Stopped by here for some pie and cake during a road trip. We took our items to go but the service was AMAZING! Very friendly and welcoming people. Price point is fair. Parking is easy to find. Strawberry cake was good and moist. Tried the fried pickles and they use batter that is similar to funnel cake batter so I couldn't really decide if I liked it or not, I kept waiting for a crunch that never came but it was different. Wow!!!! This place is a hidden gem. I was in town from ATX on business and the hotel clerk recommended this amazing spot. When I arrived I thought to myself is this a fast food drive though place lol, well don't judge a book by it's cover. I ordered the chicken fried steak, chipotle gravy (heavenly) . We did not have enough good things to say about this restaurant. We pulled off the freeway with our 40ft fifth wheel looking for breakfast. The owner came out and greeted us personally and was exceptionally accommodating to allow us room to park. The ambiance of the restaurant and staff is very welcoming, plenty of employees working, and wonderful service! The interior was impressively clean and the decorations were fun. The service was quick and the food was delicious, especially the sausage gravy and biscuits and the French toast. Inside the place was cozy yet the ceiling was huge! It had a cool artwork piece of the State of Texas made entirely out of license plates (Texas):) the food was good and the service was also great. This place was an unexpected treat on our drive. Chef/owner stopped by to say hi and ask how we like the meal. Regulars were super friendly. We see why this place gets a loyal following. A little confusing when you come in, you don't know if your to stand and wait for a server/host or just pic a table. Tables vary in sizes and are more like a rustic atmosphere. After standing and waiting we just asked a employee we saw if we could grab the last table left. Another couple came in right behind us and the table sat 6 people so we asked them to join us so they didn't have to wait. I didn't see much of anything that I wanted to eat so I thought I try their chicken Keto bowl. Not sure I understand the Keto meals but mine was like a bowl of oil and veggies with chicken. It's a very good beef / steak house and an excellent bakery. The steak house was 4 star and the bakery was 5 stars so I gave it 5 stars. Pickup some bakery items to take with you, we did. You will need to season your own steak since the steak doesn't come with significant seasons. Very clean and very organized. The food was great! But the service was not good. And the menu pricing was VERY deceptive. It is worded that "all meals" come with fries and drinks. My husband ordered a GF meal. When we checked out, we were informed that "oh the GF meals are different. The fries and drinks are not included in the price." WOW! And this is a Christian place. There are Bibles on the tables. I had high hopes for this restaurant. But I was let down. The eggs were bland and poorly cooked. The sausage patties were Sysco frozen Pattie's or something similar. The fried okra tastes similar to Kroger prebreaded frozen okra. The tea was good and the waffle was above average. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you like the Waffle House. This is a great place for really good home cooked food. Bisquits are soft and buttery delicious and the bacon is the best I ever had!!!

They have build your own burger and the meat is grilled to perfection. The waffle fries are great and the onion rings delicious. The special was meatloaf, which my husband ate and said was great as well. Afterwards we got a wedding cake cup to go that was delicious as well. The desserts look scrumptious. We ordered after being there about 15 minutes and and after waiting almost 30 minutes the waitress an over and states there was a large group that they were have to get ready first. We finally received our food after 45 minutes . We all ordered chicken fried steak and it was so overcooked you could barely cut it with a knife. First and foremost, this is a Christian based establishment. There are bibles at every table for prayer time before and after. Was to fulfill my New Year's resolution of talking about God everyday. I had the Marshall and it was tasty and lots of food. The potato salad wasn't bad. They give out the same cup for sodas and water which is simple and good. The place is amazing with decor that can only fit in a barn like the giant size license plate Texas size art and wood finishes. They also gave discounts for educators and first responders as well as seniors. I think we surprised them as we are pretty liberal, but still God-Focused maybe not at this level. This has to be one of the most interesting places I have ever gone to. So big red white and blue Barn that you would probably mistake for some kind of farm supply store and blow past. But yeah that's a restaurant. You walk in and there is no pretension of any kind. Customers have to get up and get their own drinks, I honestly was a little scared at this point. Waitress comes slaps down a menu...everything is gluten-free and I'm feeling a bad vibe. Then the chef comes out who also happens to be the owner starts talking about their background in fine cooking and culinary school. And what comes next is one of the best steaks I have had in a long time at a price that was honestly a steal. The discordance between the food and its presentation kind of cost it that 5th star for me, but trust me give this place a world. Oh... and super weird hours, before you go here call first. We went on a Friday night and had an incredible experience and brought back a ton of people on Saturday only to find that it doesn't serve dinner on Saturday. Who does that? These people. But I have to tell you that we finally chased down their open hours and are headed back this Friday. Solid meal.
