Bay Breeze cocktail and Miller Lite
Teresa W.

As always, a comment that this on the Ocean Reef Club property and a private club where you can't go if you aren't a member or with a member. We stopped in this afternoon for a few adult beverages and some appetizers since we had a late breakfast. We settled on the Bay Breeze and a Miller Lite to start. We ordered a pound of peel and eat spicy shrimp and a smoked Mahi fish dip. We thought everything was quite tasty. They close early though so we were given last call just after 4:00. That did make us feel a bit rushed. They are situated on the water right next to the marina so you do get a view of the boats coming and going. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.

3.5 / 5 Decent place. I would eat here again but I wouldn't seek to go for it. The quinoa salad had a very bland taste . Oysters and chowders were very good. I do believe this is the best place to eat in ocean reef- per other recommendations and conversations I've had. Atmosphere was good and Our service was terrific. Drinks were always full and the food came out relatively quick. Especially for how busy they were. Overall I was pleased with it.

We come here once a month with good friends and the place never disappoints. The place it's basically a huge tent with director chairs. Extremely casual and no AC. It can get warm in there. People are dressed in beach or resort attire. The place it's inside the Ocean Reef Club so you can only come of you are a member or a guest of a club member. The menu choices are no huge. But people swear by their clam chowder soup and oysters. They offer a fresh fish daily special. And the make the bat cocktail Grey Goose Lemonade. Price point it's kind of high. Important the have a NO PHONE CALL POLICY and I love it.

Best part about this restaurant is the environment. Being outside right next to the water is ideal but get here early because it gets pretty busy.. oh and no reservations!

Spectacular! We dined at the Raw Bar this evening for the Lobster Bake event, and it was amazing! We had an awesome server named Scott...he was professional, attentive and very friendly. The lobster was absolutely delish, as was the NE style clam chowder, baked potato, corn and cole slaw. I don't even like cole slaw, but this was really good! Definitely recommend! Love this place! It was a great experience!

Great place!

Five stars, and I want to explain this properly because High Tide in Key Largo is absolutely a…read moreplace people should experience at least once. This is one of those spots that immediately tells you it's a local favorite the second you walk in. It feels homey, lived in, and deeply rooted in the community. The average crowd definitely skews older, which honestly just shows how loyal the regulars are and how long this place has been doing something right. We stood for a minute or two when we arrived, which wasn't a problem at all, but the initial interaction felt a little abrupt. Nothing hostile, just very direct and urgent. We later found out that Cathy is the owner, and it became clear very quickly that this place is her whole world. She works hard, moves fast, and runs on urgency. That energy can sometimes come off sharp, especially to visitors who aren't used to that local, no frills style, but we gave her the benefit of the doubt. There were moments throughout our visit where the tone felt a little rough around the edges, and it wasn't just with us, we noticed it with other tables too. It didn't feel personal, more like someone who is stretched thin and running on fumes. To her credit, there were moments where she self corrected, and I genuinely believe this was just a long day rather than bad intentions. Running a place like this day in and day out is not easy, and you can feel how much effort goes into keeping it moving. This review isn't meant to tear anyone down, just to be honest for future guests so they know what to expect walking in. What truly changed our entire experience and pushed this from a four star visit to a solid five was our server. Her name started with a T, she wore glasses, and she was African American, and she was an absolute blessing. She treated us with warmth, patience, and genuine care, like we were family she was looking out for. When we sat down and the table needed to be wiped, she handled it gracefully without a single awkward moment. Everything she did felt intentional and kind. She was attentive without hovering, respectful, and genuinely happy to be doing her job. There was also a sweet older Latina woman clearing tables who was just as lovely and welcoming. It became very clear that despite the different personalities, this place functions as a team, and the heart of High Tide lives in the people who treat guests with care and humanity. If you get that server whose name starts with a T, you are in excellent hands. Now let's talk about the food, because this is where High Tide really shines. The hash brown casserole is a straight ten out of ten. No exaggeration. Comfort food perfection. Crispy, savory, and absolutely worth ordering. The country style platter we ordered was also a ten according to my friend, hearty and satisfying in the best way. The lobster benedict was good, I would give it about an eight. It's a fun, unique option if you want to try something different, but not the standout compared to the rest of the menu. And then there's the real star of the show, the Key lime pie. Even if you are not hungry, come for the pie. This is hands down the best Key lime pie I have ever had. Perfectly balanced, not overly tart, smooth and almost cheesecake like in texture. It's the kind of dessert that makes you pause after the first bite because it's that good. Beautifully presented too. The decor is charming and thoughtfully cluttered in a way that feels authentic, not staged. The bathrooms are old but very clean. Parking is a little quirky but manageable, and there is parking available if you're patient. Overall, the vibe is cozy, memorable, and unmistakably local. Would I come back? Absolutely, especially for the food and that pie. Cathy, you are clearly working your ass off, and I hope this was just a rough day. This review comes with honesty and flowers, not shade. Five stars for the food, the heart, and the people who make this place what it is. I do recommend it.

First disclaimer that you cannot dine at this restaurant unless you are a member or with a member…read moreof Ocean Reef Club. Just an FYI based on Yelp feedback. We have eaten at this restaurant several times before when visiting ORC but had never been able to get the pizza. We booked our reservations several weeks in advance for our visit and Valentine's night. The bread basket is always delicious. Lots of choices along with nice butter and a dipping oil. We ordered a few adult beverages to enjoy with the bread and the evening was off to a great start. I knew I wanted margarita pizza and stuck to my plan. It was really good. Hubby had a small salad and a small spaghetti dish for his dinner. He liked both. We do like that they offer smaller size pasta dishes especially if you are having a salad or appetizer. Their fare is Italian but a bit higher end. You can sit outside or dine in the lovely dining room. We were able to get a window seat inside overlooking the Marina which was so nice. I chose a dessert martini instead of a food dessert and it was delicious!!! Salted Nutella martini will make you very happy. Sinful. Reservations suggestions. Enjoy.

We sat by the window while the sun was setting and had a beautiful view of the water. We ordered the calamari, veal & chicken Alfredo for dinner. We really enjoyed the parmesan butter.
