Salmon with coconut risotto

Fantastic service by Bri. Good ambiance. Food was mainly a hit! Mushroom gnocchi - I ordered this and was underwhelmed. It didn't taste bad but didn't really taste like anything, certainly not mushrooms. Maybe change to a ravioli? Quite bland and very disappointing Mac'n'cheese: OMG SO EFFIN GOOD! The perfect amount/quality of bacon took this to next level and love that you used cellentani pasta to hold extra cheesy goodness. It was seriously soooo good Brussel sprouts: BOMB. Cooked perfectly where they tasted roasted but weren't burned and had a layer of sweetness to them Baked brie: I mean...melted cheese in puff pastry? Add yummy berry spread? Amazing Everything: I didn't get my friends reviews as we were too busy chatting away but everyone looked like they loved their meal! Cake fee: $25 to cut and serve a cake we brought? A little exorbitant. $15 feels better for this service.

Absolutely devastated to hear this place closed. The service was always 10/10 and the Sangria was phenomenal! Even the food was cooked to each person's liking. The BEST salmon filet I've ever had. Uncomplicated seasonings yet perfectly cooked! Going to miss the beauty of this place as well.

Aside from the hostess having an issue with our request to move tables, telling us tables are reserved (when that's not the case) and failing to return to assist, we've had pleasant experiences on our visit. I hate that I forgot our server's name today as we've not only had him a few times, he provides excellent service each and every time. The food here is pretty good and by far my favorite is the calamari. It's cooked to perfection and well-seasoned...a hit every time.

We came here tonight with family for my husband's birthday after Bolero was not able to accommodate walk-ins. The wait here was only 30 minutes long on a Saturday night, and that probably should have been a red flag. We ordered a bottle of 2019 Muscat Canelli, calamari, oysters natural, avensole Caesar, avensole burger, smokehouse burger, salmon and duck. My favorite dishes of the night were the oysters (so fresh and delightful) and Caesar salad (really unique and delicious with the pumpkin seeds and bacon). My avensole burger was huge, but it was not seasoned with salt and just tasted like meat. The other family members who ordered burgers doused theirs in ketchup to give them flavor. Sure, the meat was fresh, but that was it and all you tasted. We also felt that the serving of fries on the side was stingy, which was unfortunate because that was the best part of the dish. My husband ordered the duck, and it came out well-done. It was tough and dry, and the accompaniments just did not pair well with the dish overall. Service was mediocre. We asked two different servers for knives, which neither brought us. They did not take away any of the empty plates until the very end of the meal. It was nice of them to give us a complimentary slice of cheesecake for my husband's special day. This dessert ended up being overwhelmingly sweet (funny, in comparison to their bland burgers). There are lots of spots outside the restaurant to take beautiful photos, and parking is plentiful. For the price, I can't really say I would recommend this place and do not understand how it is rated so highly.

Brunch is no longer the name for a meal you eat that's a little late for breakfast and a little early for lunch. It's now really just an excuse to drink before noon without feeling like a degenerate. There are even restaurants that are solely open just for brunch. These restaurants tend to cater to the "linner" crowd as well. It's not open too early and not open too late. The Restaurant at Avensole is one of these. My wife decided she wanted to drink before noon the last time we visited Temecula. This is not uncommon in Temecula. It is also, for this reason, that Temecula has no shortage of these eateries. Although most places were booked the day before, I was able to get a 10:30 am reservation at Avensole the night before on Open Table. We had been to the winery before but this was the first for the restaurant. The place looks wonderful. The dining room is a covered open air area with a beautiful fountain in the middle that is exposed, letting sunlight in. The service was very friendly and attentive. I feel like three stars is actually a little low, because I liked this place and I'd come back, but some of the food was not quite 4 star worthy. I ordered the Avensole Benedict that was just ok. It was served on two very small pieces of dry bread with pre-cooked lukewarm warm bacon and dry home style potatoes. The eggs however were nicely poached. My wife had the lox plate which looked great, because it was served with a healthy portion of lox. Unfortunately, the lox was not up to standard. In fact she mentioned the lox we buy at Costco is much better. On the other hand I did order a waffle appetizer that was amazing and my Bloody Mary was one of the best I've ever had. It was served with the same bacon on my Benedict, several olives and jalepenos. For some reason, when the bacon is soaking in tomato juice and vodka- not that bad. I also tried my friends steak and eggs, and the steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I enjoyed my meal at Avensole. Id like to go back and try different things. However, I believe there was a reason i was able to get weekend brunch reservations at this place rather than a few others up the road that I know are better. However, if given the chance, or looking for a nice place to have a nice meal amongst the vineyards, I'd give it another try.

