The place is very small but it is confortable. They have a good coffee. The have a good selection of sweet cakes that are hand made. If you have the lucky and yoy find place in the terrace I will recommend to go there because the views to the okanagan lake are amasing.

Awesomely quaint little place! We stopped here so we could have breakfast by the lake but it was raining that morning :(. Still though, the food was so fresh and tasty and the owner was so pleasant that we still quite like this place and will definitely come back!

Authentic Czech bakeries, love that their bakings are not too sweet. Perfect with morning coffee on the way to beautiful lake beach.

    * Hearty bread from freshly milled grain *…read more Entering this bakery you see a glass window protecting a wooden grain mill where they were milling grain to freshly make the flours for their bread. Can't get fresher than that! They started their business far away from the Okanagan in Cowichan Bay back in 2004. Recently they opened up this new second location in the heart of the Okanagan on Main Street in Summerland. They have a variety of organic grains available including red fife, spelt, and rye. And they also have some that weren't labeled as organic, but seem to come from cleaner sources including Kamut and a series of Vancouver Island Red Spring wheats from smaller farms. The rye bread looked delicious - so couldn't resist getting a loaf. It had a superb crust and a dense crumb. It was dusted in flour (perhaps just a tad too much, but I'm nitpicking). There was a slight sourdough flavour which enhanced the flavour profile nicely.
