I've been going for the salt cave sessions for several years and love it. Today I tried the ionic foot bath (detox). How amazing!! It is a 30 minute session. The water begins clear as it has nothing but the Himalayan salt in it. It will soon change color depending on the toxins and waste in your body. Mine begin turning orange then started getting some green with black flakes, bubbles, and cream/frothy swirls. Afterwards, you are given warm clean water and an invigorating salt scrub to clean the outside of your feet. So refreshing!! Absolutely should do this at least once a week. The atmosphere makes it a great place for a "Girls Getaway Day" of relaxation. However this is certainly for anyone as my husband enjoys coming here also. read more

After a very long and exhausting week, this was a much deserved 45 minutes of relaxation. I didn't experience the dry out that I was expecting and I didn't get cold...Everything I was told to expect, but the calming music and darkness was so wonderful. We were there with some regulars as they helped us get comfy in our chairs. We did a groupon which was affordable. Maybe I will try a massage next time. read more

The employees are extremely nice and welcome you in. Received a gift certificate for a salt cave and foot detox for Christmas. The salt cave portion lasts for 45 minutes. The cave is relaxing with peaceful music, a water feature, a fireplace, and anti gravity chairs. It's a little chilly, but they provide blankets. No cell phone use is allowed in the cave, or talking, which is very nice. I look forward to coming here again. read more

This was my first time visiting a Salt Cave. There are two Serenity locations. The original in Nolensville and this Murfreesboro location is their newest establishment which opened September 2015. The service was great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions, gave tips, and advice. For some reason I thought I would be going to an actual cave, No sir you are not! It was funny because one of the ladies said she's seen people show up in actual cave gear! You don't need to wear anything specific such as cave gear. Some people even had on jeans. Most others in my group wore some type of athletic gear. I also was expecting to sweat since the description says detoxing. No ma'am. You will not sweat. It wasn't hot and it wasn't cold. Everything was just right. Blankets are available if you do get cold and the earphones with meditative music are a major plus. This was my first time and I will probably attend again. It's a great experience to have at last once. Oh my recommendation for the website is to add an FAQ section especially addressing the What to expect question. I googled other salt caves to get a better feel for what I was about to engage. read more

I lucked out and walked in a few minutes before 11 am and they didnt have anyone signed up for the cave so i got to enjoy a solo experience. The cave decor was really nice and the lighting was perfect to rest and zen out. The music on the headphone was pleasant but there was a slight static noise or white noise sound along with it. It didnt bother me as i have a white noise machine when i go to sleep. There was only one staff member so i could tell she was overwhelmed slightly at the end when there was more people to deal with because there was a party of women after me. After i got done checking out i was attempting to acquire how i do future appointments as this time i walked in and wondered if its just me am i able to have a session with other people or is the room reserved per person or for an entire party. So the point i was trying to ask got lost i guess as she was dealing with the party of women. Over all the experience was nice and the staff was friendly. I like that there are lockers to lock your belongings in for security. I also like all the products they have available to purchase. I got a salt lamp shaped like a leaf which is perfect for my office. read more

My co-workers and I needed a break outside of work, but we wanted to break together. What better way to break than in a Himalayan Salt Cave while sitting in a zero gravity chair, right? The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our large group. We had rented the cave for the hour, which was $125. For $12 per person, this was definitely worth it. Once you enter the cave, you are given both noise cancelling headphones that play relaxing music and you are given a blanket. When seated and the session begins, you are transformed into relaxation mode. I had my eyes closed for the majority of it, but it seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves when I did glance around. Best and wierdest nap with a group of people ever. I was discombobulated for hours afterward. I would do it again tomorrow. read more

I find my sessions here to be calming, soothing, and healing. I just love the environment and the ability to totally relax and meditate through the lovely 45 minute experience. The only drawback to this location is that the cave room isn't soundproof. Conversations between staff members and waiting guests, and/or telephone conversations can easily be heard during the session, even with headphones on. I've learned to politely remind the staff member(s) prior to my session that sound carries and ask them to help keep the conversation noise level to a minimum. That has seemed to work nicely. However it would be nice if the shared wall/door could be better insulated. I bring all my Nashville visitors here and it is always one of the highlights of their visit here. We went here for a session. It was amazing. It helps with breathing problems and to relax and meditate. There is relaxing music and lighting and the atmosphere is relaxing. I tend to get stressed and tense and it helped relax me. My sister also thought it was relaxing and helped with her breathing. I would go again and would be a regular patron if I lived closer. I read the yelp reviews and was a little hesitant. I am glad I chose to try it anyways. I did the 30 minute foot bath and Michelle was beyond knowledgeable and fun. She explained every color to us and made us feel better about what we saw . It was a great time and my family and I will definitely be back. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go! Staff is super helpful when i go there and every once in a while I get lucky enough to be in there by myself. They have a charcoal room that i absolutely love, it has deep tissue massage chairs that get really deep. Its my favorite. If you've never been you should definitely go. read more

Do not waste your money on the icon Foot Spa. Do your research. It has already been scientifically proven as a scam . It is nothing more than the rust. Test have been done with feet in it and feet without it equally producing the same reddish brown Gunk that comes from rust from the little machine that produces it at a very fast rate when salt is involved. There is no such thing as detox through the feet. read more

