20 year customer, do better. Train your staff, simple thanks and your welcomes go a long way. This has gone on for far to long.

The wait staff is a hit or miss. Sometimes we "pray" to NOT have a particular waitress because she's terrible.

We waited for a hour for drinks with no line. Bartenders were incredibly rude. Honestly never coming back.

Was in town for a wedding and we spent some pre-ceremony time at the nearby Blackthorne. Spacious…read moreinterior with a variety of chair types. I could easily see myself spending a few hours here and lounging, maybe writing or grading papers, and just enjoying the ambiance. It does have that local-pub type feel to it. Easy to find parking right out on the street. I selected the seasonal cocktails Demeter to drink. Gin is my spirit of choice, and the addition of black currants and blackberries was intriguing. The Cassis Noir De Bourgogne was the dominant flavor, rich black currant flavor from the liqueur. I do also appreciate that the drink was a very nice balance between mild tartness and mild sweetness, I could easily drink four or five in a sitting and still feel good about it. I do enjoy the terpene notes from gin and was unfortunately not able to taste them since the black currants were some dominant. The blackberries and the rosemary both struck me as there for the visual appeal more-so than the taste. If the berries were muddled more, then they too could add depth to the flavor. As they were in the mostly intact state I drank around them, a straw would not have been appropriate for the drink. I think one could cut the ice in half, it would still stay cold, and the ease of drinking would go up. I could probably also get more blackberries into my mouth for an additional sensory experience. Lastly, I did wish for more bubbles, more effervescence. Keep a neutral flavor (like carbonated soda) and let the Cassis shine.

We have been coming to Blackthorne Pub since it opened and now consider it our "local." Shane and…read moreher staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Shane puts a lot of thought and effort into her cocktail creations and has a great selection of beers on tap. Every item from the menu we have tried has been delicious. I am especially a fan of the pickle toastie when I'm feeling particularly hormonal LOL. Order at the bar, choose your comfy spot, and settle in with friends or family for a great experience.

My wife and I had dinner here about a week ago. We were visiting Walla Walla from Portland, Oregon…read more The Public House 124 was recommended to us by some locals. It had a nice laid-back feel to it. Our server was very friendly and responsive, and the food was tasty. The next day, I realized I had likely left my credit card there. I called them to inquire about it and they confirmed that I had indeed left the card there. As we were already on route back to Portland I asked if I could pay them to mail the card back to my Portland address. They were happy to mail it to my address at no charge. They said that it wasn't the first time people from out of town had left their credit cards there and they are always more than happy to mail it back to their customers free of charge. The card arrived in the mail a few days later. We appreciate our experience at this establishment, not just because of the good food, but also for going out of their way for their customers.

I had a hard cider within a couple minutes and our food order was in. The kitchen didn't take long, and the food was awesome! The burgers were fresh and juicy, the steak sandwich was juicy and full of flavor. The chicken sandwich was massive! It was cooked well and served on a super soft bun. Everything was delicious! Great food, great service!

The pretzels appetizer was a couple of med 4"-5" pretzels with a couple dipping sauces that you choose. The steak bites are breaded (wish that was in the description ahead of time) and the cook was hit miss. I ordered medium rare. Some bites were medium but still very tender and juicy. I chose the Thai peanut dipping sauce. It was very good but also had a bite so if you don't like heat you may not want this choice. The tots and leftover sauce were tasty enough that they went home with me. . Got in just before the horde. This place was hopping on a Saturday night and once it filled up the acoustics made conversation a bit more difficult. Over all a good place.

Then, they kept getting our orders incorrect. I wondered if it was because it was a loud environment and it was hard to focus on getting orders right or, it also seemed like they were understaffed for the large amount of people that was there. The food was pretty good but nothing to write home about. I had a huckleberry lemon drop which was really delicious (and surprisingly strong for a lemon drop!). Came here on a summer Saturday evening and while it was pretty crowded, there were still tables available and any wait times were very minimal. There are usually live bands playing here on Saturday evenings and it's a nice social environment, but don't expect fast service here.
