If you gave The Pub a litmus test, its pH would be a 7. Its not very reactive, it doesn't inspire any strong feelings in me. It's just there. Hanging out, being neutral, serving drinks. Although, while at The Pub, I once saw a guy wearing white linen pants, white linen button shirt (all buttons open, of course, to do otherwise is just bad fashion), and flip flops. After a long day shopping at Big Lots and Walmart Super Center, I need a place to get black-out drunk. Thank you "The Pub!" To be honest, I dig the bartenders here because they dont make fun of me for going by myself. And they pour a tasty Guinness. YUM. Apparently, the drinks are so good and strong, that fighting is preferred over playing the game when a disagreement exists over who is better at shuffleboard! We were looking for a place after work to hang out for a while and decided to go here on a Monday night. The location is fine; lots of room, lots of pool tables and people were milling around. I ordered a Lucille's IPA that they had on tap, which was excellent. I also ordered the fish and chips which was very mediocre. About what we expected. As far as the service though, this place was horrible. Whoever the bartender was that was serving everybody looked like she hated her life, Which is fine except for she treated everybody that way too. She acted annoyed every time she came to see if things were okay or to take our order. I can't say I can ever recall having someone so rude that is a server! It certainly put us off that place. Needless to say we won't be coming back here on our trip to Tri-Cities. read more

Made it here with some friends on a Friday night. The joint is pretty huge and has a looOOoooooOng bar! They also had a fair selection of brews on tap. Most people were chilling out in the front area (where most of the tables are). In the back there are a few pool tables and more seating---it's huge back here (I've heard there have been bands here, and I imagine they must set up back here). Our server was nice and didn't let us see the bottom of our glasses. We were a bit hungry, so we ordered some food. Mainly fried fare was available when we were here. It was decent, not great. I've heard/seen this place host events (i.e. Mardi Gras Night, St. Patrick's Day, WSU games, etc.), and this place can get pretty jam-packed. Can't wait to give this place another visit. read more

This place is a landmark in Kennewick. Every time I make it home my cousin and I plan a "Pub" night where we invite pretty much everyone we know. Our most recent gathering was Monday. We had a decent sized group, people coming and going all evening. I ate dinner with a friend before most of the group showed up and was pretty impressed. The burger was really good, although they were out of tots (sad) and the waffle fries were way to crispy for my tastes (double sad). The waitress was very attentive...almost too much at times. As people stepped across the threshold she was there "what do you want to drink?" They didn't even have a chance to say hi or sit down before being accosted for their drink order. However, when weighing the opposite scenario I would much rather have an overly attentive server then one who doesn't come back. I'll see you all again in December! read more

My wife and I go to the Pub on a pretty regular basis, but probably not often enough to be a "regular". Their lunch specials are usually pretty good, and a good value to boot. We enjoy the free peanuts and popcorn when we're in the mood to just drink a pitcher of beer and snack a bit. They have a decent draft beer selection, and we've always had really good, friendly service. For us, this is pretty much the default place if we just want a pitcher of beer, or a good burger and a beer. Their fish tacos are actually pretty good too. read more

This place is basic hometown bar. The floor is super dirty... and yea they have the whole throw peanuts on the floor and whatever else you want. They have table games if you can get a table. Jeans and t-shirt is the dress code...or maybe sweatpants. Drink prices are on par with nicer bars (so why go). The staff tried to be friendly to us, but obviously racist from their comments. Maybe the best bar in Tri-Cities, which is kinda like being the best smelling dung beetle. Good selection of beers. Bar made with real wood (not deteriorating particle board). Wood floors (rather than wall to wall carpeting soaked in beer and vomit). They have a make-shift stage they set up for small bands. The place is big enough so that if you don't like the band, you can go to the other end of the bar and carry on a conversation. Also, there are pool tables, darts, a basketball shooting thing, and a couple of video games if you want to do something besides stare at the wall or the bottom of your cup. I love a good dive bar, but that seems to be the only kind of bar in Tri-Cities. This is a nice step up without becoming hoity toity or overpriced. Also tends to get a decent crowd on the weekends. read more

As a transplant to the Tri-Cities and an alumni of Washington State University, Go Cougs, my expectations of a bar are pretty simple. You need at least five beers on tap, it needs to be gloomy, and there needs to be at least two old guys getting drunk at 2:30pm on a weekday. The Pub has this and more, you have your choice of two free bar snacks, popcorn or my favorite peanuts which you then shell and throw on the floor. How great is that. They have about 7 or 8 beers on tap and a full bar selection with some stiff pours, the food is basic pub grub but cheap and plentiful. Lots of specials on sports nights as well as being the prime location to watch Cougar sports, lots of Cougs frequent this establishment. read more

