The cafe is located downstairs in the basement. During the olden days, it was a school house! Now the upstairs is a gym/basketball court. It's quite popular on the weekends! Saturdays are relatively a bit better than Sundays to come through. Expect to wait and people waiting. They sell honey, merch like t-shirts and sweaters, special seasoning and their famous enormous cinnamon rolls! Their menu encompasses breakfast favorites, omelettes and scrambles, along with pancakes, French toast and waffles. Some establishments serve pancakes with the entrees and saw that pancakes weren't an option, even a side! But since you get a lot of food already, it's understandable why pancakes wouldn't be included. My bf and I got the special! Since it's Easter tomorrow, we got the Easter Benedict! Holy moly -- this was a HIT! ** PLEASE make this again, it was delicious!!!** I got mine with the honey country ham while my bf had bacon. They were not skimpy on the meat, it was thick cut and generous. It had scrambled eggs on top with the most delicious amazing hollandaise sauce EVER! It also has tender asparagus at the bottom and the most AMAZING cornbread I've ever had!!! It came with country potatoes. Overall, this dish was DELICIOUS and DEFINITELY worth having again!!!! I got a side of biscuits and gravy. While the pepper gravy was good, I should've requested sausage gravy as that it so much more flavorful! My parents loved their omelettes. The staff is super friendly and rotates around to make sure you were taken cared of and providing more refills on coffee! We absolutely adored Rachel! Exceptional hospitality, service and demeanor!! Loved her!! Maltby tops breakfast and brunch places for me. Cannot wait to be back soon!

I had the biscuits and gravy and my husband had the roughneck and both were good. We also ordered an Americano and a iced latte and the coffees were pretty decent. There was nothing that stood out on the menu to me as exceptionally noteworthy but there were a lot of solid options. The restaurant is downstairs and is very comforting and cozy, it reminded me of my grandmas kitchen. It definitely feels like a place locals frequent. We went on a Friday morning and had to wait for a table, but waited no more than 15 minutes. If you are in the area and looking for comfort food, this a great option.

Also a bonus because the day we came was also the farmers market! Service was welcoming and friendly! They had a few tables with seating inside. We got the raspberry ribbon croissant and egg tart! Wish I had more tummy space to try more items because these pastries were delicious!

This is primarily a review of the cake I ordered for my birthday. I ended up needing to pick up the…read morecake on mother's day because they're closed on Mondays. It was pretty easy to make a cake order and the writing was free, unlike online where it says $5 for writing. When I got the cake, I was a bit disappointed. The writing had bled onto the cake, there was a crack in the frosting and it appeared that the frosting at the bottom leaned piped to the board instead of the cake. I didn't bother mentioning this at pick up because it didn't seem like the worker was also the cake person. The cake itself was a tad dry but light and airy. For the price I paid, I was disappointed by the outcome. Even if it was due to additional cake orders due to mother's day, I do expect better than this when I buy a cake from a local bakery. Also if you like crispy croissants, I do not recommend the Sichuan pepper cruffin. It was tasty but it didn't have the crisp that you'd expect from a bakery.

This place has officially ruined me for every other coffee shop in Woodinville. The coffee is…read moreconsistently amazing every single visit, the café has the cutest, coziest vibe, and somehow everything I've tried has been delicious. The cinnamon bun? Dangerous. The ham and cheese croissant? Perfection. The breakfast sandwich? Worth getting out of bed for. I've done the "maybe this other coffee shop will be just as good" experiment enough times to know better. All I got was terrible coffee and a lighter wallet. Save yourself the disappointment, skip the coffee roulette and just come here. Best in Woodinville hands down!

Sidekick compares favorably with my top tier of coffee shops in the broader area, including Bequest…read morein Mill Creek, 5 Stones in Kirkland, and Diva Espresso in Kenmore. It does the three things I care about most in a coffee shop well: good coffee, a space you actually want to spend time in, and consistently good service. Food & Drink: The coffee is legitimately good--not great, but good. They pull a good espresso shot and are solid across the espresso drinks. "The Local" is my go-to--a latte lightly sweetened with maple syrup from Woodinville Whiskey. It adds enough sweetness to be interesting without overwhelming the coffee. They also have a good selection of milk options and some seasonal/unusual rotating items (Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew happened to be on the menu recently). They don't, however, have a wide variety of straight black coffee options. Both the quality and variety of the pastries are high, with a few gluten-free options as well. I particularly like the savory scones. They also carry some useful non-pastry items like yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and string cheese. Pricing leans moderate to high, although that's pretty traditional for Woodinville. Ambiance & Service: This may be where Sidekick separates itself most. Lots of windows and natural light, plenty of room, and a good variety of seating with sofas, chairs, high tops, and tables. There is also substantial outdoor seating during the summer. It's a welcoming area. There is even a "walk-up" outdoor window for ordering. Noise level is moderate. You can comfortably work here, although I wouldn't try to take a call. Outlets are available along the exterior wall seating. Service has consistently been very good. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and does a good job with the drinks. It feels like a place that is well run rather than simply a nice space with good coffee. The biggest weakness is parking. There is street parking and some garage parking, but parking is problematic in general. Construction throughout 2025 and 2026 has made an already challenging situation noticeably worse. Final Thoughts: Four stars. Sidekick is my favorite coffee shop in Bothell/Woodinville and firmly in my top tier for the broader area. The combination of good espresso, high-quality pastries, very good service, and one of the better coffee shop spaces around makes it an easy place to want to return to, even if the parking makes it difficult. -AC

I ordered the elephant ear latte, which was part of the carnival themed latte lineup. It was delicious. It was sweet and it was a perfect treat. I needed it before heading over to Costco. I did not receive a receipt after paying so I don't know how much my actual drink and the cup was but it came out in total to $14. I also did sub out oat milk. Service was pleasant nothing extraordinary and they were fairly quick and making my beverage. I came around 2 PM on a weekday with no line. Not sure what it's like in the early mornings or peak hours.

Which is fine, but you're in customer service, it is not my job to know that you hate your life, as your customer. (Sorry for the harsh example) This last time, she didn't even smile, and she didn't say a word to me other than "what are you having" and "here you go". I also asked for extra ice and she gave me light ice, and then she barely mixed the drink after putting ice in, so my first sip of my ICED drink was warm. And listen, that in itself is not a huge deal. However, as a former barista myself, it's the little things. And when your barista isn't even nice in any way that's visible, every other aspect of negative is heightened. Just like when someone is kind, people are more willing to... "forgive" mistakes, like "oh I asked for extra ice and she gave me light, but it's okay she was really nice". The espresso they serve is just fine! No complaints there. I suppose this is just a: hey, maybe talk to your baristas about their presentation. Because it turns customers away from your business. 3 different baristas, similar experiences when it comes to their pleasantness.