No wait going on a Friday after we attended their popup speakeasy (there was nothing about it that was speakeasy, just an outdoor venue) . Got seated in 5 minutes. Ordered our food and drinks. Drinks came right away. It was 6:45 when we entered the restaurant, we didn't get our food for 1 hour. I even asked the waitress what happened to our food she said it was coming out just now and it didn't come to us for another 10 minutes. Avensol burger it was good. The fries were the best, but not worth $30

Avensole Rendezvous sparkling wine

I was in Temecula to attend a concert at Pechanga Resort but was staying 7 miles away so I used OpenTable to find places for lunch and dinner. Avensole came up and the ratings were very good and the menu looked interesting so I booked a table for 1 on Friday (Oct. 27). The main portion of the restaurant is in an open air terrace. They had the clear screens down because it was in the 50s - 60s. It made for a crisp dining experience. There was a guitarist off in the corner ... he was very good. I opted for the jar of Osetra Siberian caviar ... you could order a taste for $20 or a jar for $100. I opted for the latter because I love caviar. I ordered a glass of their Rendezvous sparkling wine to go with the caviar. This was a crisp sparkling wine; I liked it. A waiter brought my caviar and I had to ask "Is this the jar?" because the plate had a pearl spoon with a dollop of caviar. The correct plate came shortly thereafter. I guess not many people order the "jar"? It was good caviar and was served with crisps of puff pastry and I believe sour cream. All I need are toast points so I never use any of the accoutrements that come with caviar. The pieces of puff pastry were perfect. I chose the Elk Wellington for my entrée; I love game and the Wellington preparation. Hopefully, it's done well. To pair with the elk, I added a side of grilled asparagus and a glass of 2020 Retaggio, their award winning blend of zinfandel and cabernet sauvignon. I'd never had a blend of these grapes so it was a "must try". The wine was lightish is coloration but full of fruit and spice. I think the zinfandel predominated but that's fine; I love zins. The elk was lean and tender and perfectly cooked. I asked for the rare side of medium rare and that's what I received. There were four large pieces (two would have been perfect). Their take on a Wellington was to use prosciutto and sautéed spinach in addition to the duxelles. I'm not a fan of prosciutto in a Wellington because it adds unwanted salt. The medallions were served on a bed of garlic potato puree and surrounded by demi sauce. My issue was that the puff pastry was not flaky; it was soggy. Was that because I asked for it other than medium rare or because it picked up moisture from the potato puree? I'm pretty particular about Wellingtons because I make it from time to time. It's a lot of work and everything must come together to achieve perfection. I didn't have room for dessert so I just had a cup of coffee. What did I think? I loved the ambiance, the music, and the food was very good. The wines were excellent. I just wish the puff pastry in the Elk Wellington was less soggy and would have been happy with just two pieces. Four is too much food for this senior citizen. My meal cost $238.18 and I added a $50 tip. I can give Avensole 4.5 stars; I enjoyed my time here.

After first stopping at another restaurant, I checked Yelp and found this super cute place! Their pictures of the food looked amazing and I was worried it would be too good to be true. But nonetheless we ran off and came to Avensole. Although there are arrows pointing for which way to turn for the restaurant, the building itself is kind of vague. It is the one the farthest to the left with the outdoor patio. Check in at the huge front "desk" and get seated! I love the fact that they have open kitchen to see what is going on. The patio itself is also very very pretty and not too loud! We got Drinks: Red wine (5/5) Tropical breeze (5/5) fruity and not watered down! Apps: Cheese board (4/5) gorgeous but very expensive Food: Brie grilled cheese (4/5) Yummy but very expensive BBQ chicken flatbread (3/5) cream sauce base wasn't the best Butchers choice flatbread (4/5) not enough "stuff" on it Chicken club (5/5) huge sandwich, super tasty Avensole Burger (3/5) meat was dry Service was great, honestly everything was just perfect. The food was so pretty and so was the view. Only tip is that this place is very very expensive for food, but we'll worth it if you want to spend the money!

BBQ chicken flatbread was soggy

Bree is a 5 star waitress and it's absolutely beautiful here. I loved my wine!! The food is mediocre at best. BBQ chicken flatbread was soggy. Ceviche was weird with squid mixed with salmon. I definitely would not recommend it. The flourless chocolate cake for bf's birthday was delicious!!