There are a lot of things wrong with the serenity salt cave in Murfreesboro. The staff was rude, didn't welcome anyone into the door, didn't explain anything about the benefits about Himalayan Salt, and were not open for questions. The "amenities" for the "cave" were blankets, heated salt packs, plastic shoe slips, "zero gravity chairs", and headphones. However, the salt packs were cold, and the headphones were not cleaned and did not work properly. When a group left the salt cave, the employees simply put the used headphones back on the racks for customers without cleaning them. I had to get two different headphones, both pairs were not adjustable and staticky. (The "calming music" was staticky it wasn't just straight static.) The "zero-gravity" chairs are not anything they are advertised to be. They are lounge chairs from bass-pro shops. Yes, I'm serious. The chair is made from that scratchy-outdoor- furniture fabric and really sucks for the headrest. However, when the group was lead into the room, the employee left the door open and kept re-opening the door for about 5 minutes and let two other people in about 10 minutes after everyone else first entered the "cave". They also did not have enough headphones for the amount of chairs in the cave so the two new people didn't have headphones. (They also didn't have enough chairs so there was an IKEA chair in the corner one of the late people had to sit in.) Inside the cave was alright but when the door was finally shut, what I'm assuming to be a humidifier came on. The humidifier sounded like someone spraying hairspray right next to your head, and I was across the room from it. There was a little recording about a tiny bit of history about Himalayan salt, and arbitrary benefits to the activity everyone was doing. Like the fact that this salt is antibacterial is cool and all, but I'm just laying in a lawn chair, and that does nothing for me. Also, there were two people in the cave who really got into the whole cave setting, because they were snoring like bears. Think any movie you've ever seen with a cartoon bear... yeah, that's the sound. One woman was talking, loudly, in her sleep between fits of snoring, and the other guy was alternating between snoring and hacking. This went on for the entirety of the 45minute session. My parents both had working headsets, with the volume turned up as loud as it would go, and could still clearly hear our two bear-people. When our time was up, the same guy from the announcement came on letting us know it was time to leave. The employee opened the door and gave no instruction on what to do with our blankets, "heat" pads, shoe covers, or headphones. A woman asked her and received a very curt reply. The employees didn't thank anyone or acknowledge the fact there were customers in the building. Their salt products (lamps, bars etc) were also overpriced. Amazon, Etsy, local stores, or even Home Goods have much better prices on higher quality and better looking/carved lamps. (They have a lamp almost identical in size and color to one I have at home for $45 and mine cost $15.) So, overall this experience left me pissed off and coughing up salt-flavored air for the next hour. I'm sure the benefits will be nice, but I think next time I'll just sit really close to my salt lamp at home rather than spend my time or money here. read more

Was never greeted when I walked in . i waited for 10 min for someone to say something . Employee Amy was very indifferent whe cleaning the headphones then annoyed that I wanted to get into the session I had paid for. The other employee was busy checking out other customers. Cows in a cattle trailer get better customer service. When asking for a mgr i was referred to a website. I work in customer service if I treated my clients like this I would be out of business. I would go to the other location and not waste time or money here. read more

My daughter purchased a visit for me and her to go Mother's Day weekend. I was very disappointed with the experience due to the zero gravity chairs, which I had no experience using. I tried to ask the staff member who put us in the "cave" but all she said was "just turn the levers on the side to adjust" and then shut the door. She did not make sure I understood or was comfortable with the chair. What the heck is that supposed mean? turn it which way, up, down, to the side?? So needless to say I had a very hard time getting the chair in a comfortable position. The chair was noisy if moved during adjustment, so I didn't want to make a lot of noise and disturb the other guests. You are NOT allowed to leave the "cave" for any reason and return so I couldn't go out and ask. (It is also somewhat noisy outside the "cave" with voices of people waiting to get. The lockers are almost directly across from the door. I am average strength, not old and frail, but my daughter had to help me get out of the chair. My back started hurting as soon as I got out of it and hurt for 3-4 days! I decided to contact the manager and let her know of my experience, since this is relatively new to the area. She was very nice and said she would speak to the staff to provide better information. She asked what I would like her to do, I said I would like to return for free and try it again, sitting in the stationary chair. She said she knew the owners would not allow her to give away a visit, she would speak to them and get back to me. She called today (a few days after my call), she was very nice very apologetic and said there is nothing she can do, the owners will not allow her to give any visits for free. REALLY? There were at least 6 empty seats when we were there, so I can't imagine letting me try again should be such an issue. They give away visits with purchase of product and offer Groupons so obviously they give away visits. Not even offered a DISCOUNTED visit?? ESPECIALLY since I was injured by THEIR chairs! I do not fault her, but these owners really should take a lesson in customer service! I have owned several businesses and would NEVER treat a customer like this, especially because I wasn't being mean or anything, just wanted to rectify the situation so I could enjoy the experience as supposedly intended. I originally thought this would be something I would regularly incorporate, but not now! Very very disappointed! read more

I was super excited to try this place out, the excitement didn't last long. When I went into the salt room my headphones didn't work and they just made a static sound. I took of my headphones to try and relax but there were women talking and laughing (which you're told not to do) when the time was up I told the woman with brown hair that worked there about the headphones and she just ignored me, so I told her again. She got an attitude and told me they're not supposed to block out all sound, I explained to her that they made a static sound the whole time. I also told her about the talking, she offered not apology at all. I left more stressed than relaxed and I had intended to purchase a salt lamp but decided not to give them any money. The crappy thing is I have another gift card to use since my mother in law bought 4 of them from Groupon. Might have to try the other location and see if their customer service is any better. read more

This place is amazing. HEALING!!!!! that's the key word. This place is amazing, I felt so relaxed after my cave session and re energized after my detox footbath. If you've never been here you should definitely try it out. They have monthly specials, $15 coupons at Kroger and their staff is 100! they were so helpful, answered all my questions, and were so nice. GOING BACK SOON! :) read more
