We just stopped back in today at the new location and loved it. You don't have to fight with any parking issues at all now, they have plenty of parking available now. It seems like that they have a lot more dining space too. I don't know if we really ever been charged extra for any condiments, I know that when we asked for extra butter or something like that we have received plenty of it. When I had a food choice dilemma, the server usually would give me both if it was a small order of something at no extra cost. They always go the extra mile to satisfy us. Today we even paid for an elderly couple's bill, and slid out the door without them knowing about their bill being take care of by us. Hopefully it made their day. We can't afford to do that often, but if we see a Veteran or an elderly couple, just our way of thanking them without them knowing who did it. But we love the new location and as always tip the staff well when they do good. read more

We walked inside for the first time and it was just what a country diner should look like. Beautiful wood tables. Waitress sat us quickly and delivered our drinks. She gave us her recommendations but we both were hungry for a hamburger. It was great. Fries and okra were too. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean. They had extra fans blowing everywhere, so it was nice and cool. Plenty of parking. Place is alittle off the beaten path but with the extra time for a nice relaxing lunch! We try not to do corporate food so I had done a little research so we heard over to the Country Cafe. It was definitely a better choice!!! There was no wait. I loved the options for Breakfast. My husband had the chicken fried steak and eggs. They accompanied my special requests (allergies) and I was able to get just 1 crepe with nothing except a few fresh berries. Hands down the best breakfast in Mount Pleasant and Pittsburg area. Come early, not a huge restaurant and now that the secret is out (new cafe). It gets busy quickly and a wait! We had good service, even though our server was a newbie, and it was very busy on Father's Day, I did have a problem with my food order. The Mascarpone on the Very Berry Crepes had a sour odor and wwas spoiling, and when I pointed out to the person who appeared to be the manager that it shouldn't be served to anyone else, she agreed with me. There was no apology forthcoming or suggestion of replacing the order. I did scrape of the spoiled topping and ate the crepes. The least that should have happened was an apology. Shame on her. I should add that my family has eaten here many times while we have visited over the last three years, with a much better experience. The new venue in the Old Red Barn property is a bit loud. read more

Update March 2024: I have been talking about this place since coming here last January. My husband always looks at me like I am crazy because I go on and on about how yummy the food is here! So, we arrived in town for the Eclipse on Friday and told our friends (who introduced me to this place) that we needed to come here the next morning....and we did. And of course- this place did not disappoint. We had Janeth as our waitress and she was super sweet, she got our orders all correct and that was super impressive considering that all of us added this and that, removed or changed that and this....and she took each of our orders with a smile. This place....gosh if you have the opportunity to come here...take it! The prices are fabulous for the portion sizes and the food is phenomenal!!!! I of course got my crepes (to go) and enjoyed grits and an altered eggs benedict for breakfast at the restaurant. My husband got his usual corned beef hash and our friends always love the platters with sides of biscuits and gravy. The table was completely overflowing with all the food! And you are going to have a wait on a Saturday morning but it is totally worth it! read more

Arrived after attending a Dr's appointment in town, and we were seated promptly. The waitress handed us our menus and offered us a booster seat for our 4yo we agreed, she then personally assisted my 4yo into the seat. She was prompt with our drinks, I had the house coffee and it was delicious. Shortly after she took our order and gave great detail to the difference between the breakfast and lunch chicken fried steak (10/10). Eggs were cooked perfectly (I'm picky) chicken fried steak was tender, and the hash browns crispy. They had a wide variety of jellies and jams also PB for your bread fiancé got his chicken fried steak with a side of pancakes (2 eight in) he greatly enjoyed his meal and so did our 4yo.