The food here was no joke. I was super impressed! First we went for a wine tasting in the tasting room which was super spacious both inside and out. We had two stroller with us and we were able to still stand at the bar and do our tasting. The staff was SUPER friendly in helping us select our tastings, give tasting notes, providing new glasses etc. I enjoyed a lot of the wine we tasted and it seems like they had something for every kind of wine drinker. Great selection. The restaurant was by far the highlight! Great cocktail list and they offer all their wine to enjoy there as well. We ordered for the table, a barbacoa flatbread, brussel sprouts, chicken club sandwich with fries, and the celebration salad. The barbacoa flatbread was awesome. I would eat that every day, though it was a tad on the greasy side it was still so good. The chicken on the sandwich was nice and juicy and the bacon was crisp. Fries were perfectly crunchy. The salad was nice and fresh, I thought it could use a little more dressing but the beets were delicious and sweet. Loved the view overlooking the tasting room and courtyard area. Very family friendly.

Cheer's!

Drove out to one of my favorite restaurants in the wineries...Avensole! I find it peaceful, modern rustic and a view over looking the vineyards are a few things that I enjoy along with the food and service. For the many years of coming out to the restaurant, one face that has been constant is Marleen and she has been my favorite amongst the many that have come and gone...so keep up the great work! On this occasion I met up with some friends from work and started off in the tasting room trying some new and old blends before heading up to the restaurant for dinner. I strongly recommend taking time doing this so that you can enjoy the property and all that it has to offer. See you soon!

Calamari good

Service was great they allow dogs on the patio. Calamari good. Beef Wellington raw with raw dough. I like this restaurant but not this time. They did not charge us for the beef but chef take it off the menu if you can't cook it properly.

Chicken Club sandwich w/ side salad w/ white balsamic vinaigrette - very good
Amber E.

Stopped in for a mid-week lunch. It was a warm day, but chilly on the shaded patio, so sat inside. We started w/ the roasted Brussel sprouts, with pomegranate reduction and goat cheese - really tasty! Then split the Chicken Club sandwich, topped w/ a generous piece of perfectly cooked chicken breast, butter lettuce, house made pickles, bacon, tomato and aioli on a brioche bun (bun was a bit dry), but loved the with a side salad w/ white balsamic dressing - yum! My hubby had a glass of the Zinfandel Rose, and I had the Sangiovese. Our server, Hannah, was very friendly and helpful, and service was quick. Recommend!

Is there brunch on Saturdays?

Not sure if they have a special brunch, but the entire menu pretty much lends itself to brunch. Lots of sweet and savory plates.

Hello Vince E. Yes, we will be open on Friday, November 24th. Please feel free to book a reservation, we look forward to serving you!

Does the menu changes, i made a reservation for this coming friday and just curious if the tomahawk steak will be in the menu?

I'm not sure, it's been on the menu the last few times I've even there, I do no a few things on the drink menu changed, from summer to fall drinks , Enjoy the Avensole

Does the restaurant close at 8pm on saturdays on the dot or do they let you hang out for a while longer?

My only experience was with the wine tasting room and they closed'on the 'dot''. Ww were asked to leave the property exactly at 5pm. We were offered plastic cups to empty our wine glasses and leave. I don't know how the restaurant operates but same…

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes! I believe you can bring your dog on the restaurant patio.

How do I get in contact with management? My daughter is having a wedding there this September 2022. There's some issues that the new hired wedding coordinator is not able to resolve. She stated that "the owner does not talk to the public".

I'd call the Winery, or drive there and make formal inquiry if your issue is one to be addressed with the actual property, their prep, etc.. It's their venue, not the wedding planners... although, you'd think the wedding planner could provide you…

Do you need reservations for wine tasting?

You can make reservations but it is not required .

A few months before I ask for if "emotional dogs" allow at the outdoor patio seat ,but they says No ! Can you confirm the current policy?

What is the drive leading up to the winery like? Are there any lights along the road? Will be coming to this winery for a wedding and want to prepare accordingly.

It's a typical two lane road after you turn off the highway. There are a couple lights near the shopping centers but as soon as you pass that (may take 5 mins max) then it's a straight shot without any lights

Avensole Winery is pleased to welcome well behaved dogs on the Tasting Room Patio and service animals only at the Restaurant.

