Hot chocolate

Driving through the area and stumbled upon The Posh Bagel. We ordered the Slice Lox Eggwich sandwich on the everything bagel, the veggie eggwich sandwich and a hot chocolate. The Lox bagel was fresh and we appreciated that they put a lot of cream cheese inside the bagel and the bagel was soft. The veggie eggwich was simple, I'd probably try something different if I went back. Service was standard. They do have wifi so it could be a spot to hang out for a bit.

Avocado & Cheddar Sandwich on a Posh Popper

Every time I come here, I get the avocado and cheese sandwich on a Posh Popper (a jalapeño cheddar bagel). It's got literally everything - mayo, mustard, sprouts, cucumber, pickles, avocado, cheddar, tomato, lettuce, and pepperoncini! It is quite honestly one of my favorite foods! They always make the sandwich quickly, and it's just so good every time.

Cheese and pesto

The best bagel so far. Cheese and pesto with chive cream cheese. OMG so good double toasted. Always quick and faster. I never stay to eat, but it's really nice and clean inside with a little cozy look. I have to remind myself if I do bagels, it has to be once a week or once every other week. If I didn't have a guilty conscience, I could eat one every day. So good

3.5/5. This spot offers a wide variety of options, from bagels and sandwiches to omelettes and crepes. Additionally, there were numerous drink options, including coffee, smoothies, and bubble tea. While the service was decent, the wait time wasn't as quick as I anticipated. Plenty of seating! Tables and chairs. I had the jalapeno cheddar bagel with egg, cheddar, and bacon, which was definitely a classic combo. My only wish was that they offered some kind of sauce (maybe an aioli) to dip it in for extra flavor. Strawberry and banana crepe with Nutella. The fruits were fresh and the crepe was made to order. The whipped cream had already melted by the time it arrived.

Love the atmosphere here. They play a variety of music here depending on who's the dj. The food is just delicious. Great breakfast place to chill and enjoy the start of your day. I want to thank Daisy and Sok for their amazing customer service. They are the best.

Egg, chorizo, cheese, + avocado on a cheddar bagel $10.95 with tax
Courtney S.

To the women who made my chorizo egg & cheese + avocado, I hope your partner treats you well & if they don't I WILL. I've been here hella times & have never wrote a review but this got it for me. $10.95 for this sandwich & absolutely worth every penny. Clean environment, friendly service, great sandwich 10/10 thank youuuu boookies!

Posh bagel does a great job and I would give five stars except for one thing. The jalapeño cheese bagels (they call it the posh popper) always end up missing a jalapeño or three - they look beautiful in the vase but as soon as they cut/toast it all of the jalapeños end up missing.

Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese

This bagel place sucks. I have never had such a salty, worst tasting bagel with such a skimpy amount of cream cheese in my life. I have always been a Big apple bagel girl and since they're shut down, I decided to try out posh bagel again (I have had chewy bagels in the past which was also disappointing but thought I would give it another chance). My bagel was so salty for a plain bagels and the amount of cream cheese was offensive. I am utterly disappointed that Castro Valley's standards for bagel is this place.

Eggwich Special added Sausage

I got the Eggwich Special + add sausage patty. It was about $15 and service was rather quick. The inside of the shop was cute and stocked with drinks and other quick grab snacks. I have to say I loved this bagel. It was soooo good!! I loved the garlic cream cheese. The veggies were cooked well and the bagel was soft. However, I was unable to give them 5 stars as the price of the bagel turned me off. I do feel as though it was very expensive and wish it was more affordable. If it was, I definitely would be back more often!

Jalapeño Bagel with Cream Cheese

My bf always said this place is sooo delicious that I must try it! I am not really a bagel type of girl tbh, I told him that too. But of course my bf insisted so I finally gave in and man!!! I was in love! We shared a jalapeño bagel with cream cheese in the middle! Man sooo simple yet sooo delicious!! I love the freshness of the bagel. Keep in mind this place is a brunch spot so they are only open during the morning and close like around 2-3PM.

Thought I would stop and get a breakfast bagel sandwich before work and this is literally the driest bagel I ever had.

Besides me having to wipe down my own table and not greeted properly but with a bothered face of not wanting to be at work..the food looked and taste decent. First and last time ever coming here

Onion bagel with very little cream cheese. Ordered chive cream cheese and got green onion
Chef C.

The bagels are good, very disappointed when I brought my bagel home to find only a small amount of cream cheese. I ordered chive cream cheese, I got green onion service took between 15 and 20min to get my one bagel. Seemed disorganized.

The cheese wasn't even melted. The egg was so thin and dry. The bagel tasted and felt store-bought but a little bit worse. And the whole thing felt cold. I get sad all over again thinking about this bagel. The bacon was actually fine, though. The Southern Tradition wasn't that good either. They said they could do avocado add on for $0.80. Look at the disappointing avocado schmear in the picture. You have to search for it. I think it was actually guac too. We did think that it might have been guac since the menu doesnt have avocado, just guac. Which is why we specifically asked if they could do avocado-- and we saw another review mention that they got avocado. They said yes, but if it was going to be guac, I wish they corrected us. The apple pie muffin looked tempting but it wasn't worth it. It wasn't bad but I had one bite and didn't need another. I mean we did finish the bagels but it was a sad experience to. I literally cry inside thinking about that bagel. The muffin did not get finished. Should have just went to Posh :(

Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)
