My needs are unique, I need a fast, graphically intense computer that can also handle Microsoft spreadsheets, billing, massive downloads. My needs are hybrid- and Andrew realizes that a "one size fit's all" is not going to do what I need. Even more impressive- beyond his technological skills, Andrew is a really nice person. I have been in his store and watched as customers, neighbors, senior citizens, have come in with "locked up" laptops. They clicked on "something" and now have the blinking virus screen. He just smiles, opens up their computer and has miraculously fixed a few right in front of me. He knows their names. He makes them comfortable. They didn't need to call for an appointment 3 days from now. That's why he has been in business for so many years. If you need a computer, or need a repair, do yourself a favor and go to Computer Sense. You won't be sorry.

The pure convenience of being able to call Chris and have him come right to your house (masked up and with plastic covers on his shoes to protect your floors) to tend to your ailing computer aside, he's incredibly nice, friendly and professional, and great at warning you about best and worst case scenarios for the issues you're having with your computer and talking you through your options for dealing with them ahead of time so you don't get any nasty surprises. Best of all, having him come right to my house to fix my laptop has consistently been both faster AND cheaper than leaving the computer at a repair shop where it will languish for days on end before anyone gets around to looking at it. I'd 100%, unreservedly recommend Computer Crisis to anyone having a computer crisis in the Albany area.

I could have done the work myself but I am real busy at work and don't have all my normal tools being a transplant from VA. So I dropped it off. Here are some Negatives - 1. shop is over worked and understaffed. Techs ae coming off the bench to do counter work. 2. They have Vendor issues and need a better tracking system of parts they order. 3. The IT/PC geeks are real good on the Tech side but lack some skills with follow up to the Cust. Here are some Pos. - 1.They know what they are doing. 1000% better then those numb nuts at Best Buy (when I took my PC there 1st I had to tell the tech what my Heat Sync was. "I never seen one that big" he said) 2. They can put the stuff together fast and with high quality (if they get the parts see Neg above). 3. Their prices are in the ballpark with other similar stores and when they mess up they step up and admit it and will knock off some of the cost to get right with their customers. I will return to have more work done if needed on my PC or Laptops. If you need something simple, or a standard fix, then use them. If you have a custom issue or an issue where you need parts heads up you may have to wait a week or two, and follow up with them until they get staff in that can handle customer service leaving the Geeks on the bench where they belong. William "Billdog" Nelson Took my Frankenstein back in due to USB and software issues. CA did not have to but they waived the charges for the issues I had. I loaded UniBlue software to clean my PC and check for updated drivers. Come to fine out that UniBlue was doing more damage then help Matt spent 6 hours resetting my PC and cleaning out all the problems UniBlue software caused. I have already spread the word to others I know that if you need PC work done take it to CA. They have hired new staff and are running a tighter ship. BillDog

I was told that they would call me with the dianosis and estimate after they had looked at it, would which take at least three days. When I hadn't heard anything in a week, I called, mainly to make sure they had my correct phone number. Again, I was told that someone would look at it and get back to me shortly. Okay, fair enough. A week later, after hearing nothing, I called back. I was told that the tech "has it on his desk" and would get back to me. THREE WEEKS LATER and nothing. I called and spoke to the tech. He said he would look at it and call me "later today." That was on a Thursday. By the following Saturday, I hadn't heard back, so I went in and asked them to just give me the PS3 back. The story is also dirty and the work area is a pile of junk, electronics, and random parts. Other people have mentioned things being lost and broken and I can see why.
