My first time here because of a recommendation. The joint wasn't too busy but the order took some time. I just got a bacon burger and fries. My coworker got a cheeseburger, hot dog and fries. He always gets his beef cooked to well done (it's a culinary travesty!). I said that the patty was dry and overcooked...and he agreed. The fries were large but unsalted. I have heard good things, so I thought I would stop by while in town. I had an appetite, so the double was in order. I added bacon and grilled mushrooms. Review: Now the burger was hot, fresh and juicy. The tomatoes had a nice red color (not orange). The mushrooms bacon and mustard really created a nice tasting burger. The meat was not overly seasoned. The juice and fat took care of the flavor. I dinged a star because my french fries were not hot; not warm either. They were room temperature. They had a good flavor, but some freshness and heat would have enhanced that. Price/value: 19 dollars and change for a large drink, cup of fries and a large double meat. Before you think this is too much, i submit that one of these patties is equal to 2 or 3 of tour average fast food patties. Additionally, these are fresh patties cooked to order. In conclusion, the food value for the price was more than acceptable. I will return. read more

My mother and I ate lunch there today. We each got a single patty burger and shared a small fries. Even though the amount of food is worth the price, my burger was overcooked (very dry) and had little flavor. Additionally, our fries were just room temp. We were passing through town and decided to stop. We love eating locally and skipping chains. These burgers are expensive but we understood why when we got our meals. The burgers are thick! A single patty is like a double. Flavor was good but the meat was a little dry. The chicken salad was just the right size and was delicious. I added bacon which made it even better. Randy's Burgers is basically the competition of Mount Pleasant Burgers and Fries. Randy's does feature a greasier burger, so if you like that kind of thing, Randy's is for you! I do know that they have amazing cheese fries and cheese tots. One huge bonus is that Randy's customer service is top notch. They are always super friendly. I like that. I like people who are just as happy to serve my food as I am to eat it. Randy's is a classic, home made tasting burger joint. Much better than Mickey D's, and Burger King, and Whataburger. Wife spent the better part of an hour looking for sushi closer then 2 hours away. Eventually we decided on something local and found randy's. Outstanding burgers and the chili is gonna be great on my eggs for breakfast. The servings were too big to finish so we took the milkshakes to go. Tye service was also on point. Food was good, for the little while that it was hot!!!. Ordered a double meat and fries and drink for a whopping $12 and change.....but any way. Server was ok, but not respectful to the customer that I'm used too....there was alot of "yeah" and "un-huh". But the burger was massive and the fries plentiful, but three bites in and I was done. Fries were ice cold and burger was cooling off. They should really consider the A/c and the vent locations in the sitting area. Made the whole experience not as enjoyable. But again food was good. Homemade. Unhealthy. Delicious. It is hard to make 4 star burgers and fries, but these guys are the best in town. A value meal will run you about $7.50-$8.50, so this place isn't cheap. It looks like an RV Overhang garage that was painted with left over Tan and Hunter Green paint, so it won't impress with some cool 60's architecture. But the staff here is friendly even by East Texas standards, and the fries are serendipitous. If you like Sonic Burgers, then you will love this place. The burger is Sonic Style...white bread bun, thin patty, mustard/mayo, lettuce and tomato. Randy's Burgers also has a drive thru and outdoor seating, so it is very kid friendly. The menu also has Frito pies, sausage, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, and a few more options. Just don't go on Sundays or you will be disappointed by the sign that reads "On God's Day we are closed." read more

Randy's burgers needs to hire more people to accommodate the amount of orders being placed and the tables outside need to be cleaned and the roofs also need to be dusted and the spiderwebs need to be cleaned up above my head tables had bird Feces on them and was disgusting because that is where the costumers eat. The burgers here use to be delicious and old fashion, along with there cheese fries,but something is different about it now. Staff is still super friendly,but the burgers just don't quite taste the same. Some people say the "other" place has the best burgers, but I disagree. The best burgers are at "Randy's Burgers"! We moved here 9 years ago and have yet to have a bad experience at Randy's. This place rules as far as a burger joint goes!! I got the Double meat cheeseburger, tator tots and a drink. there is so much food it's well worth the money. If you go to Whataburger you will pay just as much or more and you get more for your money at Randy's. When i'm in that area again I will surely go back!!! The only negative thing is they need to put the drink machine out front where customers can get their own drinks. I waited like 15 minutes and they still hadn't brang my drink and they were filling other customers drinks that came in behind me. I have eaten burgers all over Texas. Even in Irving, Tx. Randy's burgers are not greasy , nor are there fries. Juicy burgers in Longview, Tx are pretty good. I think they both rank 4 stars. So, the size or lack there of of a small or large city, has nothing to do with the goodness you will get from a Randy's burger & fries. read more
