in a minute. Just because u can cook doesn't mean not mean u have an understanding of customer service .... My extreme patience has run out. read more

Just want to say how amazing this staff truly is. We stopped by here on our way to the funeral home as my wife's father just passed away. My wife ordered her food and as she began to eat the cup of fruit it brought back memories of her dad and his last comforting meal. The waitress immediately asked if everything was ok, we explained the situation and she gave my wife a hug and her condolences. That meant the world to my wife.
