I love the dressing rooms, very spacious and even had a personal fan! Not only are there clothes, There are a ton of accessories to choose from and a limited amount of shoes options. The staff is incredibly helpful with styling you (if you wish to be assisted) The prices vary, but all within reason of the items in stock! I left with a new suit, an embroidered dress, and 2 pairs of sunnies! Will definitely be my first stop when I get back to New York.

I love the idea of this store!…read more I really wish they wouldn't only let you keep store credit for a year -- as plus size people, it's hard to find things that fit our bodies, so expecting people to be able to find something in store that fits them within this time frame feels unrealistic and limiting. Despite coming here 4-5 times, I've only once found one clothing item. I also think changing this policy would help their inventory! I have so many trendy/desirable items that I'd love to sell to them, but because of the time limit, I end up selling to Buffalo Exchange instead since their store credit doesn't expire.

This isn't so much about the store, but about the brand…read more I've been a huge Madewell fan for at least the past 10 yrs. Lately, we're not in alignment as much. In the past, I depended on Madewell for consistently delivering on quality leather goods: tote bags for work, leather boots, loafers and cute casual bags. As an educator, those were my staples. They also had great smooth cotton graphics tees and my faves were when they'd collaborate with orgs such as the NY Botanical Gardens. Rummaging through the sale sections during off season is usually catch some great cardigans and blazers for the fall and great bandannas and jewelry to add a little razzle dazzle. Nowadays, the prices have risen astronomically. Little stackable earrings are now on average $58 and the clasps are weak and poorly made. One day after purchasing 2 pairs from this store, they're coming apart. Purchase a purse, the leather is trashy. A lot of the classics that myself and half the teachers at my school used to purchase have been removed from the rotation. Super annoying! Madewell, please get back to basics. I know the political climate has driven production up , but don't loose your entire customer base and maintain integrity around production. Thanks

The staff are doing research. As a buyer, you'll pay as much as or slightly less than what is being sold on Poshmark or Depop in my opinion. I figured, why not check it out since I'd never been to this one before? This location is definitely on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you--you'll find some beautiful pieces here. The staff is absolutely amazing: super friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, honest. And when I say honest, I mean it. They're very upfront about how low the company's buying percentages are. So if you think you're getting $900 for your $1,400 Balenciaga sneakers, you're sadly mistaken--but they'll tell you exactly what they can offer and even suggest other stores that might better fit your item's value. That kind of integrity and transparency means everything to me. It shows they genuinely care about you and your items. I've already visited twice, and I can confidently say this little Williamsburg shop is hands down the best Buffalo Exchange location. Chelsea and NoHo should definitely come take notes--this is the kind of service every location should strive for. Buffalo Exchange corporate: if every store had this same energy and approach, your brand would truly skyrocket. He quickly gathered five pairs to try, knowing not only the size I said, but using his knowledge of his inventory that fit what I was asking for, even if I didn't directly ask it. Not only did Frank give me five pairs, but he actually put them in an order that would give me the best idea of what to look for in fit and feel. We quickly got down to two pair, and he explained the differences between the two, both short-term and long-term. There was zero pressure, zero pushing, just honest feedback. One pair was twice as much as the other, but he didn't push anything either way. (I went with the less expensive pair -- cheaper is not the right word, because they are excellent quality.) Not only that, he offered to have them hemmed right there on the spot. Within 45 minutes of walking in the door, not only did I have a new pair of jeans, but tailored and walked out the door with my new jeans. As for the jeans? They're great. I went with a pair that Brooklyn Denim made and I absolutely love them. Frank also made a profile for me and saved the info of the other pair that I liked in case I want to order those at a later date. Because I don't live in town, it's a great resource. I really can't recommend Brooklyn Denim enough.

(This store is huge by the way, and a lot of the clothes were really cute.) Aside from the sign to go upstairs, there wasn't much signage for lockers, restrooms or the space itself that I noticed but restrooms and lockers were tucked in the corner behind some black divider belts and class was through an opening in the side wall. I really loved the ambiance of this studio. There were about 8 of us + the instructor. Mats, blocks and weights were provided and we moved at a steady pace through exercises (think Pilates/barre/yoga mix) to music. Naturally light coming in through the windows ended our practice and I left feeling awake and ready for the day. I'll definitely come back!

The indoor studio upstairs is more intimate, but the classes are consistently challenging and the instructors are fantastic. If you get the chance, I highly recommend taking one of their outdoor rooftop classes during the warmer months. The rooftop is spacious and it's such a great experience to practice yoga outside. Overall, a beautiful space with high-quality instruction. I'm always looking forward to my next visit!
