Nicolas David from the Voice has played here numerous times...and this tavern consistently draws acts from the Twin Cities. The best part of the whole deal is that I have never been charged a cover to get in and see good music. Sometimes, during shows, they serve free beer in the back from a keg...most likely PBR. Free music, and free beer? Is this heaven? Looking around the bar, enjoy the years and years of graffiti on the walls in the back of the bar. There are some really great artists in this town...and some fancy poets. The bathrooms are so full of markered writing, you could stand in there for a number of minutes just to take it in. I was impressed with the selection of crappy and not-so-crappy beer, and the service was great. The sound from the stage was great, and there was a little area where people would dance. I found the people watching here to be second to none...such an eclectic mix of society in here.

It's such a shame that this place is having financial trouble. The most iconic thing about the Warehouse is the stairs. I have no idea how the bands carry their stuff up there, but opening the door and being met with all those steps just sets the tone for the night. You know you're in for something different. There are old posters from a bunch of different bands covering the walls. There's a mural on a wall inside in the style of BRUTE! propaganda. For some reason, the aesthetics just seem like what a concert venue *should* be. The venue is unabashedly all ages. That means no booze. Take that for what it is. Personally, I appreciated it when I was younger--it meant no obnoxious drunk assholes! Now that I'm a bit older, I just appreciate the club's commitment to providing a positive environment for kids in Wisconsin who need a different kind of community than is offered at hometown football games.

They have a wide variety of martinis, whether you like more of a fruity vibe, a dessert vibe, a chocolate vibe, they have it all! My go to is their namesake, the Starlite, though their seasonal drinks are not to be slept on!! My only gripe is that while I love live music, it is a smaller space so when there is live music, it is LOUD. Don't anticipate being able to hold a conversation during a band's set. The lounge is also on the second floor of a historic building... so be prepared for a rather steep set of stairs to take you there.

As I exclaimed about the Spruce-A-Lootel "it's not offensive like I assumed and was pleasantly palatable". The Shitty Lyte beer I expected to taste like a regular domestic... had a little..something to it, I can't describe it, but a little punch. Jenna was attentive and funny my whole visit despite the bar filling up w customers. All the customers were equally as funny as we all talked and joked. Don't skip past Pearl Street and your directions are correct when it reads to take a left in to what looks like an apartment parking lot... you go the short distance past that to Pearl Street. I liked that the brewery really covered your palate with light to hoppy to malty and flavorful. I really enjoyed the Siberian Disco Toasted Stout and Java Lava Coffee Stout. I also enjoyed my Old Fashioned, they have a menu of cocktails as well. I definitely won't be waiting another four years for my third stop in to Pearl Street. A week after we visited there someone vandalized the back or side of the building with graffiti, which is unfortunate! I hope that the musty smell can get cleared out somehow because that's a little overwhelming, but I think it's just from being closed up for so long. We will definitely be back! Sounds like it might only be open for shows and weekends but If I lived here I I would come to hang out all the time! My wife and I are vegetarian and they did a great job in catering to our needs. We ended up ordering a vegetarian taco/nacho buffet and a charcuterie board with no meat. This is where the pleasantries will end. Fast forward to our wedding reception day. We walk into the venue and the first thing we notice are multiple platters of meat on our charcuterie board. Tough start to the night.......as we were wanting a meat free wedding. To us, eating vegetarian is a very important value and seeing the meat was pretty devastating. Next, the power temporary went out (due to a nasty storm) so we weren't able to use the nacho cheese machine (something we paid for). Lastly, the leftovers were thrown away when we were told that they'd be packaged up. Coming to present day. We just got off the phone with our caterer contact, Jessica Koenen. We would have been fine with an apology and a small refund on the food that wasn't used and the meat. Even with all that happened, Jessica was not willing to refund us for even a small portion of our bill and even insinuated that it was our fault for not confirming with her that we didn't want meat on the charcuterie board. She wasn't willing to take responsibility for THEIR mistake. We even have it in our wedding notes to ask about a meatless charcuterie board- which we did discuss with her at our tasting. She then had the audacity of saying that we should have noticed on the invoice that it said "Charcuterie board" instead of "Charcuterie board without meat". There was NO WAY that we would have known that!! All our other vendors sent us a partial refund for the services that weren't provided because of the power outage even though they had no control over the weather. That is how business is done. 4 sisters catering decided to blame us for the charcuterie board, nacho cheese, and leftover food. They decided to take no responsibility for the night. We would have been fine with a $100 refund for the nacho cheese. Even though the total cost that we already paid for and was wasted on the day over was substantially more. Lack of responsibility is not how quality businesses operate. I would avoid using 4 sisters and Jessica for your next event.

Kind of torn on this review…read more Grounded has a great patio and well-priced drinks. I just would say I haven't been super impressed by their drinks. I tend to prefer places that make some of their own syrups, etc. and from what I can tell, Grounded doesn't really do much from scratch, which is fine, just not my preference. Their drinks are usually good. I was kind of disappointed to see their even their seasonal specialty drink was not a homemade syrup. My biggest complaint is their cold brew is super weak/too watered down. Service is usually okay, cleanliness is usually okay as well. I do love their expanded hours, so we do stop here when others are closed.