SHORT VERSION: Wilson Creek Manor is an Avantstay property…read more "Unparalleled service" is supposedly one of their hallmarks but all I got was very poor service. Oh, and by the way, the previous owner MURDERED someone on this property. LONG VERSION: Booked Wilson Creek Manor directly through Avantstay's website but the day before check-in I got an email saying they had to cancel my reservation because of a broken water heater. Why wouldn't you CALL instead of just emailing? My reservation was less than 2 days away, call and leave a voicemail. I called Avantstay immediately after I saw the email and the call gets routed to some overseas call center. The person can't help and says they'll reach out to the dept that handles this and I should hear back within the hour. 1.5 hours later I still haven't received a callback so I call again. Same response, said I should hear back in an hour. 1.5 hours later, still no call, I call again, now they say I should receive a call by 5pm (5.5 hours later). My check-in date is the NEXT DAY! 5pm might be too late because what if they don't call me back and everyone goes home for the day? Then they change their answer to someone will call back in an hour. But I've heard that one before. FINALLY someone who can help calls back and finds me a replacement property. After we hangup I discover a hiccup. One of the families staying with us was planning to bring their dog they noticed that the new property doesn't allow pets. We paid a pet deposit so this is something that Avantstay should've caught and pointed out. That family had to find a last minute accommodation for their dog so that was another added inconvenience. Another hiccup: I was told I'd receive check-in instructions the next morning. On the way to the property my wife asks for the details of how to get inside the property so she could send it to the other families. Realized I didn't receive those details. Had to call Avantstay once again. Another inconvenience. This is all BEFORE we even stepped foot onto the property. While on the property we discovered someone was MURDERED in that house. This spooked everyone and no one was able to sleep well. Great spot, amazing wedding venue, great wine....but the highlight is the shuttle driver…read moreGiovanni....what a great guy....made the visit more than worth it!

Please do your homework and do your research about this venue before booking!…read more First of, our son and daughter in law booked this venue way too early, like a year and half before their wedding date. Although it is a pretty venue, the communication from their staffing is horrible!!! They don't return phone calls or emails after they get your booking. My husband and I wanted to get involved prior to our son's booking, but our son is 27 yrs old. We thought he's old enough to handle doing business with this venue. Wrong! This venue knows how to up-sale about their property. They know that young brides and grooms are emotional. They capture on that emotion and tells you anything to get the booking. Lisa, the manager couldn't careless after she received the deposit and final payments. I've called and left numerous messages multiple times with the venue staffers that I needed to speak to Lisa. Not once did she ever returned my phone calls. On the day of the wedding, as the mother of the groom, I was served pizza!!! Our son asked about a special menu for vegetarians, pescatarians and vegans. During the sales pitch, their salesperson told our son and his bride that there wasn't any issues making special meals for those guests, me being one of them. Can you believe the nerve of this venue served me pizza on the day of the wedding??? Before the wedding, our son and his bride did the food testing. They were told no one else could come to do the food tasting. Mind you, we were the ones that paid for this venue. Our daughter in law forwarded me an email from the venue, by their chef, that no one else could come to the food tasting. Anyhow, not only myself was given pizza, our other 2 guests were also served pizza. Mind you, there were only 3 guests total that had a special dietary restriction. I was so embarrassed and horrified. I had to tell my aunt and the bride's grandmother weren't notified ahead that the venue was serving individual pizzas to dietary guests. The venue could at least offered some sort of vegetables or couscous, but nope, nothing!!!!! I can give you a very long list, but I'll only give 3. Number 1: Food wasn't cracked up to be. Even their regular menu like the basic of chicken and red meat, was real bad. Number 2: We paid for a Photo Booth thru the venue. The photo booth folks never showed up. Although the venue refunded the money, but all was lost of having our guests take pictures for memories are long gone. Luckily we paid for good photographers (like 4 photographers+videographers). They were able to capture some moments of our families and guests. Number 3: We had wedding crashers! The venue told our son they will have 3 security guards on the wedding dat. We saw none, not only 1 insight. These wedding crashers had the gall to eat cakes, ordered alcohol at the bar and joined our guests on the dance floor!!! Mind you we paid for a premium package which included open bars. Our daughter in law contacted the venue to let them know about all these issues, they didn't offered any compensation or some sort of refunds accept for the photo booth that never showed up. We have 2 other children. We'll never use this venue going forward. We told all of our friends about this venue. A lot of them were at the wedding, so they too know not to book this venue for their own children's weddings. This venue isn't worth mentioning their names. Lake Oak Meadows is pretty but not worth your money to book. There's plenty of beautiful venues around. So please, please ask questions, do comparison before booking. Don't let them tell you that they've a special going on and if you don't book right then and there that you'll loose the deal. It's not worth your money!

