Boulderin!

Great experience guys. Aside from a great gym and a good vibe, Love the staff! Thanks Jeff Daniel & Jabari!

We love coming here! Lots of top roping for all levels. My husband and I usually come here on days we are both available and the kids are at school, just to get a change of scenery for a few hours :) This location was originally a post office hub, converted into a climbing gym. As with many other Touchstone locations, another great use of unused space! Member only hours 9-10am on weekends! So far this is the only gym I have seen with speed climbing equipment. I haven't seen anyone use it though! Not sure if they have speed climbing clinics but they absolutely consider it if they don't. I have seen staff walking around checking our belay cards. It's not clear that they are staff though, so I think that's where the confusion is with the place seeming like it's understaffed. They always have people staffed at the front desk and they have been helpful. All in all, this is a great place to come with plenty of parking on site and along Fair Oaks Ave and near the park. We can't have enough of this place.

Visited this gym for the first time today, and it has some interesting layout choices. It had space for both boulderin and rope; the walltopia walls were great. The only thing is that on a warm day: 91F, the rope area gets very warm and humid, and air circulation is not great at this place. Otherwise, the sets were nice, and staff service was okay.

Highly recommend trying this out! This was so much fun! We had a blast. This is not just a climbing spot. It is also a gym, and It has all you need to be active. It even has saunas. Climbing It is a good full body workout. I definitely felt it on the third day. Be ready to get some big bruises on your legs and arms. This place is kept clean and the staff are really nice and friendly. This one experience made this my favorite hobby. I will be returning real soon to do it again with the family and friends. Price: $$ Service: 100%

I come to The Post with friends whenever I'm in town, and I prefer the problems here compared to those at my Bouldering Project gym. The BP gym I go to has even softer grading than here, so this place does feel like the routes are more challenging. All areas of the gym (including the restrooms!) are very clean and well-kept, free from the smell of sweat that is common in a lot of other gyms. The Post has walls for both rope climbing and bouldering, and a few tables for working. The staff are always friendly too! On the downside, the price for a day pass is pretty steep ($30 at time of writing), not even including rental shoes or chalk if you need them. I always come with a member to get $10 off the day pass, but even the discounted rate here is the same as full-price in other gyms. The mats are also pretty hard, so you have to be careful if you take a fall. Also, the last few times I've been here the A/C wasn't on, so the entire gym felt stuffy. At peak hours in the afternoon/evening, the bouldering areas can be crowded as well, so sometimes it's difficult to get time with a particular problem. I've been climbing for about a year so most of these issues (besides the price) aren't too significant; however these factors may be less pleasant to someone new to climbing. Parking is decent, if you come before peak hours you can definitely get a spot! If not, there's always street parking a block down.

Honestly, the gym was fine, it just wasn't my vibe. I usually climb for fun and the routes weren't that fun/creative. I'm used to climbing at the bouldering projects in austin and momentum in houston and this gym def ranks last out of the three. It seems like the holds just get smaller when the grades increase. The routes are very vertical, rather than utilizing wall space left and right. The downs are spaced too far from some routes in my opinion. I really like volumes and this gym had none. I get they're expensive though. I'm not from LA, so I would definitely try a different gym before I returned back to this one. Though I didn't like this gym, they had lots of training boards and the facilities were nice and clean. Good amount of cubby storage for belongings.

Great gym, lots of climbers and very clean plus modern. Bouldering, top roping, lead, and a gym to work out. OOther commenters were right in that the setting was on the softer side. A 5.10A top roping would maybe feel like a 5.7 or 5.8 at a different gym. Overall, great gym.

Good place, clean gym, cool people. I go here like once a week and they do a good job letting everyone feel welcome and updating the routes.

I've been a long time member of Corepower so I've had my fair share of hot yoga, and it makes me appreciate the way that hot 8 operates - they have multiple types of classes - I tried Strength, Yin, Sculpt, and they're all fantastic. The membership feels so worth it because of the variety of classes and the multiple rooms/times available. I will definitely be returning. Shout out to the front desk staff - they helped me solve issues with my booking process (my fault) and were so kind/patient when exposing the different classes to me. Oh and shoutout to Allison Chiang - the Strength instructor. She brought the energy and spent time on form correction. So key! Finally - there's free parking with validation in the building! Makes it so easy to commit to the practice.

