The chips and salsa were cheap like they came from bulk from Sam's Club. it was freezing in the building and their unsweet tea was grainy and tasteless almost bitter I got the cow patty and it was so salty and doused in cheese. read more

This was my first time coming here. I had no idea it had been open for a year. Pretty good selection on their menu. I certainly believe it could be better however for Mount Pleasant it's pretty decent. It gives you another option if you're looking for something more than Mexican food in the area, which we have a lot of Mexican restaurants in Mount Pleasant and Pittsburgh area. They also have lots of items on their menu, I would certainly come here again. I like the building and I like the rustic style they added to the store. read more

Ok, little less than 5 stars, but above 4. My wife and I split "The Hooey" (steak fingers) had mashed potatoes and onion rings. Son had chicken tenders with deep fried and okra. Everything was excellent. Wait staff was extremely friendly. BUT WAIT.....The buttermilk pie was outstanding. Looking forward to trying out their entire menu. Talk about an amazing place!! The atmosphere is wonderful. The service top notch!! The food was beyond delicious! I had The Hooker, crispy chicken on a bed of lettuce with bacon and cheese. My hubby had The Big Daddy, chicken fried steak with gravy and fries. Both were so good. Huge helpings too. Had a Peach cobbler for dessert. read more

We went on a Saturday at 5 pm. It was about 3/4 full of customers. We did not have to wait. About the food: stuffed jalapeno appetizers were very good and as were calf fries. I had a filet mignon which was slightly overcooked but no big deal. Baked potato was ice cold but my server brought another one about 20 min later. Green beans are straight out of the can so don't bother. Fried okra was amazing. Chicken fried steak and chicken tenders were large portions and delicious. Service: pretty good. Our order was correct. It seems like our server had more to do than she was able to manage. Building is very rustic with super cute rustic rodeo type decor. Menu items are all rodeo themed, also cute. Accurate descriptions of menu items. I would recommend this business and plan to return. read more

This was a mini-family reunion. Portions are large, I could not believe how thick the chicken fried steak is. The deep-fried potato skins are really potato wedges (and quite filling). The waitress kept the drinks filled up. Enjoyed the classic country (70s and 80s) music and using different platters is quite charming. Wish I could give a true review, sat for 15 minutes after being sat at a table. Nothing... no waiter, asking for a drink order, or if you need more time. More like ignoring we were sitting there and helping the table next to us. Maybe they can get it together, food looked good. Well, I wrote about my experience on a private local FB page and was attacked by the mob that this family has following them around like lost puppies. So I'll write a brief one here. Maybe I won't be call a "stupid b**ch" by some random fangirl. Long story short it was terrible food, undercooked and slimy breaded everything. A steak house with two steaks?? The teenage server (which is great that they are working) was walking around blowing bubbles and popping them over food (disgusting). Yes the owner did refund our meals. We didn't eat them, two had to be send back because they were completely wrong, and the others were all missing at least one thing that came with it, gravy, ranch, roll. Even the sprite that came out was just carbonation, no flavor. I understand there are bad days, but to verbally attack a person because of her experience? I was not disrespectful to the business or anyone else, I was hoping for great food and a great time. We did pay in full for everything, even the food we didn't receive, I called and chatted with the owner after we left, and she offered a refund. In no way did I anticipate it, I just wanted to let her know what had happened. read more