I really want to like this place, especially after they did some remodels. But come on- 20 minutes to get 3 tacos during taco Thursday lunch?? Really?? I cut them some slack when it is packed for a big game, but lately it's been terrible. The staff seem more interested in chatting with friends or co-workers than actually working. Given their location and building size, The Pub has immense potential to be the best (dive) bar in the county. I grew up in the Tri-Cities and have given this place tons of opportunities to impress each time I visit home, but they have ridiculously poor customer service time after time. The bartenders pay almost zero attention to anyone who isn't their friend. From failing to even acknowledge customers who are anxiously awaiting service, literally with money in hand, to their snippety attitudes and ridiculously slow service, all the way to overcharging me roughly 1/3 visits and then arguing about the bill, these people need to figure it out. Whoever owns this bar should take a critical look at their staff and probably just start over! read more

I've thrown two birthday parties here for two different friends and had a horrible experience both times. On both occasions we had a party of about 10 people trying to have a good time and have been singled out by the TINY bouncer in the Iron Maiden shirt (so gross he wears the same shirt every weekend btw ewwww). This last time he insisted that members of our party "got sick in the bathroom" and asked us to leave when we had just arrived! Another party of people were actually the ones he was talking about, but he wouldn't hear reason (basic conversation seemed to really confuse this guy) and asked us to leave. Judging from the outside of this place I expected it to be a complete dump. When I first walked in I thought I had pinned it exactly right because the floor was covered in crap (mostly peanut shells) but it really wasn't bad. We walked into a very nicely lit room that had plenty of activities to keep everyone happy. They have a bunch of pool tables, a huge shuffle board table and a few other games scattered around. They also have free in the shell peanuts and popcorn which is a huge plus. I was also impressed with their waitstaff while we were there, they always came around at the right time but not too early and before I had finished my beer. I've never wanted to go into this place because the outside looks so trashy but it is worth checking out if you are in the tri-cities. (don't expect upscale martinis by any account, this is a mixed drink and beer bar) read more

Pretty disappointing. Good prices on food, but most came out cold. We had chicken with tots (brought fries) and got tots about 6 minutes later (was told 2-3 minutes) were hot, which was shocking. Chicken was hot, fries were almost cold. Also had steak fingers, tasted good but came out cold, same with the fries. Beer was disgusting, seemed like bottom of the keg. Service was slow. Took almost 10 minutes to get served, with 3 waitresses and 15 people sitting. Oh.... And some guy came in vaping ????? No one cared?!?! Like come on guys. Woo! In my visit to the Tri-Cities, 'The Pub' hosted my favorite night out! Woo! It was memorial day weekend (Sunday) and my friend who's a local, told me about a 90's night they were having there because of the holiday. I was like sure! It sounded great! Me and some other friends showed up and it was PACKED! The parking lot and the inside. We got lucky cause some other friends were there before us and they actually held a table with enough seats (there was going to be about 10 of us) and we had a place to sit. Coming in, they had a small dance floor, a DJ, and a table full of older looking 90's games! Sorry, Rubiks cube, Uno... a bunch of stuff! :D The line for the bar was pretty long, and it didn't help that the workers were going a little slow... I don't know, maybe they were understaffed or something, but the line took forever. Whatever, I made sure I ordered enough drinks to get me going for the night, I picked up Uno from the front table, and got a game going with my friends while we drank and waited for the rest of my buddies to show up. They announced a Karaoke contest and everyone told me to sign up so I said sure! The DJ was really good. Playing mostly 90's or early 2000's music for the theme. I ended up getting 2nd place for the contest :( But I still had the best time out, in Kennewick, here. I loved it. I couldn't comment on their mixed drinks and their food as I didn't order either but the vibes were all there and it was honestly a night to remember (or what I CAN remember) haha. I've been here once so I can't really speak to it's "as good as it gets"edness...but my my drinks were just fine. The other patrons were fairly entertaining (people in their 40s+ doing shots on a Thursday FTW...oh wait...leggings with holes in them worn as pants? double winning). Server was attentive and not obnoxious. The place is huge too, with lots of pool tables. I always want to give ANY bar without smoke 5 stars until I remember that not every state is as back-ass-wards as Indiana when it comes to protecting peoples' lungs. The Pub reminds me a lot of the Mousetrap in Indianapolis, which isn't a bad thing at all. I lived in the famed Tri-Cities, well, my friends there labeled it "bi-cities and Tijuana, but I regress. This was my favorite hangout of mine. The atmosphere was your typical sports bar but what I liked about it was its diverse customer base. You'll have groups in their 50's playing darts with a young group in their 20's and getting along great. Where else can you get free peanuts and spill the shells on the floor? I never ate here and am sorry that I missed trying their tacos from what I've read here. The staff was great and their drinks were very fairly priced. Well, any bar drink was priced fairly in Tri Cities after paying Seattle prices. Many a good time spent here while I lived here. read more
