This is the beat breakfast in Penticton, heck maybe even interior BC. They said Terry's comfort food with attitude and damn did I get comfortable. Come in hangry and let Terry take away that narsty attitude with some LARGE AS FUUUCK delicious portions and kind servers. 10/10 would muck again

I got the (I forget what it's actually called, but 2 eggs, hash browns and pancakes). I also got an earl grey tea and I couldn't be happier that it was Tazo! As for the breakfast itself, it was a really good portion for the price paid. They gave a lot of hash browns and as you may have seen in pictures, their pancakes are HUGE! I would defiantly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch! Good prices for good portions!

Vegi wrap (6/10) other stuff was way better

Can you say massive portions...holly cow. I ordered the full order of the Mexican bowl (8/10) and was pleased with the quality and stoked about the size of the portion. My two daughters helped me while I was at the restaurant, and later that afternoon it fed two of us as well. The blueberry pancakes (9/10) where not only delish but at under 9 bucks, a great value Took a bit to get in though. That being said, it was Sunday morning so...Our table of six took a bit to have our order taken and a lottle to long to get served, so if your in a rush go elsewhere. I would definitely go back. I love these mom-and-pop joints with big portions and unique dishes. The quality was very good as well. Sometimes you just want the comfort of having breakfast food, and if that is your case that you will be very happy you chose this place.

Veggie Scramble - the "smaller" portion with marble rye toast

Funny how we have never gone there despite having family living in Penticton! Well, to be honest, I bet they would find it quite pricey for a breakfast joint. Yes, it is on the pricey side but the portions are huge to justify it. I'm not sure if heaps and heaps of french fries and pan fries would make it worth paying $15 - $22 a plate. When our little family went there, Hubby had the bacon cheeseburger with fries, kid had the little burger and he's not a fan of fries so we got a side of coleslaw (no, they do not have sides of carrot sticks or apple slices ! ) and I had the smaller portion of the Veggie scramble. Hubby really enjoyed his burger - said it was pretty good and freshly made and fries were good but not as good as White Spot. The kid really liked his burger but it could have some cheese or mayo on the bun - good thing there's ketchup! So we were told they don't offer any fresh veggies or salads or fruit as a side - kinda disappointing as they do fruit in their pancakes. Okay, we got a side slaw that looks a lot like the White Spot version but sadly, it didn't make the taste. I tried it and it was so bland that I put salt in it (which I never do) - seriously needed some zing! Speaking of bland, I got my huge veggie scramble and it looked good and the potatoes were very brown & crispy but what ruined it was the sauce on it! Not a cheese or hollandaise but a brownish sauce with a slightly sweet taste and so much of it! There was cheese but not enough to make the sauce taste better and it just needed more than the salt and pepper that again I had to use! I think a siracha or even hp sauce was needed. There was a lot - I ate some of the eggs and veggies (too much chopped onions) and whatever bites of potatoes that weren't drowned in sauce. i suggest to ask for sauce on side or omit it all together and go with ketchup. Overall, food was generous / mainly with fries/potatoes, service can be a bit slow but at least the coffee was refilled as it was lunch time and did get busy and for those who are watching their starchy carbs and fats - do not come here! A bit pricey and while I understand their menu says they use local and non gmo ingredients but somehow it doesn't quite measure up to my expectations.

Appears to be a local favorite. Portion are large couldn't finish the smaller size BC bowl. Food was good. Maybe ask for the sauce on side.

BC bowl- 2/3 potatoes if not more! Order the smaller portion unless you want to pack fried potatoes for home lol

I ordered a 5 eggs omelette with mushrooms and my gf decided to go for the BC bowl. She decided to test her limits and ordered the original size; don't make the same mistake! 2/3 of the bowl is potatoes! She managed to eat almost all the toppings which included eggs, cheese, tomatoes and bacon but she left almost all the potatoes. I believe the smaller portion should be over filled with potatoes too. She wanted to substitute her toast with sth else like salad however they don't seem to offer anything green on the side. I loved the omelette; probably one of the best I've ever had. The environment is small, friendly and cozy. The service was fast.