My favorite class at the moment is Yin, which is a restorative deep fascia release class. (I've had some injuries unrelated to yoga, so I need something more restorative.) Prior to my injury I was taking the Barre classes for 5 to 7 days a week and it changed my life for the best. I am very much looking forward to taking the new Strength classes once I'm feeling up for it. I recommend Mia and Damara for Barre. I recommend Jaz, Shanai (who is also an excellent barre teacher too), and Rachel for Yin. Jaz teaches extra special Yin class with tennis balls that help students stretch into their fascia even more deeply, and is better than any massage I've ever had! With my injury, I'm not sure that I would have continued with my annual executive membership if Jaz were not teaching Yin. Her classes have been a godsend. Even when I'm healed I will continue taking her classes! All the teachers are quite good; I just have my favorites based on personality and instruction style. You are sure to find someone who will exceed your needs! The three reasons that I decided not to give the studio five stars are: 1. they've been running out of the towels that I get with my particular membership. 2. there are some rude students who interrupt important times of instruction, especially the Shavasana, which is critical to closing out a successful yoga practice. 3. The showers can sometimes be a little slimy, which is pretty gross. This was not the case when I first started taking classes almost 2 years ago.

The staff is always friendly when I come in and they're happy to help with anything. I enjoy the variety of classes offered here, there's something for every need. The classrooms are heated and I definitely work up a sweat for the tough workouts/flows. The cool scented towels after classes are super nice. The studio is cozy! There's no showers, but all the areas including the bathrooms are very clean and well kept. There are lockers with built in locks to store your items. I'm in and out of there after my classes. I also love that they have community events and offer special things like sound baths here and there. I look forward to checking out these events in the future once I'm not so busy.

Now that I'm healed, I was thinking about going back to Corepower but the algorithm must have seen me browsing yoga studios and an ad for this place popped up on my Instagram for a $36 for 3 classes intro deal. I was a bit weary of my card automatically getting billed for a membership once my three classes ended, so I called the studio and spoke to Kelsey (She's the daytime studio manager I think) who assured me that there's no catch, I can take the three classes for $36 and decide from there if I want to buy a membership or not. She was super friendly and helpful, she asked me what I was looking for and helped recommend me which classes might be good for me. My first class I took Dahhee's mobility class which I enjoyed. While it definitely feels like yoga, it's not a traditional yoga flow class where you're doing chaturangas and sun salutations between each sequence but a mix of yoga, stretching, and strength building. The second class I took was Kyle's slow flow class. This was more similar to classes I've taken in the past at other studios and I really loved that Kyle integrated her playlist with the movement. The studio is also very welcoming, the first class I went to was an evening class and the evening studio manager Karisma greeted me and helped me check in, while the second time I went during the day and Kelsey was there. There's free combination code lockers in the locker room which is really nice, you don't have to bring your own lock. Parking is fairly easy, they don't have their own lot but there's free street parking on their street. Both times I found street parking right on their street, though they also validate meter parking as the free section is limited. You should give yourself some time to walk over in case you have to park up the street. The two cons I have are: 1) No showers 2) The classes are only warm not hot. I asked Kelsey and she said both classes I took they heat the room to 90 degrees. As someone who's always cold, 90 degrees I'm barely breaking a sweat. The no showers thing actually didn't matter too much because I wasn't drenched in sweat like I usually am after hot yoga. Next week I plan to take the "Power flow" class which I'm told is hotter and also more difficult, so I'm looking forward to it.

Nothing beats the intelligence of the Iyengar system, imho! I will say that Paul has a unique way of balancing his precise knowledge with a very spacious accommodation, which is TRULY the art of an engaged teacher. However, there are other instructors here (I won't name names) that unfortunately trigger my sympathetic nervous system with their tone, and overuse of the word "should." As much as I try to get past this, my breath and body just become tight, and I don't move as freely with overly managed instruction. Yoga House could be one of the last studios on the Eastside that uphold the integrity of a yogic learning environment. As a yogi of 25 years, and an instructor myself, I recommend the Iyengar classes to anyone working to heal injuries and those who want to deepen their practice. It's not a miracle, but a more serious approach to yoga can be transformative, on many levels.

I recently attended the class for people with mobility challenges, led by the incredible Peggy, and it was truly a transformative experience. As someone living with Lupus and Muscular Dystrophy, finding a movement space where I feel safe, seen, and supported has been a long journey. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed--not just by the staff, but by the beautiful community that gathers here. There's a genuine warmth in the room that you can feel, and Peggy's presence and guidance made all the difference. She was patient, attentive, and so compassionate, offering helpful adjustments and making sure each student felt comfortable and included. The studio is clean, calm, and absolutely beautiful. They offer plenty of props to support your practice, and the meditation beginning and at the end of class was the perfect way to wind down and reconnect with myself. It's rare to find a space that honors both your limitations and your potential--but Pasadena Yoga House does just that. If you're looking for a welcoming, inclusive, and healing space to move, breathe, and just be--you've found it. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone, especially those with mobility challenges or chronic conditions. I left feeling lighter, supported, and truly at home.
