He got away with the bulk of it by refusing to allow me to pay what was agreed and wouldn't return my vehicle though i'd driven 4 hours to pick it up on Christmas Eve. Then when I came to pick the car up, he says the entire line needed to be replaced and it came to 410 dollars!!! When I questioned it, the person at the counter was rude and dismissive, saying "What do you want me to do, take the battery out?" That's not a real option, it felt like pressure. He gave a fake apology and blamed me for a "misunderstanding," but I was clearly misled. I later confirmed the battery has a 36-month free replacement warranty, and Firestone failed to honor it. Compared to the relentless upselling I've experienced at Jaguar dealer repair shops, Dan's honesty was a breath of fresh air.
