Love the location! Most of the food is very good! Some of it is OK. The server was good as well. We came here as a group of 6 for lunch. We sat outside. It was a beautiful day! We shared the fish dip (AMAZING!!), and the shrimp cocktail as our appetizers. The shrimp were Huge! We had a few bloody Mary's and they were also really, really good! Fresh, handmade. No mix! I had a mixed greens salad with a blackened tuna yellowtail on top. The salad was not good. The tuna was ok. A little cold. A little tough, not a lot of flavor, even though it was blackened and I squeezed lemon on it. The "mixed greens" were kinda disappointing. It was mostly big pieces of iceberg lettuce. So, overall, the salad (which came to $40) was the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for the food. My friends ordered a cheeseburger, a soup, a mahi-mahi sandwich, and a chicken sandwich. I don't know how the mahi mahi was, but I know she didn't finish half of it. We had key lime pie for dessert. That was also very good! If I return I'll try something else besides a salad. Everything else that we had was really good! Just for my bill alone, it was $70 for tip, so also not a cheap place. But, you can't beat the location! read more

Our group came here after our off shore fishing trip because they will actually cook your fresh catches!! We actually caught Mahi Mahi and a Triple Tail. The staff here are super helpful and friendly. We went with their suggestions of doing family style and 3 fish preparations blackened, grilled, and jerk. We also had their ceviche preparation and buffalo tomatoes with mozzarella. Amazing lunch easy 5 Stars !! read more

As always, a comment that this on the Ocean Reef Club property and a private club where you can't go if you aren't a member or with a member. We stopped in this afternoon for a few adult beverages and some appetizers since we had a late breakfast. We settled on the Bay Breeze and a Miller Lite to start. We ordered a pound of peel and eat spicy shrimp and a smoked Mahi fish dip. We thought everything was quite tasty. They close early though so we were given last call just after 4:00. That did make us feel a bit rushed. They are situated on the water right next to the marina so you do get a view of the boats coming and going. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. read more

Great casual dining on the water. All seating is covered, but open air. Grab a drink to go or write your name on the white board for dining in. I loved the crab cake sandwich and my husband loved his burger, cooked perfectly to his liking. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the attentive staff serve up drinks and work in the open kitchen. TVs in bar area if you're watching a game, takeout options, and heavy pours. Another great ORC spot, very popular for lunch so make sure you plan accordingly. The fish dip & oysters are normally the first thing our groups order, with the ORC IPA. Ocean Reef is an amazing place but I have just not found that "amazing" meal on site yet. I thought it was going to be here at the Raw Bar, but I was mistaken. We all started with soup, which was outstanding, creamy clam chowder and rich conch chowder, made with fresh seafood and fresh vegetables. It was the highlight of the meal. Next came an order of fish dip with fresh vegetable dippers. This was another great choice and quickly devoured. Finally came sandwiches, hamburgers, fries and other sides like salad and chips. This is where the meal went flat. It was good, but not great and since you pay a premium for everything at The Reef, it also equates to not so great a value. We come here once a month with good friends and the place never disappoints. The place it's basically a huge tent with director chairs. Extremely casual and no AC. It can get warm in there. People are dressed in beach or resort attire. The place it's inside the Ocean Reef Club so you can only come of you are a member or a guest of a club member. The menu choices are no huge. But people swear by their clam chowder soup and oysters. They offer a fresh fish daily special. And the make the bat cocktail Grey Goose Lemonade. Price point it's kind of high. Been here a couple of time and it's just ok. There's no AC so it is very uncomfortable in the warmer months. During high season, wait can be quite long. We've tried: Oysters : no flavor! Fresh but very bland. Possibly the worst oysters I've had in terms of flavor. Steamed mussels: huge sized mussels but not very tasty. Some were very sandy. Caesar salad: so so. Decent size. I have been going here ever since I was little. The service is always friendly, and they welcome me and my family. They always bring me out a crushed ice. (Something I've had every since I was little that I still love!) Their burgers are one of my favorite things on the menu. They have other good stuff on the menu too. I love coming here for lunch. I give the menu two stars, service four stars, atmosphere two stars and the kitchen gets three stars. The menu is extremely limited. The focus here is on all things raw. Don't expect to find a lot of other menu items. They were heavy on salads. Limited appetizers and nothing stood out as unique. Considering this is on Ocean Reef ' s property, I expected more. The service saved this review. Scott was great! He explained menu items, answered 100 questions, and helped convey special requests back and forth between the kitchen. He was prompt, polite, and funny. He read our group well. The atmosphere is as described by other reviewers. It is a large tent screened in on the marina. It is plastic chairs and plastic tables and has a very shrimp boil kind of feel. There is no ambiance and although on a waterway, it is not a special view. It is calm and serene though. The kitchen needs to step it up. My husband had the gumbo. He found it well seasoned and adequate. Nothing fabulous to write home about. We shared half a dozen oysters - both steamed and raw, as well as a dozen steamed clams. The oysters were the downfall. If you intend to serve oysters, you need to know how to shuck them. Every single oyster on our plate had shells on it. I don't find that acceptable for a resort/community of this caliber. The clams were fine but without sauce or anything to liven them up. A good lemon aioli or lemon vinaigrette would've improved the items. Total for 2 after tax and gratuity: $53. read more

Spectacular! We dined at the Raw Bar this evening for the Lobster Bake event, and it was amazing! We had an awesome server named Scott...he was professional, attentive and very friendly. The lobster was absolutely delish, as was the NE style clam chowder, baked potato, corn and cole slaw. I don't even like cole slaw, but this was really good! Definitely recommend! Love this place! I have been coming to the Reef for many years and I have never been to The Raw Bar and now I know why. It's a decent size place that's right on the water, it's casual, but doesn't have A.C.. I went there with my grandmother and our friend. We sat immediately and the server was right there with menus in hand and ready to take our drink order. The Planters Punch was very good and was very refreshing since it was warm outside. We ordered fish dip, shrimp cocktail, and a burger. All 3 of us ate the fish dip and took the rest home. Not even 20 minutes after my grandmother ate the fish dip she threw up still sitting at The Raw Bar!! After taking her home,I got sick, and soon after that our friend called and said she got sick. Our friend called The Raw Bar and spoke to the manager and told him that we all got sick and he should throw the fish dip away. He never apologized nor offer to comp the bill (even though he saw my grandmother get sick). Ocean Reef should have the best of the best considering what the yearly membership fee is and should have better professional people working here. We will never be back to this place, I rather drive 20 miles and get better food and service then going back to this place for half the price. read more
