Can they accommodate a group of 20?

Yes, they have very large tables there that could seat that many, but I think you may have to call ahead just to let them know you'll have that large of a group there so they can prepare a table for you

Are minors allowed?

Yes... and pets too

Any vegan options?

I did notice that they had salads on their menu. That's in addition to the their plant based menu. That's plant, as in meat packing plant.

Do I need make reservations?

When my Wife and I went on a Friday night we were able to walk right in with minimal wait time. 10 minutes +/- if I recall correctly.

Do you need to be 21 to eat here? Or do they just check your ID when you order a drink?

don't need to be 21 to eat however they will check ID when you order a drink

Are kids allowed after dark? & they sell food till what time?

Are there live music tonight and if yes what's the genre?

Yes live band tonite and also tomo gets jam packed

I cannot see an online place for reservations, do you have to call?

Yes!

When can I visit for live music?

Hi Marissa! Our weekly Free Live Music is every Thursday to Sunday. We post our line up every Thursday on our Instagram @therustichou.

Are dogs allowed while dining in?

I believe they are allowed in the open/outside area of the restaurant.

Do they have their own Parking?

Their parking lot is for valet only and it's just a few steps to the entrance which is dumb. They charge $7 if I remember correctly.

What type of music is most often played?

Do take reservations?

No and the stand by system is a disaster

Does valet take only cash?

Yes, cash only when I was there

What days are live music?

https://therustic.com/musicevents/

Good for kids?

What ages?

Anyone know if they have a party max for covid? I'm looking for somewhere that will allow a group of people for a birthday. Between 15-20 people, or at least allow multiple tables?

Most places top our anywhere from 6-10.... You can call and see what they say but I doubt ANYONE right now would honor such a request for this large of a table, however some get by, by breaking up the group into smaller tables under one or more… Read more

Do they have heaters for outside dining?

Yes! They had many outdoor heaters!

What time does brunch end on Sunday?

Brunch is 10am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday

Had the pleasure of seeing Moon Taxi and Sparkle City Disco here on 9/4/2021. First live music…read moreshow since the pandemic started and it was much needed and rewarding! Very impressed by Sparkle City Disco as the opening act as they played classic disco infused by their own styles. Moon Taxi was amazing as well. They get the crowd into their shows and the energy was off the charts. As for the venue, the shows are on the second floor so be prepared to climb some steps. It has a bar and merchandise table next to the stage and there's plenty of standing room to watch the performance. Standing only from what I saw so wear your most comfortable shoes. Location is in EaDo next to a few bars and eats so it makes for an adventurous night in town. Look forward to more shows here; now they need to book some solid upcoming artists!

I've also been to a couple concerts in the big room like Miguel and most recently Masego. The bigger room is one huge space. It has two bars, one on either side of the stage. You also can go into the smaller room to get drinks in that bar as well. It has a lot less foot traffic and the bathroom in that side is typically cleaner than the main room. Drinks prices are average to what most lounges charge. $8 for a 16 oz beer can and around $15-17 for a drink. Depends on what you get. More if it's a double. You have to get there really early to have time to park and get close enough for a good view. Parking can be crazy and expensive especially if there is an Astros game or a dynamo games going on that day. Sunday there was a soccer game and it took us about 40 min to park. We looked for street parking first, which there was none. And all the lots were up charging because of the games. The one closest to this venue was charging $30! So we found one like 4 blocks away for $15. Wear some real comfortable shoes with good cushion and arch support because you will be standing the whole time. It honestly sucks being short or average height trying to fight for a view. You have to get there right when doors open in order to get close enough to have a fighting chance at having a good view. But who wants to stand for an hour before a concert starts? Doors opened at 7. By the time we got ready, found parking, waited in like and got inside it was about 8:30 and the first act had already started. I've tried to do the window thing where you stand in the middle behind too people. I was able to see for a little while but people of course jam, dance and move. So I couldn't see the whole time. I've had instances where people push past you to get closer and it makes the space tight. At least the sound is good. So even though I couldn't see the whole time, I heard the music clearly. Masego was awesome! I love his music. And I love when artists sound the same as they do when they record music. He is super talented.