It had a full bathroom, and chairs and mirrors for getting ready. The Grooms Suite was awesome nice, and had a foosball table. After, we stopped and had a glass of wine under pretty patio area. The wine we tried was very good, and The View just added to the experience. We didn't have much time here, so hope to go back to explore more.

I could never put into words how grateful I am to Amanda for making my dream wedding come to life…read more I found Truffle Pig Winery in late March, after my venue fell through. I was desperately trying to find a place that had the same date as my save the dates. Then came Truffle Pig. This venue, the staff...everything was a Godsend. If it weren't for them, my already incredibly hard wedding season would have been ruined. I came to Amanda after touring two venues that same day, distressed, covered in dirt, and red in the face from crying. I was met with the warmest embrace & kindest hearts. Truly, Amanda saved my wedding. She (and the rest of the amazing team of course!!) listened to every question, all 1 million of them. She never made me feel like a burden or annoying for asking a million questions and made me EXCITED for my wedding again!! From there, we planned the wedding in three months - something I believe can only be done by people who truly care about the bride above all else. The vision that I had for this wedding was incomparable to the wedding that Amanda & the team put together. My breath was taken away when I stepped into my reception space...so much more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Amanda made sure I was at peace all day. There was a major problem (and the biggest part of my vision) and I had ZERO idea about it because Amanda protected my peace above all else. I could have never imagine having the best wedding ever - not just my words...Many of our guests have told me that it was the best wedding they've ever been to!! I love all of the wedding staff here and my family and I will be back to the winery for years to come, creating new memories. Thank you for everything!! We love you!! -The Guillens

We had our wedding at Villa de Amore and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our…read morecoordinator, Myla, answered emails quickly, kept us organized, and was a great resource on the day itself. The floral and design team turned our vague ideas into a stunning day, and we loved choosing our decor from the warehouse, which meant we did not have to buy a bunch of items we would never use again. They also set up cute photo areas for guests and for us. The venue is absolutely stunning, and the team was great about trying new ideas and adjusting their usual flow to match what we wanted. Our photographer, Nathan of Brew Visuals (included in our contract), took photos we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Johnny, our DJ (also included in our contract), kept guests informed and only missed a few prompts. The bartenders made some seriously yummy drinks, and we loved our tasting with the chef. The food was delicious. We brought our own officiant and thought it was a nice touch that they gave us a credit for that. A few things made the day smoother. All of the vendors wore headsets so everyone stayed connected, which really helped when our day was delayed by a major freeway accident. Being able to drop off our belongings the day before during the rehearsal kept us stress free on the wedding day. We also left a few items behind, and the owner helped us find everything when we drove over the next day. A couple of things to be aware of. We were told multiple times that my dress would be taken out and steamed before I arrived, but it was still in the bag and wrinkled. Luckily it did not show in the photos. Also, the earliest you can arrive is 2pm, which is not ideal for couples who want to do a first look and get family and bridal party photos out of the way before the ceremony. I imagine it works very well for couples planning a more traditional timeline. Finally, it helps to be very descriptive about what you want. We had a custom made, engraved ring box, but our officiant was handed the rings in the bag the box came in, so our ring box was missing from the ceremony entirely. Overall, we would happily recommend Villa de Amore to other couples. It was a relatively stress free experience and didn't entirely break the bank.

Thank you, Villa de Amore, for helping two of my friends weddings become timeless experiences that provided wonderful memories for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to Nicole and the entire Peltzer team for always making my experience performing there so enjoyable, welcoming, and professional. The ambience and service at the bar and in the winery itself is good, even though it gets very busy…read morethe service is still great and it's a great place to sit around and catch up with friends while sipping wine. 5/17/26 Food: I arrived at 5:30pm, sat with friends for 20 minutes I then went to get food. I was told by a staff member that the only food was out of the food truck in front of the building. I ordered nachos and a quesadilla, the waited for 1 hour to get my food, I had ordered by 6pm. I did not get my food until 7:05pm. Two employees were running the food truck and only one was working on the orders. By the time my food was handed to me it was past the time to go. Post ordering I was given a buzzer and was told to stay near because if it went off and I wasn't close it might not buzz. All of my friends were in the member area of the winery so I opted to stay near the food truck. I did ask about my order, I asked for it to just be cancelled but was told that it was being worked on; one hour later I finally received the smallest most bare carne asada nachos and a small quesadilla.
