Reading all the benefits about the salt cave, I was excited to experience it in Smyrna. There's a salt cave, float tank, and foot salt bath. I tried the salt cave option. I really appreciate the tip from the receptionist in regards to the salt cave being chilly. I wore an extra cozy sweater during the session but it was still cold. There are lockers near the salt cave for your personal items and they give shoes booties to put on before entering the room. With the dimly lit room, sparkling lights above, and running waterfall with extra blankets in the room, it was therapeutic. The benefits of the salt cave is worth a try. A star for customer service, a second star for the cleanliness, a third star for the price, and a fourth star for the sparkling lights in the cave. read more

My husband and I tried the infrared sauna as well. I usually can't tolerate the heat of saunas. But I was able to enjoy this entire session. Me and a friend came in for a spa day. We had a nice relaxing time in the salt cave- it was nice , quiet, cool, and dim. We also got the foot detox bath. That was pretty interesting to learn about and actually do. The staff was friendly and warm. We definitely talked about coming back and receiving more services! I will be back. read more

This place is awesome! It's very clean and welcoming. This was my first visit. There are lockers to store your purse, shoes, etc. The salt cave has 7 zero gravity lounge chairs each with a blanket. The room is dimly lit, nice trickling water feature in one corner, tinkling music over the speakers and tiny little lights in the ceiling. Very relaxing atmosphere. It was quite cold, maybe 60 °. When my session was over, I asked for a little tour. They also offer infrared sauna. The great thing is that the sauna bench looks long enough to lay down on and actually relax. The sauna room was very clean. I also looked at the float tank room. It looked clean and had a large, nice shower in the room. They also do foot detox. There were salt lamps, diffusers, jewelry, etc for purchase. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend The Salt Barn. read more

They have music playing in there which you can control to your preference. The ladies working there seemed really nice and knowledgeable, so I'd say the customer service was great. I went to the Salt Barn not knowing what to expect. I wish I could give 10 stars as this facility is a class act all the way around. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The establishment was impeccable! We selected the salt cave and foot detox. The salt cave was cool - as it should be, and we were told ahead of time so we dressed appropriately. It was very relaxing and had great ambiance. The foot detox was both refreshing and interesting. The chart proved to be right on target with my ailments. I enjoyed this so much that I came back three days later to try out the float tank. A beautifully lit room was spotless and very inviting. I am afraid of my head going under water, after some hesitation and the staff reassuring me that I would float - I went in! This was an awesome experience, so relaxing and serene. Just like the staff said it would be. My only wish is that I lived closer than 2,500 miles away, as we were on vacation when I visited. read more

We got a couples package where we got a to experience the sauna, the salt barn, and a detox foot bath. Each experience was an amazing time. I put the same review on Google just so people can see, this place should be 10 stars! I love the sauna and salt cave, both are also always super clean and well stocked too! Jodi, Savannah (and everyone else there) are honestly the best! I few days ago I wasn't able to make an appointment any earlier than 6:30 for a 45 minute sauna session and Jodi was more than happy to still work me in despite closing at 7. They do everything they can to work you in for the salt cave too. They're the most easy to deal with, laid back, friendly staff ever. Over the top stuff like that is never expected, but it's always appreciated! I've been to a lot of places with a nice staff but you rarely see them do everything they can make your overall experience a great one too read more

This place is SO cute, affordable and serene! I compared 4 places before making the hour drive and I'm so glad i chose this place. The lady helping me today was so sweet and accommodating! I'm pretty sure she was the owner. She had so much passion for everything they offered and really wanted to make my visit enjoyable. I loved the salt cave. it was calming and relaxing. The float tub was also amazing! zero gravity, dark room.. serene music and an attractive atmosphere. Complete with shower w/body wash, shampoo and conditioner to wash away the salt. It was my first time and I am so glad I went. I'll be back! ... also bought an adorable salt lantern. They have salt lamps, salt jewlery, nightlights ect. Super cute. I first visited The Salt Barn in Smyrna, TN in October of 2018. I bought 3 visits off Groupon. They have various relaxing things you can do, but I opted for the Salt Cave. I read that it can relax you and help with allergies and asthma. I noticed a difference after the first visit. It was only 45 minutes, but seemed much longer. I felt like I had spent a day at the beach. The other 2 visits were used later the next month. I will be going back since one of my awesome real estate clients bought me 3 more salt cave visits and a Float Tank visit. I love that place and can't wait to try out this Float Tank. I am thinking of buying gift certificates for some of my real estate clients to enjoy. I would encourage everyone to try this relaxing experience. read more

The sparkling lights on the ceiling were very pretty but it was absolutely FREEZING in there, so much so that my fiancé had to leave the session and go back out to the lockers and get his parka! The staff informed us that they like to keep it cold like a real cave but when it's 40° outside, it's very hard to relax when you come inside and the AC is on full blast. There is a fountain in one corner and we were told if we sat over there the trickling water might splash us. I can't imagine getting splashed with water in those temperatures. I had two blankets wrapped around me like a cocoon and I never fully got warm in 45 minutes. I have been to two other salt caves and it was warm and cozy in those. They dimmed the lights way down for most of the session but honestly I would've preferred them to stay on because it gave a nice glow. The music also stopped halfway through the session and so I felt strange in a dark, damp and silent room. A little too cave-y for relaxation, IMO. read more