BC bowl at Terry's. This is the smaller size and I still didn't eat half.

Meh- just ordinary eggs and bacon. $16 (2 slices of bacon) nothing about this place is worthy of its prices.

It's just too bad that on our second trip to the same region months later the trailer was not on a higher spot, given said boats were no longer grounded. It was on our last trip in the fall of 2016 when my girlfriend and I heard about the Crêperie Ooolala. We enjoyed the experience so much that on a follow-up trip less than a year later, it was one of the few destinations earning a revisit. Alas, there was no creperie to be found, as the location it had usually claimed was quite literally below the water line. It's a tragedy that people still ignore the consequences of man-mad climate change, even with the evidence is so plain to see. The Penticton beaches were gone, the park nearby fenced off, leaving poor Crêperie Ooolala nowhere to park. Denied. If and when it does return, everyone should take the opportunity to samples their crepes. The two hosts are friendly, fast, and believe it or not, very, very French. Their selection is authentic and the girlfriend and I both ordered brunch before embarking on another leg of our wine tour. If you happen to find this trailer, don't miss out...though I fear they may as endangered as the Do-Do. Their Facebook was last updated at the beginning of May, and when I called them at the end of the month, they explained they were still closed. The Crêperie Ooolala is adorable, what a food trailer would look like in a Monet painting or, to take a more modern comparison, a city Lego set. There are small tables nearby covered in cloth for those to sit, most under the shadow of the SS Sicamous. These were by far the best crepes I have ever had, hopefully an authentic representation of the owner's homeland, regardless if that homeland is actual France or Quebec.

Crepes were lukewarm and rubbery. It was obvious they were at least 2 days old. The crème brûlée was nothing more than scrambled eggs with a thin attempt at ar brûléed sugar topping. When we mentioned to the server that the egg custard was scrambled we were told "that's the way we do it and everyone likes it". We've been to Paris many times and have had many crème brûlées so we know what the texture should be. Perhaps the local clientele believe this food is French but it was a huge disappointment. Will definitely not return.

Whatever the reason, we all stop for urgent body functions - whether it be for intake or outtake (so to speak). Breakfast is the cornerstone of getting you started off on the right path of regularity. I still don't understand why Chicken and Pigs are the breakfast foods and not Cows but who's to argue about good bacon? Surely not me. I'm a bit of a bougie breakfast guy - you know, eggs delicately poached and placed ever so carefully on some form of flat starch, served with a sauce that better not be broken or I might go nuke on you. AND sometimes I'm that guy that wants a good chicken and waffle. And then if I'm having one of those days, I just want a good ol' American brekkie... You know the ones. If you're a GenX and older, it's that breakfast we saw on TV that everyone ate. The artery blocking, waist expanding, but who gives a crap 'cause I'm on cholesterol meds Breakfast of Champions. Well, if you're in that mood, you found the right place. Tootsies - I'm leaving the politically correct name crusades to all those "others" as I just came to quell the need for grease - by all extent is the place to get your brekkie on. It's a no-nonsense diner with decor that befits the era where food was served and no one knew what a nutritional guide was. AND it's located in what else, the areas industrial spot, where people can eat a buzzillion calories and burn it off before lunch. Walk in and you get a polite "sit anywhere you want" and we do. Table and booths are available, equally having the slight stickiness that says you are at an old fashioned diner. Ahhhh... My childhood floods back! Food here is simple. Eggs, meat, starchy stuff and coffee. They come in different sizes and if you had your ozempic shot, order away! Eggs were spot on, bacon was salty perfect, and coffee had that unforgetable taste of a carafe with brown slick of coffees past - ahhhhh... Good old days! It's not destination dining but if you happen to be out and about and don't know where to break your fast? Think Tootsies - no matter what you might think of the name. Cheers.