I don't remember them serving food while I was there, but the drinks were definitely flowing. The bartender was friendly and quick with the mixes -- no long waits at the bar, which is always a plus when the place starts getting busy. The energy really picked up once the house music got going. The DJ kept the crowd moving, and the whole space felt lively without being overwhelming. I also appreciated that they had plenty of seating, including booths for groups who wanted to sit back, catch up, and still enjoy the music. It's a solid spot whether you're there to dance or just hang out with friends.

I was at House of Blues recently for Oneus concert, which was amazing as always. My review,…read morehowever, is strictly for the venue itself, which was pretty below average to me. The venue does have clear bag and bag check policies, so make sure to check on their policies on their website before arriving. This location hosts multiple different businesses. Once arrived at the location, finding the entrance/floor to the venue itself was confusing unless you've been here before. There was barely any instructions on how to get to the actual venue itself. It is located on the third floor, and the elevator for that is old and smelly. The interior of the venue was not bad, but it wasn't the best either. The venue's lighting was also super dark even before/after the concert. My group had the front row balcony seat, and the view was actually pretty decent. I had purchased the party pass which came with priority entry, a small selection of foods, and a drink. You can find the menu on their website, but the menu is pretty pricey. I got the lemonade and chicken tenders/fries, and they tasted okay. My friend had the second row floor seat (which at certain spots were blocked by stage equipments). She also paid for the associated parking ahead at the time of booking, but the parking turned out to be super far from the venue, which wasn't great either. Overall I probably would not come back here unless there was a concert I really didn't want to miss.

Fortunately when I arrived, I followed the sign to the gate area where there's a more open area for bands to play in an outside covered area. The merchandise tables are on the left when you walk in. Go further to the left and there's a walk-up bar, seating, a small food stand and restrooms behind the bar area. Concerns eased! Had a blast watching the show which included Joey Harkum as the opener and then the Kyle Smith band as the middle act before the main act. The crowd brought awesome energy and all the bands crushed their performances. Plus the floor is very close to the stage so I was able to be up front and center to where you could slap hands with the performers if they feel like it. Only issue is parking. I heard the stories about the parking situations here and noticed that people had trouble parking or trying to figure out if they would be towed. I'd recommend doing lyft/uber here so it's one less headache to worry about. Look forward to more shows here!

There was a guy at the parking lot entrance charging $10 and using a card reader, but there was also a sign in the parking lot that said parking was supposed to be $5 and had a pay station, so idk what that's about, but it didn't seem like a major issue. The venue entrance was basically in the parking lot. With someone there to check tickets/charge entrance all night, it felt like the parking lot would be safe since it was basically being monitored by the door people. The outdoor stage had a really nice vibe with lights and cute decor. I went for a specific dj playing on the 2nd floor though, so I went straight there and enjoyed the music. The ac was blasting on the dance floor. Best ac I've ever experienced at a venue. I don't even think I was sweating, which is unheard of. The sound was also the best out of any venue I've been to, but I was standing in the center of the dance floor with the speakers pointed at me from every direction. The sound wasn't as good outside of those speakers, but I don't remember it being bad. The drink I tried was good, strong, not watered down, but a little pricey. I think a whiskey sour was $16 for one of those smallish plastic cups. Service was quick though and I didn't notice long lines at the bar. Now, for the cons. It was really bright at times. I wish I brought sunglasses. The dance floor felt like it was gonna collapse. You could feel it bouncing up and down because of all the people jumping on it. It made me pretty anxious because of how unstable it felt. The people in the crowd can be too much. This can happen anywhere, but it felt like there were more socially unaware people than other venues because it's open later and probably attracts drunk people wanting to party longer than other venues allow. There were a lot more guys than girls. I'd say maybe 80%. Also a lot of tall people the specific night I went lol that made it even harder to see the dj because the dj booth isn't elevated for some reason. I know the ceiling is low, but PLEASE ELEVATE THE DJ BOOTH. People like to look at the dj, but most people couldn't see him. It makes a huge difference, especially if you're paying a lot for a ticket. All in all, though, the cons weren't that bad and the pros were great! This is now one of my favorite venues to see a dj! I just hope they elevate that dj booth!
