I was curious about this place because I saw some uproar about the opening of this store, in such close proximity, to a school. However, upon entry, the staff member greeted myself and every other person who entered. The item I was going to get was not in stock, but I expected that since the person is famous, but she explained they had been working with his people to try and get restocked. They offer you a discount card on fully priced merchandise and a lot you to spin a wheel for either a freebie or reduced cost in your item. I will say I think some of their items are slightly overpriced but the staff member was excellent here and maybe worth a visit. read more

He gave an overview of every single area and asked what I was looking for or what I had in mind. He even mentioned down stairs area and I mentioned I would check on my own. The selection is smaller than the average back of a Spencer's Gifts store in the mall. I was dissatisfied and very disappointed with the $90+ toy I bought, and it did not do justice for what I was promised. I went to Romantic Depot to get my first sex toy. I was uncomfortable with getting it at a store and was thinking of getting it online. But I changed my mind because I wanted a second opinion and to support a local business. The store was also having a grand opening when I arrived. The windows of the stores were blocked from the outside. The public could not see anything racy when on the streets. It was not like near NYU were more stuff was visible. I liked that. Even though there are a growing population of young adults in Clinton Hill, families and old people still reside here. The presentation integrated well with the neighborhood vibe. Reminded me of a romantic bar with it inviting "couples and singles". I was able to find a toy. I was given a coupon card to use for that purchase and future ones. Good move. An associate, Kai, helped and educated me with my purchase and the store's products. I asked them why the toys were pricey and she gave a valid reason. They were dope. The rest of the associates were friendly. The cashier complimented me on my hair when checking out. They made the experience more comfortable for me since I was unfamiliar. I was told that they ID people before entering the sore but I never IDed. The IDing was still a smart move though. I also was able get another product for a percentage off. I saved a lot of money! There is also a wheel I spun where I won a prize. If you want some bang for your buck, possibly some free adult things, and to support a local business, this is your store.
