Food was decent. Aside from the pancakes being dry, the food was not bad at all. The waiter was very friendly and helpful.

O-M-G is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Strawberries Cafe! We drove up from Dallas and decided to swing into SC for a quick bite and couldn't be more pleased - the food is amazing! If you came in and could only get one thing - get a homemade BISCUIT - they are HUGE and sooooo YUMMY!? The breakfasts we had were also delish but I kid you not that biscuit was everything!

Stuffed crepes, chicken fried steak breakfast, 3 egg omelette.

The food tastes so good, and it's good size portions for the cost. Lots of places have continued to charge the same amount and end up sacrificing size or quality, but not this place. Myself , husband, and son just love coming here anytime we're in the area. The waitstaff is also friendly and even if it's busy, they stay on top of the customers requests.

I ordered the berry bliss waffle, and my daughter had a cinnamon roll pancakes. We also had to have a side of hash browns. I typically do not order anything sweet for breakfast, but the berry bliss waffle with the mascarpone and whipped cream was incredible. My daughter ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and she love them. The restaurant is extremely clean and the staff was fabulous. There was a wait when we arrived, but we were seated within 10 minutes. I will definitely recommend this place to all of my friends. On another note, they have gluten-free options. My husband was not with us, but he is gluten and dairy free and I wish you could have been there with us! He can often find gluten-free options on a breakfast menu, but it is so wonderful to have pancake and waffle options that are gluten-free!

Super yummy! Will be back! Down home service and fresh food. Just what you want in a breakfast place. I knocked off a star because the coffee wasn't that great. I'm pretty picky, but when my man giant said the coffee wasn't so good (and he isn't picky) well, it's good for you readers and management to know that. Veggies seemed fresh, Swedish pancakes were on point. Maybe get some fresh lingonberry instead of jar ones. The overwhelming preservative taste took away from the chefs fresh cooking. Will be back and definitely will recommend!

Stopped here while passing through based on photos. They didn't disappoint. Great little cafe. Massive biscuits. Amazing hollandaise sauce.

The food was even more fantastic than it was before. We started with the buratta which was sooo good. I had the chicken with asparagus and she had the salmon on risotto. I am not normally one to eat salmon but I tried a bite of hers and it was amazing. The chicken was juicy and so good with the garlic sauce. For dessert we had the 3 flight with the lemon Bundt, crème brûlée, and chocolate tart. All three were unbelievable. We will be back many times.

I visited on a Saturday evening for an early dinner with my parents and sister. (Side note for Dallas residents: If you're familiar with the Katy Trail, it's worth the drive to see where it all began. When the Katy railroad tracks were removed in Dallas, the trail was born. While Denison doesn't have a trail today, the original depot remains, and it's a lovely place to explore.) The atmosphere at Stafford House is calm and refined, with deep burgundy tones, and brown leather accents lending it a warm, intimate feel. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. We started with the steak carpaccio appetizer, which was savory and full of flavor. For dinner, the ladies each had the Airline chicken with mushroom risotto, while my father and I ordered the lamb T-bones. I swapped the vegetable medley for sweet potato grits, which were decent but lacked any noticeable sweet potato flavor. Definitely put Stafford House on your must-visit list. It's a beautiful little spot for a quiet, intimate dinner. And don't miss their adjacent bar--it's equally charming and perfect for a pre- or post-dinner cocktai

Inside, the atmosphere is small-town comfort at its best -- casual, welcoming, and the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered the Chicken Bennie, and it was absolutely outstanding. A homemade biscuit served as the base, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right touch of crisp on the outside. On top of that came perfectly fried chicken tenders, a runny egg that tied everything together, and a generous pour of rich, savory sausage gravy. It all came with a side of crispy fried potatoes that were cooked just right -- golden and flavorful without being greasy. Every bite was pure comfort food perfection. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, the kind that pairs perfectly with a hearty breakfast. Service was excellent as well -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. You can tell the staff really cares about their customers and their food. Overall, 1836 Café is exactly what you hope to find in a small-town spot: great food, great people, and an atmosphere that keeps you wanting to come back. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through or nearby.
